Detailed Reviews
Fabulous hotel due to location and amenities. It was about a 25 minute drive from Glacier National and only a mile walk into Whitefish town.
Comfortable beds and pillows and the AC in the room is great.
The Whitefish town has plenty of good restaurants and Montana Coffee Traders has the best coffee.
Love that the hotel has breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 and if you are getting up early to hike or otherwise, you can request a To Go breakfast for the next morning.
They also have an ice machine and coffee, tea, and water in he lobby 24/7
The pool and hot tub are a nice addition especially for soaking in after a day of hiking.
The hotel offers free shuttles into town on the hour as well as shuttles to and from the airport.
And the icing on the cake was the free laundry and laundry detergent at the hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
We booked two nights at this property and it deserves the highest reviews. Beautiful decor, excellent free breakfast with unique entrees, clean and comfortable accommodations, free cookies/popcorn, free self serve laundry facilities, and plenty of free parking. I wish there were better dining options closer to the hotel as it sits south of downtown area but they do offer a free shuttle to downtown hourly. Whitefish is spendy, but this hotel is moderately priced in comparison to others. And our dog was welcomed with some treats too!

The Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge has good parking and check in was easy. We arrived at check in time and the hotel still had free cookies available at the front desk. The room was clean and spacious enough. The breakfast was better than many hotel breakfasts and had hot eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, waffles, etc.
This hotel is located about 40 minutes from the Apgar Visitor Center to Glacier National Park, which is entered by turning left once you hit West Glacier. The Going to the Sun Road can be accessed after you reach this entrance but does require each car to have a $2.00 vehicle between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., which can be purchased ahead of time or a limited number of passes are available online starting at 8 a.m. and ending around 8:05 a.m. for the day after (good for 3 days total if you can get one). You can access the Going to the Sun road for free after 4 p.m. but it closes at 10 p.m. You will also need a park pass, which for a car is $35.00. If you don't have a reservation for the Going to the Sun road, you can drive to Two Medicine, which has nice hikes.
The hot tube heater was broken and it took a couple of days for the part to arrive and get it fixed (but it did get fixed). If you are staying multiple nights and want maid service and fresh towels for your room, you need to request it the day before and do so by 1 p.m.
On the plus side, there were two washers and dryers available for guests to use at no charge. The laundry room on our floor closed at 10 p.m.
The only real downside was the remote control for the television. The TV was good but the remote was terrible and the remotes should be replaced with better ones.

This Best Western was not at all what the photos, description, and some reviews described. It was dirty everywhere, run down, beat up, and in disrepair. Positives were Randi (weekend lobby desk person) she was friendly and helpful. Cameron, a great young man who cleaned rooms and drove the courtesy bus. Pleasant, polite, and caring - a very good person. Negative, Jeff (2nd shift lobby desk person). Unfriendly, unhelpful, would not look at anyone directly, gave the same rehearsed speech to any of the typical tourist questions. When I went to check out he asked, "Did you enjoy your stay?" I responded, "The room was ok." I took a long pause and then said, "Everything else was not up to my expectations." He said "I'm sorry" and remained sitting staring at his computer screen. He would not engage directly with me. A good employee, a good hotel, would have trained Jeff to say something like this, "I'm so sorry Mr. (my name), how can we make it right?" Instead nothing. Jeff is not helping all of you at Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. One day, after returning from Glacier National Park, it was about 2pm or so, I went into the shower in our room (room 340). About 5 - 10sec into my shower the water began to dribble and went ice cold. I got out and got dressed and headed down to the lobby to report the problem. On the third floor there was a group of 3 employees and a plumber, in a utility room. Apparently some piping on the 2nd floor failed and was leaking into a guests room. For whatever reason repairs were done on the 3rd floor. I spoke with the plumber. He was great, competent and knew his work. I went back to our room and waited. About 30min later I left and walked down the hall to see how the work was going. The hallway was filled with what smelled like natural gas, it was thick. The plumber told me the water heater was lighting up and the draft in the hallway was pulling exhaust gas into the hall. He shut the door to the utility room and kept working. I went down to the lobby and a new young lady was there. She did not know about any of this and was completely unconcerned. No apology offered, no refund for the day, nothing. We will never go back here and I hope anyone else in the public who reads this review stays far away from your hotel.

This hotel is an excellent option for those planning a Whitefish Mountain ski trip. The SNOW Bus runs from 7am - 10pm every day and stops right outside the hotel on Baker Ave. Wear all of your gear, walk 50' to the bus stop, get off the bus at the Base Lodge, walk 100' to the stairs, stop at Level 2 to get your lift tickets, walk another 50' up to the lift; easy for all ages. The RML front desk accommodates AMTRAK travelers with pickup/drop-off at the Whitefish train station. For those coming from the east and assuming on-time schedules, the train arrives about 10pm and leaves on departure day at about 7:15am. For those coming from the west, reverse the times above. Point is, BW RML and Whitefish cater to the skiing community; take advantage of this and have a relaxing and enjoyable ski vacation!

Clean, quiet, comfortable, and a great night's sleep. We were in town ahead of morning surgery and were thankful to find that our request for a top-floor, quiet room was able to be honored. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best that I have seen in a LONG time. It is clear that the owners are putting the guests' comfort ahead of their profit margin here, which matters a great deal. I have stayed in fancier brands with lame breakfasts so this really stood out for me. WHile I hope that we do not need to stay again, this would be our choice without question.

This is a nice Best Western to stay at in Whitefish, MT. Check in was quick, friendly, and even had cookies for us and dog treats for our dog. Had a pet agreement to sign describing the pet rules which was great! They also have a designated pet area with disposal bags right there which is also great. However, there is also a $20 pet pet pet fee which was a bummer. Many hotels (some Best Westerns as well) are not charging an additional pet fee which is really nice for those of us who need to travel with a pet! It makes an impact on my decision if a hotel lets pets stay free!
The breakfast was normal Best Western breakfast with plenty of hot items, yogurt, coffee, hot water. Wish there was more fruit options than apples.
Overall, a nice stay for the 1 night we stayed. Clean, friendly, comfortable.

That hotel in Whitefish is the best we have stayed ever! The suite was so roomy in Western cowboy decor and the mattress was perfect to fall asleep. As for breakfast, we loved the maple-tasty sausages rolls much with the scrambled eggs. The parking lot for vehicles was plentiful to find and park. Yes, there was an elevator that eased our weak legs to carry baggages. We really enjoyed every moment there.

We were very pleased with our room and liked the free breakfast. We liked the added touch of someone coming around to each table asking if we wanted more coffee. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Whitefish, we recommend the Best Western.

We were super happy with this hotel. The employees were all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptionally good, with lots of options and the breakfast area was huge. The room was exceptionally large. There was a nice table and two chairs plus a nice large chair in addition to the huge king-size bed. We also loved that unlike a lot of hotels the sink was inside the enclosed bathroom and not open to the bedroom. We will absolutly stay here again!

Hello, The minimum age to reserve a room is 18. Thanks for checking!
Yes, almost all are open. Thanks for asking!
Sorry, don't know the answer. Check hotel website n confirm with BW
No, there is no charging station available at the hotel. There is one electrical power port for desiels or vehicles that need to plug in on cold nights, attached to one light post.
Not sure, but I’m sure they would consider it. Very customer oriented hotel.
