My partner and I felt obliged to write a review primarily due to the bizarre review given by "Congie66" who obviously has personal issues. Our hostess was warm, gracious and a fantastic breakfast cook who treated us to farm fresh egg omelettes and yummy breakfast cakes and breads. Thanks again for a great stay!

Alas, if I had only checked tripadvisor reviews before booking here in June 2016. Just the rude hostess would have been enough. But as Michael, Giller and others have pointed out - you have to do your own cleaning, there are 4 dogs around the property, the owner lives right next door to the b&b and she is VERY invasive....

My family and I stayed here for about a month. The house was very dirty.. Dogs would bark at all times of the day and night... found condom and wrapper's in the downstairs bedroom.. No Hot Tub...smoke alarms did not work (bought one to keep kids safe) Everything in this house is from the 80's so when something wears out...

I have read the other reviews so something must have changed in the 4 years since the last one. We needed a house for a large group and this seemed to be the only one in the area. The house needs repair desperately. The refrigerator leaked, the doors were broken, and most importantly it was dirty. It has bright red...

We stopped here on our way to Glacier National Park. We had the place to ourselves. Our host was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us in Missoula. The breakfast he prepared was outstanding.

To start with I am a Floridian and we rarely have the opportunity to experience such wonder and beauty that this place has to offer. We have gorgeous beaches and scenery in our state but nothing compared to the awesome mountains of Montana. The cabin is surrounded by big beautiful mountains, entertaining horses and just a peaceful scerene environment. The...

We arrived on July 29th and it was a bit difficult to find but they had a wedding prior to us and somebody turned the sign around. The Hostess was extremely pleasant and very helpful when it came to finding things to do. I called and asked for a couple of items and every time I requested something she came...

The Cougar Ranch is a beautiful hideaway just north of Missoula, Montana. Tucked into a secluded mountain meadow, it is our favorite rest stop whenever we are in that area. In fact, we have been coming to the Cougar Ranch at least once each year for the past four or five years. We have always found the accommodations to be...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This custom home located on Cougar Ranch was designed with floor to ceiling windows all around to take advantage of the great mountain views, including the Mission peaks which tower above this small valley -- Montana's answer to the Teton Mountains! Guests will feel connected to nature as they watch wildlife and the many colors of the mountains. Soaking in the hot tub at night lets you discover more stars than you thought existed. Cougar Ranch is a great hub for many outdoor recreational activities: fishing several blue ribbon streams, trying golf courses, enjoying Flathead Lake, discovering Glacier Park and the National Bison Range, ghost towns. About 20 minutes away is the city of Missoula, one of the richest Montana communities in terms of cultural happenings. The Missoula airport is 10 minutes from the ranch. ... more   less
