The service is great, the views are amazing, and it is conveniently located! We stayed in the Casino Suite. We spent a lot of time on the large balcony, which is in the shade of the north side of the building, it is lovely! The master bathroom has a jetted tub and an amazing two person shower with lots of shower heads in the wall.
The two sofas in the living room are very saggy and not very comfortable to spend a lot of time on.
Due to Covid there is no cleaning service, and you can get new towels every other days, but in the mean time, there are no towel racks or hooks to hang damp towels. The kitchen has a tiny garage, which you can have emptied every other day, but it is not near enough. Thankfully we had shopping bags we could use for garbage.
There is a nice size pool and hot tub. And there is beautiful outside dining under a large tent over-looking the lake.
We did not play in the casino, so can’t talk to that.
Although masks are required in the the building, not all staff were wearing theirs.

First the location is great. Right on Flathead Lake. There's a boat rental company on the edge of the resort that has a selection of boats to rent. The only restaurant is in the bar and I didn't eat there (Try Betty's Diner which is a short walk away for breakfast and lunch.) In A three day stay the Resort never cleaned the room, which was a drag.

The hotel is a bit worn out. The room was clean and the bathroom and shower were very good. Ask for an upper floor room, though. The ceiling is very thin and you can hear people walking on the top floor at all hours. The hotel has a great pier overlooking the beautiful flathead lake. There is also an indoor heated pool and hot tub, pretty good!

The front desk staff were caring, friendly and authentic. They easily took care of a room upgrade when our space wasn't enough for our group. The follow up care was attentive when we had some special requests. They even recommended we use the covered parking when snow was in the forecast. Our view of the lake and the mountains were breathtaking. The restaurant/bar was kid friendly and had good food. The Indian Fry Bread Taco is delicious. The facility is well put together with just enough amenities including small gym, pool, hot tub and sauna. I will be staying again.

This place used to be nice but it’s definitely not anymore! The smell of casino hits you immediately when walking in, front desk staff is surly, and our room keys didn’t work- we met two other parties in the hall who said the same thing. I left my elderly mother with the bags in the hall and went back to the front desk, where the receptionist said “K” and programmed new keys. In the room the bathroom is large but only one bar of soap, and a weird layout - the door covers an unnecessary sitting/makeup area when it’s open. And my biggest pet peeve, no bathroom fan so with the incredibly poor insulation one can hear the bathroom noises from out in the hall. The walk-in shower and rainfall shower head are nice ideas, but one must stand directly beneath the head to turn on the shower, getting a nice dousing of cold water before you can jump out of the way.
Carpet in the room is filthy with visible stains, refrigerator works and the small balcony is nice but is protected from the room by a heavy outside door with a loose knob and super old, corroded lock, and when the door is open it hits the corner of the bed, cutting off access. Two small windows other than that. Bedding seems clean.

We had a family wedding in the town of Polson and planned to stay at the "best hotel in town." The setting was beautiful and the balcony view of the hotel room was incredible, however, that is where the compliments will end.
We walked into the hotel and the stale cigarette smell from the casino was so bad that I wanted to turn around and leave. Thankfully our room was in another wing from the hotel, so the smell was not in our room.
There is no elevator in the lobby, so you have to pack your suitcase down a full flight of stairs to go to your room. Then wonder a good distance to an elevator to go back up a floor to get to your 2nd floor room.
The room decor is plain and strange. Not one picture on the bathroom wall. Such a strange mix of gray, brown, white, cream...weird and stark.
There is a beautiful center outdoor fire pit and gathering place. The restaurant is there so there are some strange rules with using this area. The doors are locked in and out of this outdoor area make it almost impossible to come and go. Even your key wouldn't allow access. Only one server for the entire restaurant and it was extremely slow. The first morning our family ordered coffee and it never got delivered.
The mask wearing policy was tight coming in the hotel and our temp was even taken. No problem. For being so strict with this, it was strange that literally EVERY disinfectant dispenser was empty the entire 2 nights we were there.
My family are gamblers and only visited the casino one time. They said there was a poor variety of machines, that it was divided up strange, and it was very small.
We paid almost $200 a night and NEVER again. Don't pay the extra to stay here and stay at the new Red Lion. We had family stay there and it was much better.

I booked two rooms, we were all so excited to stay on the lake. When I checked in the lady at the front desk was not friendly which wasn’t a good first impression. We were hungry so we went down to their bar/restraunt where we sat for 45 minutes and not one person acknowledged us. We finally flagged a waiter down who was rude and said they were two hours behind and walked off . We left irritated and figured out something different for dinner. Later that evening we went down to the bar area again and tried to get a drink . Immediately when we walked in the same waiter that was rude was sitting at the bar visiting and told us to go get in line. There wasn’t a line but we moved to where he told us. The bartender asked what we wanted and right when we started telling him a waitress came and cut us off and said the bar was closed?! They had another 1/2 hour until they were supposed to close. At this point we were fed up and told them they really need to get it together and left. The room was okay however I booked one room with a balcony and neither room had a balcony. Terrible, rude staff… never again!!!

Driving into Polson is jaw dropping beautiful. I had the opportunity to stay at KwaTaqNuk with a lake view room. My room was roomy and clean with a small porch that looked out to the lake. Bed comfortable. Flathead lake is gorgeous and is surrounded by the mountains. It is a place that is quiet and allows a beautiful environment self reflection. Service was wonderful. Food, both dinner and breakfast excellent. Yes, the place needs a little updating, but lets remember we are barely on the other side of COVID. Change comes with time. I was sorry I only stayed one night. I would have really enjoyed spending more time at this resort and the city of Polson.

I stayed at this hotel for work and have to say I really enjoyed looking out of the window and seeing the lake. I enjoyed having the little sitting area outside of my room to really take in the views. It is so peaceful there that it was really hard to leave.

The beds are comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower was so nice! Best of all, Candy at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She is a treasure! The lake view was lovely. We had prime rib at the restaurant, it was delicious and served to us in a timely manner.

Hi Krista! Thanks for writing to us with your question. While everybody is different in where they feel the water temperature is comfortable, generally most people are comfortable swimming in Flathead lake in July and even more so in August. We do not have a boat rental on site but there are 2 of them nearby that we can recommend.
There are more places to choose from in the Polson area.
