We travelled to Great Falls from Canada for New Year's Eve, specifically to visit the Sip 'n Dip. We had an amazing time in the lounge of course, with Piano Pat and the mermaids and the midnight nacho bar. We were also pleasantly surprised by the hotel itself. The family suite was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a queen bed and a couch in one room and two single beds in the other, along with a shared bathroom. The set-up worked perfectly for our group of five. I can't wait to take the complimentary rubber duck on some adventures!

Tip: Go for a swim in the pool! It's the same one that the mermaids swim in, so it's nice and warm, and you can dive down to the lounge windows.

I stayed here for the night to check out the mermaids at the Sip n Dip, and had a lovely stay at this gem of an old school motor lodge. We had a queen non smoking room, and it was absolutely immaculate. Could have eaten off the floors. They managed to retain a lot of the 60's charm even with some furniture updates etc. We were enchanted with the original built in ironing board that lit up. Service was super efficient and very friendly - everyone smiled, everyone we encountered seemed like they genuinely wanted you to feel welcome. You just don't run into that so much anymore.
The Sip and Dip did not disappoint for me. I've had craftier cocktails, but the ambiance was great and the Mermaids were amazing. We had breakfast (they offer an included option, which wasn't disclosed on the website when we booked direct, so lovely surprise at check in to get breakfast vouchers). Food was fantastic, and great service again.

This is a hotel built in the 60s, and well maintained by the family, who has tried to keep the ambiance of when it was built, while modernizing the room amenities to some extent. Very comfortable rooms, but be sure to ask for one with a desk in you need one, since they don't all have desks for workspace. The great feature of the Inn is the lounge, which is like a throwback to the Tiki bars of Hawaii in the 60s. It is beautiful. And behind the bar is glass into the pool, where mermaids swim every night. Well worth a visit just to see this. Breakfast is included, and the food is good. Well worth a visit if you are in Great Falls, Montana. I went in July, and will be staying again in August on my way home.

We stay here often while in town for sports with the kids. It’s dated but the rooms are always clean. The food in the restaurant is always great and the bar is a true Montana Gem! If you’re looking for a room on Great Falls make sure to check this place out.

If you want a hilton or Marriott, this is not for you. If you want a personal experience with quiet and personal and clean stay, then this is your place. Service is outstanding...willing to accommodate your needs. Great restaurant and famous bar...with mermaids. It is a throwback to a more relaxed time. Stay here...you won't be disappointed.

Called four times from Glacier National Park, each time hung up on. When I called a fifth time and expressed my frustration and had given my information before a two-hour drive to Great Falls, the reception canceled my reservation because she didn’t appreciate my feedback: which was, don’t hang up on the patron within a few seconds. Please be patient. Her outright cancelation of my reservation—after I asked if she understood where I was coming from with regard to my frustration at being hung up on, and doing so once again—speaks volumes. Travelers take heed.

Cool little old motel, but needs major upgrades. Hallways are narrow and dingy and rooms are lacking electrical outlets near thw beds. Air conditiong is non existent and makes for a hot uncomfortable sleep. Bathrooms are like a sauna with the lack of a quality fan, making drying off impossible without having to leave the bathroom. Mattress' were ok at best. That said, staff was great and accomidating. The tiki lounge is also dated, but thats kinda the point I think. Great happy hour drink specials.

we recently stayed at the O'Haire and were very pleased, it snowed the day we got there so the covered parking was great, the price was super and although the rooms are a bit small they were just fine, the king bed was excellent, the rooms were extremely clean. The service from front desk to housekeeping was great. We ate in the cafe downstairs for breakfast and at the "Sip and Dip" lounge for supper and both were quality and reasonable. We would recommend this place to anyone. It is older but nice, handy to downtown and not that far to the 10th ave strip.

This hotel is very definitely unusual - it has mermaids and an 85 (ish) year old piano player. Nevertheless it was great fun and make such a refreshing change from the usual 'chain' hotels. The location is downtown which is convenient if you want to look for somewhere to eat but we used the Restaurant attached which is very very good. We had a really good evening meal and breakfast in there. The hotel at a guess was in its time a traditional old fashioned motor in where travelling salesman stayed, possibly dating from the 50's or 60's going on the buildng style but this all added to its charm. As for the sip'n'dip lounge well what can I say, never been anywhere like that before. The hotel pool has a glass wall opening onto the bar and in this they have a young lady, with little clothing except a bikini top and 'mermaid tail' swimming around. She's very good too, extremely athletic and a brilliant underwater swimmer. Then came Pat the piano player, I don't know how long she's played in there but has to be some time. It was brilliant I can't remember when we had such a laugh. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, staying here made a really fun interval in a very long trip from Yellowstone to Banff. And - to top it all, you get a little yellow plastic duck to take with you wherever you go, take photos of in iconic places, and upload them to the website. So the little duck is in for some fun photos in the next few months when we take him to Europe.

This hotel is fine, but the real attraction is the bar--the Sip-N-Dip, featuring two young mermaids who spend hours in the pool, which has two windows facing into the bar. The theme is Tiki bar, and to top it off, the music is sensational--Pat has been playing the piano/organ and singing there for over forty years. She's priceless. The drinks aren't huge, but they are very affordable. Stay in the hotel so when you call it quits, you can walk down the hall to your room. There is nothing else like this. And it's in Great Falls, of all places. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The bar is THE reason to go to this hotel. In fact, we drove from Canada just to go to the bar. Not even kidding. From their website: "The legendary Sip 'n Dip Tiki Lounge… Named the #1 bar on earth worth flying for by GQ Magazine!" It's open normal kind of bar hours (I think one night we got there at 6pm, and I know we were there until the wee hours, but the details are hazy, because cocktails). For the extra entertainment: Live piano bar with Piano-Pat Spoonheim, Wednesdays through Fridays starting at around 9:30pm. Mermaid Hours: Tuesday through Thursdays starting at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 9pm
