Great location for the West entrance of GNP. We rented the Chalet for a week & everything we could possibly need was provided including bear spray. Some questions came up regarding the heat in the cabin & Ryan stopped by almost immediately & gave us a rundown on everything. Very responsive. Enjoyed our stay immensely, especially the hot tub after a day spent hiking. We would definitely rent again. Might even bring the kids next time. 😊

We’ve enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Reclusive Moose Elk Cabin. The cabin is simply beautiful with everything you would need. It is in a nice setting just off the road with cabins just far enough apart not to be on top of each other. Reclusive Moose Cabins are located about 9 miles north of Columbia Falls not very far from the Glacier National Park entrance. Back roads will take you to Route 2 to get you to within a few miles of the park entrance. I’m quite surprised by negative reviews regarding the owner’s “no pets” and “no ATV” rules. It is their property, their rules. I commend the owners for enforcing their rules. That is one thing that makes Reclusive Moose Cabins a great choice and maintains the cleanliness of their cabins. We are animal lovers but we left our pet at home with sitters for our vacation. I would never impose my pet or a noisy vehicle on someone else's property.

My family of four stayed here on a trip to visit Glacier. It is a great set up. It is 20 minutes to the west entrance of the park, full kitchen, fire pit, a communal gas and charcoal grills, comfortable beds and super clean.

We planned a last minute trip to Glacier NP and hoped to stay in a cabin within a close driving distance to the park entrance. My husband came across the Reclusive Moose website when searching for places and emailed to inquire about availability. The very nice owners responded promptly and luckily had an opening, so were able to book it. We had a perfect 3 nights in the Trout cabin. Our 10 year old absolutely loved the trout theming in the cabin, which was done perfectly. It was very clean and comfortable - it felt like being at home. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you could need. Beds/linens were very comfortable. The location is perfect for the park but very nicely secluded in the woods. Ryan stopped by one morning to make sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again if we make another trip up to Glacier. Thank you!

I spent a week here with my fiancé, parents, and sister to celebrate my engagement in early May. The cabin is in a perfect location, with easy driving distances (no more than 20 minutes i believe) to Glacier National Park, Columbia Falls, downtown White Fish, and downtown Kalispell. The views from the cabin are incredible and it was great to just eat breakfast on the balcony or sit in the hot tip while looking out at the mountains. Christie has made the place extremely cozy. The kitchen/living area are perfect for everyone hanging out, eating, and playing games and the design touches are all related to Glacier National Park which we really liked. The master is amazing, with a super comfy bed, immediate access to the porch with hot tubs, and heated floors.

It was so worth the stay and the cabin was amazing. The cabin was very well stocked with everything you would need from the bathroom amenities to the kitchen amenities. The cabins are in a very convenient location because its not to far from town and also not very far Glacier national park. The cabins are absolutely gorgeous on the inside and outside. The cabin felt very homie and comfortable. On our last day we we're very sad that we had to leave because we had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. I would definitely be staying at the Reclusive Moose Cabins again.

Room Tip: The cabins get snatched up pretty quick so I would suggest booking months or a year in advance.

RM Chalet is a rare find. It is situated in a peaceful and private woods setting w/in 30 min of Glacier National Park. The owners are responsive to any needs and communicate promptly. They have thought of many small details that make this chalet cozy. For example, the hall in the downstairs master has motion sensor lights just outside of the bathroom and the decor throughout is carefully chosen. Amenities we enjoyed include: bikes to explore near the cabin, bear spray to borrow for hikes, a fire pit, a hot tub that was sparkling clean, and a delightful 2nd floor deck. The many details and loving touches make this vacation home a 5 star.

Our first-ever vacation to Glacier National Park was made all the more enjoyable by the fortunate choice to stay in the Reclusive Moose Cabins (ours was the Moose Cabin, in fact). These tidy and comfortable cabins were perfect for our needs. They were well-equipped, ideally located between town and the park, and a wonderful place to relax after a long day of exploring. Wonderful!

We chose Reclusive Moose Cabins, specifically the Glacier View Chalet, for its hot tub and views, after searching for a quaint cabin near Glacier National Park. The downstairs suite was amazing for a romantic stay, which connects directly to the hot tub and indoor clawfoot tub. Although we don’t have kids, I could see the other bedrooms being great for a small family. Instead, we had a few friends join us, which made for a great getaway for them. There are also options for two person cabins, which also looked great.

Although the layout was kinda quirky, we enjoyed our stay. There was a deck outdoors with a view of West Glacier, perfect for a romantic dinner at night. This is perfect for anyone looking for a more luxurious/quaint stay while avoiding any of the National Park lodges. That being said, it is quite a distance to the Going to the Sun Road, however, everyone is different and this was the best choice for the entire region.

The only disappointment was the fact that the kitchen was not equipped with a dishwasher, which can be tough when you have a small army to feed and needed to wash all the dishes.

That being said, we highly recommend Reclusive Moose Cabins, specifically the Glacier View Chalet, for anyone looking for an amazing stay near Glacier National Park.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Bear cabin. The owners have literally thought of everything for a wonderful stay very near the West entrance to Glacier. The cabin is adorable and extremely functional. We have stayed in cabins all over the western US and this is by far the best! We enjoyed using the grill to cook dinner and hang out on our porch after long days of hiking in GNP. The kitchen has all the essentials! The beds are comfy. Book your stay here...you will not regret it! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Yes. They're easy to find. The owners gave terrific directions but they're not on the main road which makes it even better. Close to the park and in a beautiful setting. Very clean.
