We loved, loved, loved this place. Of course, we love this style of house and it has been beautifully restored. It was extremely clean & I am hard to please. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom, which was small yet adequate, but nice to not have to take our luggage up the stairs. The common area is very cozy and...

Rhonda and Chris really, really care about making the experience unforgettable. My wife was chilled after hiking in the rain so Chris built a fire a 10pm and served tea and more. The food is out of a Ritz advertisement ... But then both Rhonda and Chris are trained Chefs ... in the French tradition. From the coffee in the...

It is hard to add much to the previous reviews other than to say that they are correct. This was one of the best B&B experiences that we have had traveling all around the world. Chris and Rhonda 'get it' when it comes to running a B&B. The service was extraordinary. It began with Chris lugging our overweight suitcases upstairs....

From the outside of the Inn when driving up I was a little concerned because the Inn appeared to be very small and I couldn't imagine how it functioned as a B&B. I was mistaken as once we entered there was a nice sized living room/parlor and around the corner a nice sized breakfast room followed by the kitchen. This...

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn very much. Rhonda and Chris were so helpful with everything from directions and sightseeing suggestions to unloading the car and preparing wonderful breakfasts and afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine. It was only a couple of blocks to downtown restaurants and shopping. The rooms were immaculate, and there were such nice touches as coffee...

The reviews about this B&B are all spot on. Room was immaculate, and the home is very comfortable and wonderfully maintained. We were greeted by Kendra, who could not have been nicer or more accommodating. She had a nice fire going in the fireplace and we enjoyed sitting by it so much that I think my husband forgot there was...

We spent 3 nights here before traveling on to Many Glacier hotel in Glacier NP. We were 2 blocks from downtown Whitefish. Easy access to major roads to Glacier. The breakfasts were a delight! I used the bear claw bathtub for two of the nights after hiked. Chris was a pro with dinner reservations and he even took umbrellas to...

After spending a few nights in Yellowstone National Park and then on the east side of Glacier National Park at Many Glacier Hotel, we were happy to get back to a small, quiet, and lovely B&B in a cute little town on the west side of GNP. The innkeepers, Chris and Rhonda, were very hospitable and provided great professional service. Chris...

I spent two nights there. The hospitality of the hosts cannot be beat. The breakfasts are to die for. Reservations for dinner both nights were handled by Chris and they were excellent choices. If you are ever in Whitefish, you need to stay at the Garden Wall Inn.

From the moment Chris greeted us at our car (to carry in our luggage) to our farewell after breakfast, we were treated like royalty! Chris and Rhonda have paid attention to every detail from the coffee service with a fresh rose arriving at our door a half hour before breakfast to the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. They have thought...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The award-winning Garden Wall Inn has been catering to discerning travelers since 1987. The impeccably restored 1920’s inn offers five luxurious guestrooms, each furnished with period antiques. Scrumptious three-course breakfasts are prepared by chef/owners Rhonda Fitzgerald and Chris Schustrom. The Inn is a convenient one-block walk from downtown Whitefish’s excellent restaurants, shops and nightspots. Only 25 minutes from Glacier National Park, the Inn is the perfect base for exploring the Park. The Inn is built in the "Colonial Revival" style with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. The interior is accented by original solid maple flooring, arts-and-crafts fir moldings, and beveled-glass french doors. The guestrooms’ private baths boast huge claw-foot tubs, pedestal sinks, and black-and-white art-deco tile. Oriental carpets and fine antique furniture complement the lovely rooms. ... more   less
