Nancy and Scott were exactly the kind of B&B hosts you'd hope to have out in the woods -- knowledgeable, nice, and well-equipped. Breakfast every morning was home-cooked and absolutely fantastic, and was a hearty way to start the day. Nancy's bag lunches were also...More

My husband and I stayed at Smoky Bear Ranch last September, and it was fabulous, however, I seem to remember something about restrictions on children in the main lodge - but don't remember the specifics. I checked and can't find it on the website, but it used to be there someplace... maybe it has changed. There is a cabin option, but that doesn't include breakfast, which was WONDERFUL. I don't remember what time, but I'm thinking it was 8 AM. The route you mentioned for getting to West Glacier from there was a good one, and Nancy and Scott were really helpful with directions and suggestions, they know the area REALLY well! I hope this helps you... to contact them directly to find out about their policy on kids, the phone number is: 1-800-555-3806.

"Pine and Cedar rooms open directly into dining area, for more quiet, choose Apgar Suite (or get a cabin)"
