My wife and I stayed at Good Medicine Lodge for two nights in the Huckleberry Suite. The bed was very comfortable and the views from our balcony superb, we overlooked the garden and the surrounding mountainside. Ryan met us, took our temperatures, then showed us around and helped us carry our bags to our room. The entire place, common areas and our suite were very clean and all guests and staff always wore masks inside and adhered to Covid restrictions. A tasty well-balanced breakfast is served to you each morning, there are always two entree options, fresh home baked sourdough bread hot from the dutch oven in the kitchen, juices, coffee and a pastry of the day. A very pleasant treat in the afternoon are the cookies and appetizer with wine and beer. The B&B is in Whitefish and was a very convenient location for us because we were only 25 minutes from Glacier National Park. It was a wonderful, restful and relaxing time. Thank you to both Ryan and Sara for their warm, friendly and outstanding service and beautiful Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place and will definitely return next we are in Whitefish.

We did a getaway from Seattle but will definitely come back with the kids. The hospitality here is warm and thoughtful. Little touches everywhere from gluten free cookies and homemade baked goods to having each woodpile next to the many fireplaces stocked with kindling, lots, matches and paper. Decor is beautiful and functional. Bed was supremely comfy with linnet ironed sheets! Every room is full of tasteful and not over done art, from fixtures to furniture to beautifully plated breakfasts. The hot tub was a treat afterour trek from Seattle. All soaps, lotions, cups, bowls, and plates are locally made. Amazing experience. Can’t wait to come back!

I've said it before but it's worth repeating...not a B&B guy at all (the doilies and breakfast around the family dining room was never my scene). Good Medicine is NOT that. Has a great small lodge feel with spacious, spotless, comfortable rooms; breakfast feels more like a small diner and everything they served is top-notch...fresh, local and delicious.

The kicker to Good Medicine is really Ryan and Sarah. A great couple who pulled the plug on the craziness of the Bay Area and started a new life as lodge owners. Their personalities, business acumen and pure sense of hospitality are what make the difference. How they have navigated the COVID restrictions and still managed to offer the same level of service and hospitality is a testament to two great folks. Can't wait to head back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Sara and Ryan’s bed and breakfast in Whitefish. We were on the fence about whether to stay in a hotel or Air BnB and if we wanted to be in the heart of downtown. We are so happy with our choice to stay at Good Medicine. You can tell Sara and Ryan take great pride in caring for their inn and their guests, from the fresh daily breakfast, to the organic bed linen and toiletries, the daily late afternoon appetizers and wine, and more. Especially during COVID-19, everything was pristinely clean. We also loved the location, it’s a short walk to the lake, which we visited daily and a comfortable walk into town (or a couple minute drive with easy parking). They are also walking distance to some must-try spots like Bonsai Brewing (next door), a great mexican restaurant across the street and the BEST sandwich place ever (Wich Haus) is a short walk away. Since it’s a bed and breakfast, some wonderful guests over breakfast, as well as Sara and Ryan, have us tips on what to do. Whitefish is such a beautiful little town and a convenient place to stay for visiting Glacier National Park. Couldn’t recommend Whitefish and staying at Good Medicine enough. Thank you, Sara and Ryan!

Staying at the Good Medicine Lodge was one of the best decisions we made on our honeymoon in Montana! We originally booked a two-night stay there and were blown away by the hospitality of Sara and Ryan, the owners, and by the quality of the accommodations. In fact, we were so impressed that we ended up coming back for another three nights a few days later when our backpacking plans got snowed out. Amazing accommodations include: daily appetizers, a delicious breakfast (includes gluten-free options!), irresistible cookies baked fresh daily, a relaxing hot tub, a washing and drying machine with detergent provided, and very clean and spacious rooms. However, what really sold us was the hospitality of Ryan and Sara. They made our stay feel like home, and they had lots of great suggestions for things to do and places to visit. We cannot wait to be back soon!

What is your expectation for a sweet at $347 a night? Well, the experience we received at this price was the following: We couldn't take a shower because there was no water pressure. You also couldn't manage the water temperature once it was redirected to the top shower head. The jet tub was also slippery which meant you had to hold on to the handicap rail as you showered with the sprinkle of water. The towels also seemed old or cheap in quality. The sweet is also located next to their laundry room which had an old washing machine running after 10:30 pm which you can hear through its complete wash. This created a bad night sleep giving me only 4 hours sleep which was tough on the drive the following morning as I drove my family back to Washington. When we brought this plumbing issue to the owner she said they were aware of the problem. The breakfast was also insulting as I was given a crepe with missing whip cream and was told they had ran out. We passed on their breakfast the second day and had a tasty breakfast downtown. The way the room is also set up with it's bulky armoire it makes it difficult to watch TV from bed. This bed and breakfast is also located away from downtown which meant you had to drive there. Overall this stay was bad medicine. Since I couldn't cancel the second night, my todal cost for two nights was $700.

We are so sorry to hear about your experience with us. We have since resolved the shower head pressure. That shower has a tendancy to have issues so we did know about it and have tried on occaission to fix it. Most guests have told us it isn't that bad but it does sometimes fill with sediment and slows the flow.....we are sorry it is not the amazing experience you were hoping for. I wish you could've given us another chance on your second morning to try our breakfast. We have many incredible homemade items to choose from including my husband's sourdough bread, our homemade granola with honey greek yogurt, fresh pastries and etc.. The suite you rented is a little awkward with the TV and armoire....as we are new owners and have only owned the Inn for 9 months, we are still working to tweak things and it will take time. But we appreciate the constructive criticism. Best to you and your family.

My husband and I can’t rave enough about the B&B and the excellent hospitality services Sarah and Ryan provide to their guests. Both hosts truly care about making your stay at their lodge the best one possible. Ryan was always ready to give us great tips about hiking trails, biking trails and how to maximize our visit to Glacier Park during our 3 night stay in Whitefish. All his tips were spot on! He even loaned us a can of bear spray because we (rookies) didn’t know how important it is to always carry it :) We stayed at the Bear Suite and enjoyed the yard and Mountain Views from our private deck. Room and bathroom plenty spacious for a couple. Queen size Bed is very comfortable. Lodge is tastefully decorated and was impeccably clean. All staff were friendly and always ready to assist us. Breakfast menu is gourmet style with different choices to pick from every morning, all ingredients are high quality and delicious. Also, Sarah always makes sure there are complementary freshly baked scones or muffins, delicious homemade granola with yogurt, or any other baked surprise for breakfast. Lucky for us one morning we got to try Ryan’s sourdough bread and it was of bakery quality. And oh boy, what a treat it was coming back to the lodge after a long day of exploring and finding Sarah’s delicious baked from scratch cookies and hors d’oeuvres with a choice of wine or beer.
Lodge is easy to find, about 15-20 minute walk from downtown.
Good restaurants very close by if you don’t feel like heading to downtown area. Needless to say we would love to come back and highly recommend the Good Medicine Lodge.

I travel quite a lot, and this is one of the best and coziest inns I have ever had the privilege of staying in. My friend and I stopped here for a night before our camping trip into Glacier, and we could not have picked a better spot. The details made all the difference: Sara met us at the door and gave us a tour of the building and its amenities, we were welcomed with fresh ice water in the room (exceptionally welcome in the heat) and glasses of wine and appetizers to enjoy in the common spaces, and the owners have delicious house made snacks available to guests all day long. We left for Glacier around 5am, and the owners were kind enough to pack delicious and filling brown bag breakfasts the evening before that we could take with us.

The inn is extremely clean and cozy. They supply local soaps and personal care products from Whitefish. There were even bookmarks available for us in the room! Downtown Whitefish is a quick 15 minute walk on sidewalks, and we were able to enjoy the city in the evening. All around we couldn't have found a better spot to stay. I have never written a Trip Advisor review before, but Good Medicine Lodge was so exceptional that we wanted to thank Sara and the staff for all of their work. Heartily recommended, and we will be back if we are ever in town!

Our visit to Good Medicine Lodge, for our 50th Wedding Anniversary, was all that we had hoped it would be, plus more! Our room was immaculate, quiet, had a private entrance to a patio and just steps to the garden. We loved the freshly ironed sheets, the organic towels and robes. We felt very spoiled, indeed. Sara and Ryan are wonderful hosts and strive to make your stay special and memorable. The exterior gardens were warm, inviting, and well-manicured; they grow their own herbs for garnish or provide the freshest strawberry in season, for your fruit cup. The breakfasts were totally amazing and a feast for the eye offering lots of scrumptious choices, meet any dietary need and provide ample servings. Your morning starts off right with fresh juice, local organic tea(s) and locally sourced coffee. But if you are still wanting, there are always freshly baked scones, mini cupcakes, proprietor made sourdough toast or English muffins in the breakfast room. But to die for are their signature home-made cookies, available around the clock. We already have booked our reservations for
December.

I can’t say enough good things about The Good Medicine Lodge! Ryan and Sarah (the owners/hosts) consistently went above and beyond in showing my fiancé and I an incredible time. It’s not just that you have you have 2 gourmet options for a home cooked breakfast daily, or the homemade pastries/breads, or the evening appetizer and adult beverage prior to going out to dinner, it’s that Ryan and Sarah did all of these things and more. Their attention to detail is evident from the moment that you walk in and they just want to make your trip special! Additionally, they are more than willing to offer up recommendations or accommodate special requests. The B&B itself is adorable! It’s got a hot tub, a great little living area with large windows, comfy leather chairs, a fireplace and has jazz playing in und evening! Finally, Good Medicine is perfectly located (especially if you’re skiing whitefish) as it’s on the edge of town closest to the mountain. 5 stars honestly isn’t enough!
