Three nights, including new year's eve, with dinner of superlative quality, and breakfasts never to be equalled. As Joe & Chris point out, they had decades of experience as Captain and Purser/Chef respectively on the motor yachts of some of the wealthiest, and now they bring that level of service to ordinary folk like us, people such as they are... As discerning world travelers, we have a breadth of experience of the hotelier's art. Seldom in our travels have we come across such an affordable combination of luxury, charm and friendliness. The proprietors, Joe and Chris, provide service above and beyond the call. The cuisine was exceptional from both standpoints of quality and quantity. We heartily recommend Musavale Lodge to... More

The lodge is beautiful with wonderful attention to detail in the decor. Chris and Joe are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they truly go out of their way to make your stay perfect. My wife and I and two of our adult children were fortunate to stay at Musavale Lodge on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day while visiting family and friends near Eumundi. This is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, extremely comfortable, and spotless. Chris and Joe made us all feel extremely welcome and went the 'extra... More

Chris and Joe offered a warm welcome on arrival, followed by freshly made afternoon tea. Luggage was taken to our room. We stayed in the first floor Verandah Room which opens out onto the wrap around verandah (goes right round the property) offering additional sitting out space with outdoor furniture, also lovely far reaching views into the countryside. Bedroom beautifully... More

My only hesitation with recommending Musavale Lodge is that I risk the chance of someone else having my bed when I next want to book a room! Having travelled in dozens of countries over the past 3 decades I simply can't believe the epitome of service, wonderful food, ambience etc was right on my doorstep all along, in Australia! Chris... This was our second stay at Musavale Lodge, and it was great to see Joe and Chris (and Snoopy) again. Honestly, there is not much more to say from my last review, except this. The level of luxury, service and attention is second to none, still. The location is perfect, still. The meals are sublime, and having Chris prepare you... More

Fantastic setting, and Chris and Joe are fantastic hosts. Chris will optionally cook dinner for you when you stay, trust me - it is an option you do not want to miss. Chris's cooking puts every other restaurant on the Sunshine coast to shame.
