We stayed at this resort twice this Summer ~ June and July ~ in cabins 1 and 5. Cabins are quite rustic but provide everything you need. Fridge in cabin 1 was very small (cabin 5 had 2 fridges) ~ kitchens were very small for cooking but do-able. We ate outside every night so inside table size didn't matter but it was also quite small. Cabins each have picnic tables, fire pits and bbqs (some of them are kinda crappy, others are newer) and we made good use of these amenities! Beds were small, but relatively comfortable. Upstairs is loft style and got quite hot in the evenings but this isn't the Hilton so we weren't surprised that there was no AC ;)

Store has limited selection but definitely great if you need something in a pinch. Snacks, food, booze. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ate at the restaurant one night, it was typical pub style food, no complaints there.

We rented a boat slip as well. Very reasonably priced. Launch is very long and steep but easy in and out. Water is clean, beach looked nice from what we could tell although we didn't use it. The lake itself is very narrow but has a couple of neat little inlets were we would go and swim.

My only real complaint is that you are very disconnected from the "real world" ~ there is absolutely no cell service or wifi. I do understand that this is part of the appeal for some but I strongly believe that having wifi (even just at the main resort for a fee) would be an attractive feature. I run a business so it was hard for me to be without services. Libby was the closest cell service.

Overall, great stay and we have recommended to others.

We stayed in a cabin during the month of August that split down the middle and shared, There is a door connecting if you happen to know the other people but otherwise it stays locked. Very rustic and not a lot of room for a family of 4 on the main floor. We had the bunk beds downstairs but the people on the other side a pull out futon. I would recommend this as my kids didn't like sleeping downstairs by themselves. There are two full beds upstairs with lots of room in the middle. The kitchen area is small and we could not all eat at the table. The weather was great so this did not present a problem; there are fire pits, picnic tables and a deck outside the cabin. The water is very clean at the beach but not a lot of beach area and the water is controlled by a damn. The water does drop off quite suddenly so I recommend life jackets for the young ones. This is a great place if you have a boat, or rent a boat (lots of fishing I heard). The nearest town for shopping is Libby (check out the sporting store! lots of everything!). There is no cell service or Wi-Fi available. You can drive in Mcdonalds in Libby if you need it. We took our family here to get away from this and visit friends that were also staying here. A great little place overall.

It was $88/night and had 2 beds, a bunk bed and a couch that made into a bed. The downside was the distance to the water and how hot the place was at night. There was only 1 small window to open upstairs and a couple of fans. The window downstairs didn't have a screen in the cabin I stayed in. Also beware they require 30 day cancellation for a refund.

We loved the RV park and marina. The staff was also excellent++.
The place is clean and well maintained. Pricing for RV space and pontoon rentals was very reasonable as was the bar and restaurant that serves good variety and quality food. We highly recommend the business and will definitely be go there next year.

Regrettably disappointed! I wanted to like the restraunt but can’t. First visit was Father’s Day for the prime rib special. Overcooked and not enough wait staff so poor service. Gave it another chance on 8/7. Waited patiently for food for one hour. There was only one waitress who was sincerely trying and a senior lady who did some bussing. When our food finally came up and he waitress was concentrating on serving ice cream and our food sat there for 10 minutes. The food was of good quality. The owner needs to realize more wait staff is needed. Nice people, beautiful setting but we won’t go back!

This was a great place to stay and camp. Randy the owner was fantastic and found us a great place to camp.
His staff are also amazing, can't remember the young girls name that is in the store, but she is simply a sweetheart, she looked after all of our needs and we even met her kids, they are so lucky to have her helping out.
Seems like all of the family are involved and extremely nice, we even rented a pontoon boat and we had a great time on the water.
Will defiantly stay here again.
Thanks for a great week.

Be aware of poor customer service at Koocanusa Resort & Marina Campground. We came to check the campground, paid $20.00 fees in cash for the tent site but with the note that we would like to check the site first. We didn't receive any receipt. After 10 mins we went back to the office inquiring if we can cancel the booking for that night as the site wasn't what we expected. (dusty, with old table...). At the office we experience very rude / disturbing customer service from one of the male staff, where the man pointed on the sign ‘no refunds’ without saying a word and left. When we ask another staff to talk about it, the same man run back to the office towards us with an anger, yelling at us to leave the property immediately. He made us to leave the office and continued yelling outside of the office in front of other people. He did not give us any chance for explanation. We and our kids were very disturbed by his approach and didn’t feel safe so we left the property without refund.

While we really enjoyed fishing on beautiful Lake Koocanusa, we think some basics are missing. We love rustic, don't need much, but you do need screens on the windows, you need a dish drainer and a dish rag. How about 4 instead of 3 plates. The deck is ready to fall down, and the chairs around the campfire have big holes and are cracked. The toilet nearly tipped over every time you sat on it....and the electrical cord above the sink that was threaded through the hole where the sprayer should go, right next to where you turn on the cold water was electrically special. Risk of electrocution every time you use the water. Outside chairs were filthy, Camp map is incorrect. C'mon guys.....we love this place. Can you give it a little TLC???

Have had many fun days up on the lake this summer. Just moved to Libby this year and am happy that there are places like this here. Took the family on a boat rented from the Marina. Beautiful pontoon almost brand new. They have cabins to rent or campgrounds if you prefer the roughing it style. Recommend this place to my friends.

My favourite destination in Montana.
Can’t say one bad thing!!
Well worth finding and enjoying!
The office accommodates a mildly stocked store that most likely has anything you may have forgotten.
The Bar/restaurant also attached to the office is an amazing alternative to cooking yourself after a long day on the beach or boat. The drinks are perfectly chilled!!
Full service to simple tent camp sites are very often booked in advance but if you’ve saved your preference you’ll most likely fall in love with what you find here.
It’s much different than anywhere else I’ve experienced and once you figure it out you’ll most likely love it too!
