We have stayed at the Finlen HOTEL several times now in different rooms. They have a connected motel that is very cheap, but we have not stayed there. While dating from the 1920's, the brick building and steam heat are typical of "Uptown" Butte, the historical city center. The staff are generally very good and the Hotel is clean and...

We were on a road trip from Seattle to Denver ,and Butte was a logical stop. We made reservations after consulting Trip Advisor but were worried when we saw the place on arriving in town. But it was late and we decided it would have to do. But I must say it was clean, convenient to dining, and well worth...

It is a nice relaxing hotel with history. The rooms in the winter are heated with a radiator and thankfully the windows open to allow for cooling. The beds were a bit stiff, made for a hard night sleeping. I would definitely stay again, just would be nice to have a little softer bed.

This hotel is such a gem, and for the price is a bargain. This time travelling in winter, the only issue I had is that the steam heater was so hot with no controls in the room, that we had to sleep with the window open. Being right across the street from my favorite restaurant, Uptown Cafe, and within walking...

We made the reservation from the road, when we got there we found out it was the last room. It's a lovely old hotel, in downtown. We had no problem getting parking on the street near the entrance. The staff were very informative and helpful, not overly chatty. The room was clean and adequate, albiet smallish as with all hotels...

We stayed here for 1 night. We parked in the car park attached to the motel/hotel but we also didnt see a problem getting parking on the streets. The lobby is lovely and you feel like you have stepped back in time. The staff on the reception were very helpful. The hotel location is good and you really feel like...

Stayed there 2 nights. The lobby was very nice and the people at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The room was nice, but on the small size. The bed was for two people was only full size. The room was clean, had a nice desk and closet. The bathroom had a small tub with a shower. The...

Can't comment on the motel section, but the 1920's era hotel is a beautiful place. Though on the small side, our room was spotless and well-equipped. Some truth-in-advertising notes: 1) We had a streetside (rather than an inside) room on the third floor, and because the window a/c units had been removed for the season, left the window open. We...

Cool old hotel! Admittedly, when I stayed there the 1st night it did have a slight air of the hotel from "The Shining" in that it was rather empty. (I happen to like that kind of thing). However, if you appreciate interesting old architecture, chandeliers, and neat old woodworking - check this hotel out. Admittedly, the lobby and main floor...

We stayed in the Motor Inn portion of the hotel which is the 1970ish motel attached to the 1924 historic hotel. When we arrived late at night after a long drive from Yellowstone I can't say I was all that excited. People were sitting outside the room smoking and the car in front of us threw a full PBR out...
