What a great hotel !! So glad we stayed here - actually didn't want to leave. Starts with easy parking onsite, staff friendly and quick check in, room was large with plenty of space for our suitcases, shower had lots of hot water, love the "Dove" amenities and the thank you note under the door if you're a priority member. The free food at the manager's reception on weeknights is a great touch which we were very thankful for as well as the free warm cookies every night. Yum !! The included breakfast was great and the breakfast area was very clean, the staff working in the breakfast area were on the ball with replenishing food and cleaning up and there was a lot of choice for food at the buffet and everything was fresh. Let's not forget those cinnamon rolls either !!! The hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Definately recommend this hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here before and after our nights in Glacier National Park and I have to say it is one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express Hotels I have stayed at. The decor is very nice and the staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is typical and includes the infamous cinnamon rolls. They also had cookies nightly at 7 pm and had a light dinner on the weeknight we were there, and coffee was always available. The pool and hot tub are very nice, and the pool even has a short lap lane which is nice if children are playing in the pool and someone wants to swim laps. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed having a small balcony, which we don't commonly see at this level of hotel. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. We left our bear spray at the front desk since we could not take it on the plane with us. I highly doubt we were the first to ever do this so it might be worth it to check with them if you are in need of some to take hiking in the park.

This is a fine property in scenic Kalispell, the gateway to far-northwest Montana and Glacier National Park.
It is large, clean, has a helpful if not terribly engaged staff, huge bedrooms and super-cozy beds, large bathrooms with tubs that have two grab bars and a helpful rough texture to deter falls. Monday through Wednesday, the management puts together good gratis food for guests, including tacos, sloppy joes, and the like. Yummy fresh cookies, too, perhaps every night.
Room lighting, however, is a disaster. Every light is bright, bright white, several watts too much so, and the light at the room’s desk was in a clear shade to boot, meaning that the user is staring directly into the bulb. We had to put bath towels over the lamps by the bed and that desk. Who in the world planned such a thing?
The a/c also did not perform when we got there.
It’s a good hotel worth trying, but bring your sunglasses if you turn many lights on.

Best stay we've ever had! The staff was unbelievably nice and helpful! The lobby was fully decked out in Halloween decor! I commented on them when we arrived and they said one of the managers did it! Owner is lucky to have these girls! The breakfast bar was great - Fruit, eggs, yogurt, pancakes, sausage, cereal, coffee - Clean & spread out. Rooms were clean. Fridge, microwave & coffee in rooms. Only negative is the walls are very thin & you can hear everyone walking above you so if light sleeper 3rd floor is best. Lower number rooms put you close to far end door w/stairs. We had room 205 & it was perfect! Location was great - close to shopping and 15/20 mins either direction gets you to Whitefish, Kalispell, Airport/Columbia Falls. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We stayed here one night in transit to Mt Rainier from Glacier National Park. People were friendly. We got a small snack for IHG status. Although Holiday Inn Express is not as generous with bottled water as Hampton Inn, this place made up for it by offering fresh cookies pm and of course only HIE has those to die for cinnamon buns!!

Hotel prices in Kalispell, due to proximity to glacier park, are outrageous. So take the price you pay and divide it by half or 1/3, and that's the value you should expect to get compared to a hotel in a contours location. That being said, this was a pretty decent choice. It's a newer but not extremely new Holiday inn Express, clean and nice enough decor. It looks like a converted motel because of the outside entrances. The location was convenient but totally without personality, in the middle of a shopping complex area. Room was a decent size and the bed and bedding were the usual HIE, good quality. Bathroom was basic and floors didn't seem that clean. Breakfast was definitely above average for a Holiday inn Express, more than I expected. They had some decent bagels, higher end packaged pastries, home fries and a few other things you don't normally see in the brand. Overall, if you are looking for a stay in this area and it fits your budget, it's a pretty good two star hotel

On my final bill, there was a charge for $5 housekeeping gratuity for each day. I always leave cash for housekeeping because they deserve it. It is a hard job. But, the staff never mentioned that a gratuity would be added automatically. Be aware of this. Also, the front staff were barely capable and the general areas were not as clean as in the past. Is this part of the employee shortage?

When we arrived, the front desk was helpful and processed our check-in quickly. They informed us that Tacos were being served in the dining area until 7 at no extra charge. The following evening they served sloppy joes. None of the other Holiday Inn Express hotels have had this. We were impressed! Our queen suite was spacious, clean, and overall, great! I only gave it 4 stars because each night was over $300 a night and we are used to staying at the chain for around $150 or less per night.

My husband and I have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express dozens of times in order to catch 6am flights, thus avoiding deer infested, dark roads. We have always enjoyed our stays. This stay was different. The hotel rate in the past has always been in the $150/night range, the front desk staff have always very welcoming, at 5am there was always a shuttle to the airport and some fresh coffee. So, what did we get for $300/night on this trip……NOTHING. No friendly service, no shuttle and leftover coffee from the previous night. Holiday Inn Kalispell has lost my business.

The staff are always wonderfully caring and always attentive The Hotel grounds are very clean and orderly. The grass and flowers were beautiful. The rooms are clean, the management took care of concern we had. The breakfast is full service with bacon,pancakes, muffins and multiple styles of eggs and omelettes. Awesome all around.

Our shuttle service is provided for airport shuttles to and from the airport. If you are looking to get a ride to Glacier Park I believe the Uber service provided in town will drive you there, or we do have a few different taxi services in town.
The mattresses in room 248 are queen sized and the brand is Beauty Rest, Recharge is the model.
