This campground resort is perfectly located for quick and easy access to Glacier National Park. Panoramic views from your campsite provide backdrops of towering glacial carved valleys and peaks. Those in the "know" will tell you the best hiking and sightseeing are on the east side so grab lunch at the KOA store, and board a Glacier tour bus at the campground entrance or hit the trails to the remote backcountry. If you want to give your dog a day off while you explore, your hosts offer pet sitting. Put your feet up and enjoy this relaxing resort atmosphere while you hone your putting skills, play bocce or enjoy the new swimming pool and hot tub complex. Rent a kayak or SUP and explore the wilderness of Lower St. Mary Lake and River. The AOK Grill serves up breakfast, dinner, and homemade pizza daily from mid-June to September.

I can’t say enough positive about our time at this campground. We were a family of 12, one trailer, 4 tents and one cabin They went above and beyond to get us as close together as possible with a very full camp. Everyone had a ball. Hot tub was a great addition after hiking. Bike lending, laundry, firewood and ice delivery were greatly appreciated. Bathrooms clean and good water pressure, could use hooks for personal belongings in bathroom by pool. Great store with reasonable prices. Great staff. Beautiful views from the campground. Easy access to GNP, including Red Bus tours picking up at office. Highly recommend.

We stayed here 3 nights in early July while exploring Glacier National Park. We appreciated the location of the scenic campground, the store, ice cream and coffee, and the walking nature trails.

Being brought in and shown our site we were disappointed, it was pretty muddy. We had a rooftop tent on our vehicle so at least we weren’t right on the ground, but looking around there were plenty of not filled sites that were grassy and much nicer. Seems when staying three nights this could have been considered. Having a restroom nearer to our campsite other than having to walk to the main building was nice, but it was loud, busy and not real clean with all the pool activity in and out, so we made the walk most of the time anyhow.

When we checked in we were shown trash areas but the two circled as closest to our spot were not even there so again we walked to the main building each evening to dispose of our trash… not terribly convenient. Having the horseshoes and corn hole was nice, and having a pool also nice, but hours were not kept as posted and it got loud at night and always appeared to be over capacity, especially the hot tub.

Great facilities and wonderful amenities in the laundry, store, playground, WiFi but service was off and on unless we were near the main building and had to be completely signed into each time we were bumped off.

This was our second stop en route to Yellowstone National Park. We went this way so that we could see Glacier National Park and do the "Going to the Sun Road", but quickly learnt that you need reservations for that... so we'll have to tackle that next time.

We have always wanted to try a KOA. Our first choice was West Glacier, but they were sold out, so we went with St. Mary. It was excellent, but I'm just not sure it's worth the price if you're just a bunch of adults who are passing through for one night. If you're going to be there a few days, absolutely. If you have kids and want them to feel entertained, this is worth it. Great amenities like laundry, playgrounds, a pool, an excellent store that has everything, awesome staff that drive you to your site, views for days. I just think that for us, making a one night stop here, it was too expensive at almost $140USD (and we are Canadian, so that's not a favourable conversion).

Can't say enough good things about the place, it is kept up beautifully and we went for several walks taking in the scenery and felt completely safe. Excellent coffee for the drive in the morning in their shop, and great souvenirs, including free beer koozies at the front desk. Wifi was not terrible, either!

Thanks for a great stay, hope to make it a longer one next time!

My son and I were in the hot tub and some pool for about 1.5-2 hours at most. When done, my favorite black shirt is now light brown, chemical burns on my son and my legs (disabled us on our trip), other clothes got discolored. My son and I told a worker on a golf cart about a skunk, joked about it, we got up about 2-230 PM to go to the public bathrooms but was trapped in the camping cabin with no bathroom due to 3-4 more skunks running around and living under our cabin. I can send you photos and prove based on the service and battery charged phones we had. We stayed with you on Thursday, July 13 to July 14 of 2023. I have been staying with you all for years and spent 100s and 1000s of dollars and this is just irresponsible hurting people like this and their health. I can take photos of the other clothing too.

The biggest draw is the location of the park, which is about 5 min from the St Mary entrance to Glacier and 20 min to Many Glaciers. In terms of the park its-self, it was completely passable. Wish it was a little better maintained with mowed lawns and such, however the wifi was great. Great views of the surrounding mountains are also visible from the park

Room Tip: Remember bear spray if you’re tent camping as some sites are in heavily wooded areas!

East Glacier KOA is the 76th stop for us and we stayed 6 nights. The picture says it all as you are surrounded by majestic beauty. Just minutes to the east gate of Glacier National Park and a short 20 minute drive to Many Glaciers. The basic site we were in was a decent gravel site which was basically level pulling into it. The office and grounds staff were friendly and the store was stocked with some food and camping/hiking supplies and souvenirs – ice cream was very good. The showers were rustic but nicely maintained but the bonus was the shower massage head which was good after a hike. The dog park was a good size but needed to be mowed but we are here early in the season and understand some things are a work in progress. Regarding the tribal dispute, the KOA kept us informed with email and mailings and had no issues at all. All in all, a very solid KOA, would rate a 4.3 and definitely stay here again in the future. In terms of connectivity, some of the best campground WiFi we have experienced, even when the park was more full. WiFi 26.1 down/6.4 up; T-Mobile no service…again; Verizon 14.1 down/9.0 up. Finally, a bonus – saw a wolf and moose on the road to the rv park.

Great location. Gorgeous mountain vistas. Super helpful staff. Nice store. Clean, well maintained bathrooms. The dog park was the nucest I have ever seen, with grass that is watered every afternoon.

Pool was very cold and more working umbrellas needed. Half of the washing machines were out of order. The dog park, which is amazing, has a big hole needing repair for safery.

We had to pay $72,- for a tent site with no service at all.
Yes, the bathrooms were good but not luxurious.
A day later we payed 35 CAN$ for a comparable tent site in Waterton Lake.
Why is KOA so ridiculous expensive?

We stayed in the Big Sky Lodge and it is perfect. Everything is provided from paper towels to wine glasses. Very clean. Comfortable beds. 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Beautiful views. Whether you are starting your day with a cup of coffee on the porch and watching the sun come up or relaxing after a day of hiking and watching the sunset with a glass of wine, this cabin couldn’t be better. I would definitely stay here again.

The views were beautiful and the service was friendly. We stayed in our RV with full hookups. The facilities were clean and nice. We did find out the hard way that some of the coin laundry machines didn’t work well after washing clothes that came out still dirty. We were also bummed that the pool, hot tub, and cantina were not open during our stay in early to mid June. The prices should have reflected the unavailability of amenities - it wasn’t cheap.

Are you referring to electrical outlets? If so, am pretty sure they have them. And where the cabins are positioned, you have an awesome view of the mountains.

Road to the sun was closed when we were there. Please keep in mind that you are visiting in July where forest fires can be quite bad esp in waterton areas. I live in Calgary so I am partial to banff and the many places to see/things to do:Johnston Canyon hike, Lake Louise, Lake Minnewanka. You are one with nature yet there is enough civilization around and its not too isolated. I would stay longer in Banff and Jasper than Glacier. Enjoy your vacation either way!!!!
