I had reservations here recently for a multi day stay. I looked in Mom and Pop motels for the recommendations and stay at small hotels to save money in expensive areas especially near a holiday weekend. When we arrived, it was easy to see the motel was in disrepair. Damaged rusty lawn furniture in the common areas and two cars were on blocks being worked on behind the office in the model in the middle of the lot. There were attempts at flowers, but peeling paint was everywhere. The office was cluttered and messy with miscellaneous junk everywhere. There was a dog bone on the coffee table, and the office smelled musty like wet dog. I could see into the interior of the office which was well on its way to becoming a junk haven. My instinct told me to ask to see the room first. The clerk was very polite and kind. In the room, the floor was dirty like it was swept but not washed. The mattress has dirt on the side, and the bedding was dingy. The bathroom light didn’t even work. I politely declined the room and checked in elsewhere. The clerk was very gracious throughout the process, and for that I didn’t give the lowest rating.

I had stayed here 6 yrs ago otherwise I may not have this time around. They've fallen behind on keeping the place up. Needs some improvements and updates.
I just thought if some older cabins I've stayed in. Older furniture, TV, dooes etc. Slept fine. No bugs. Saved me a bit of cash.
Nice group of staff who had been there for years.

Well first off, this motel will not be for everyone, but if you are on a tight budget and want a comfortable, clean place to put your head down, this is the place!! My husband & I stayed here for the 2 nights that we were down in Kalispell doing a bit of shopping.

From the reviews that I had read I thought why not give it a try, as the price was right with us, we payed $117 all total for the 2 nights we were there (Sept 19-21st).

Now you have to keep in mind this hotel is a wee bit dated to say the least and is NOTHING like the more modern chain motel/hotels that most of us are accustomed to now a days!! They have "themed" rooms here and we were lucky enough to get to stay in the "horse" room (#309)!! Right down to a mechanical horse right there in the room...I kid you NOT!!

Now this room was lacking in a few of the basic amenities that most places offer today such as shampoo/conditioner/hair dryer/microwave/fridge etc.....now I do believe that from reading other reviews there are rooms at this establishment that DO have fridge & microwaves in them, but ours was not one of them......but it was not really a big deal for us on this stay.

The other thing I thought was very unusual about this room that was a very basic fixture to have in any motel room was somewhere to hang your clothes!! That's right, we had no where to hang anything up, no open closet type thing with hangers, nothing....but again, didn't make or break our stay there, just thought it was odd!!

Now the location was EXCELLENT seemed as though we were right square in the middle of where we needed to be.......it is a very short drive, maybe 5-7mins from tones of shopping and about 20 mins to the west entrance to Glacier National Park......the outside of this place is not the greatest but again, didn't bother us in the least, we've seen much worse in our travels!!

Our room was so incredibly clean, cleaner than I have seen in some bigger chain hotels and higher star ratings!! Bed was so comfortable, I couldn't wait to go to sleep at night, pillows were nice and fluffy, all the bedding was fresh & clean. No stains on the carpeting, nothing seem to be in disrepair, room was nice and quiet, although you could here the upper level rooms if they were really heavy on their feet. Air conditioner worked great but was extremely loud!!

They do have free WiFi, but fair warning, it is the pits!! It was so slow it was like being on dial up...the only time I could really get it to do anything was if I was sitting right in the main lobby!! They did offer a continental breakfast, but we chose to go to Finnegan's which was right next door (open 24hr), breakfast was good, but portion wise not the best.

We will be back to stay here on our next trip to Kalispell, as we did NOT have an unpleasant experience here.......

Where do I start? Let's put it this way. You could not pay me $50 a night to stay at this dump again. I was on my way to Glacier Nat Park and stayed her to visit friends in Kalispell. After a total of 3 days I don't think motels will ever be enjoyable places to relax for me again. I saw a spider the size of a silver dollar strut across my bed last night and that's not even close to being the worst this place has to offer.
Wanted to do some laundry. The one washing machine cost $2 a load and kinda made some noise and ran for maybe 20 minutes. I then paid $2 for a 45 minute dry that left me with a load of wet cloths. Went to the lobby to get more quarters and was told they didn't have any??? Went to the store got more quarters and proceeded to try another 45 minute dry. This was a small load folks and after all this they still were not dry.
They had no WIFI even though they advertise it as a feature. They have no LCD TV's. Still using tube tv's from last century. They are located right on Hwy 2 and it's noisy so I closed they window and turned on the AC. It didn't work either!
I could go on but it's not worth the time. This place is just plain disgusting and please don't try to tell me it's a bargain because this kind of dump would be a let down for a homeless person. Period! End of story.

This hotel was the worst one we stayed in on our trip to Montana. If it hadn't have been pouring down rain we wouldn't have stayed. It looks ok from outside, but open the door and it's 1970!
Red shag, sway backed beds, and antique heaters. ICK!

I'm honestly shocked at all the bad reviews i'm seeing on here. Not really sure why people expect luxury at a bargain price. This room and property were actually way better than i expected based off these accounts. The price was low and it was clean. It didn't have that nasty smell that some of the lower end motels have which was a huge bonus for me. No old smoke smell either. There is wifi but you had to be close to the office to use it when we were there. Some of the rooms have themes which I thought was an extremely fun and creative idea. We chose the Al Capone room! They also have a card in the room asking your opinion about cleanliness, etc....which showed me that they take some pride in this property. Is this place perfect? No. Is it a great deal for the price point? Yes. Quiet, clean and I got what i needed out of it which was a great night sleep.

OMG. Had the Elvis room across from the pool. Smelled like SEWER GAS. Nothing quaint or charming about sewer gas. I finally gave up about midnight and went out to my car and slept. Woke up feeling pretty awful, took an extremely fast shower and split as fast as I could. Elvis clutter in the room had 30 years of dust but that was a small issue compared to the smell. Didn't bother to try and get my money back because the attitude in the office was not friendly. I lived in Montana for 25 years and I know rustic/quaint. This is not it. Paid $98.30 for a shower, toilet and a sore back.

Didn't have plans to stay anywhere, and passed this motel that said accepts Canadian currency at par so thought I would give it a try. At first glance when the room was dimly lit it looked clean, so I sat down and the bed and started reading through emails. An hour later I decided to go to sleep, well when I pulled back the covers there where bed bugs! I packed up and went to the front desk, and the night shift lady refunded my money, and said welcome to Montana. According to her everywhere has bed bugs, and it's not a big deal. Well it is a big deal to me, never ever going back!

The motel staff is very friendly and the room was inexpensive compared to others in the area. However, the carpet was torn, the room was only mostly clean, and the breakfast was not good. The pool was beautiful but we did not go in because the people in it did not appear to be clean.

We've stayed in a $200/nt B&B in Whitefish, $100/nt very nice Grand Hotel & now the $43/nt Blue & White. Ask for a renovated room without carpet...newly done laminated floors & it'll be clean & odorless. Being allergic to odors, I had to put the room deodorizer outside.
We stayed in the bear room & I liked all the teddy bears. Since my home is Zen, it's fun to spend a night with the whimsical
Decor. I understand from my contractor neighbor that the "fish" room is also updated.
Room & bedding were clean. I bring my own soap (motel has tiny bars but they do give plenty) & shower cap.
The people seen are not homeless as one person wrote. They are working people who live out of town & need a closer place to bed down when they are on a job site.
It's good value & we will return since we need a place to stay when we come into town for our monthly shopping trips.
WiFi does not work for Apple computers. We were told they r looking for a new provider.
