We spent our 30th anniversary here 15 years ago and had a horrible experience. Before the days of internet reviews. Thought we would give them another shot. So we decided to spend a couple of days at Valentines. When you pay a premium price you expect a better than average

We stayed in a Pondside Luxury Room. Great room with very large bathroom and king size bed. Nice fireplace with plenty of wood. Only negative is our room had a door which connected to the room next door. We were able to hear conversations of the folks next door. Fortunately they

This hotel was everything we were looking for. It had a cabin like feel with wood burning fireplace and view of a river, walking distance from the rooms patio. The only downside was the firewood they use smells funny. I would stay here again for sure.

Ended up staying here 4 nights which is way longer than I usually stay anywhere, and I usually don't write reviews but because of wedding-related logistics we were in 3 different rooms so I got a good feel for the place. While all rooms were charming there are definitely

I would rent a vehicle. If you're there in the winter make sure it has 4WD.

How long does it take to get to old faithful from this hotel
it's about 45 minutes to the West Yellowstone entrance an another hour or so depending on how frequently you stop. In my opinion, Old Faithful is overrated and over built. in the park, I prefer the northeast portion of the park for beauty and wildlife. Regardless, you'll have a good time.

Are the fireplaces wood burning or gas in the rooms?
The fireplace is a wood burning fireplace and they provide dry, chopped wood for you to use. There is a screen in front of the fireplace for safety and prevent coals from jumping out onto the floor.......

"We have a home in Big Sky so we did not stay overnight there, but everyone who did loved it!"
"Might want to look at the river front rooms. We liked the pond side room, but people were fishing in the pond."
