We contacted prairie oasis campground 10-29-21 late in the afternoon and reserved a campsite over the phone. Patti reserved a site w/o a deposit, was very friendly and helpful when we got here, guiding us to a well maintained level gravel pull through with 50 a service, Wi-Fi, water and sewer for just under $50.00. Restrooms were clean,heated with 2 toilet stalls, and 3 showers. Quite happy with this campground

We were looking for a place to stay for one night. Found this place. We were not expecting anything and WOW! The owners are very friendly, hospitable and accommodating It's a small, personable,very welcoming and well kept campground. Beautiful and quiet with everything you need. Bathrooms and showers are immaculate! We just enjoyed!

I arrived pretty late in the day and was greeted by the owners. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, had all my hookups going and just generally had a couple of quick conversations with me when I was outside. Very welcoming and warm... I had a long day of driving and it was really a blessing.
Great grounds to walk around and plenty of room to walk the pups even though it's a smaller campground.
Price is so reasonable.
If you are going through this area... stay here... you'll be glad you did and you'll feel welcomed and safe.

Only stayed one night, on our way through. Reservations were easy to make, Patti called me within 10 minutes of our request. She did tell me that the latest checkin was 8pm, which was cutting us close after a 700 mile day, but we understand. I would have had no problem giving payment to secure our place though too, but some people don’t like to pay sight unseen. We called at 7pm, told them we would be rolling in about 7:45, we were greeted by Patti and Todd, shown to our site, and given a quick run through. Didn’t get a chance to explore everything but the restrooms were immaculate! Don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere with nicer facilities. Newly renovated, well maintained.
Yes, there were a lot of rules. That’s fine with us. If you’re looking for a place to party, move on down the road. If you’re looking for a clean, well run, easy to access campground, this is a great place.
Only reason for the four stars,not five, would be for area amenities. Not a lot to do close by. Not a reflection on the campground at all.

We were looking for a site off of I-80 just for the night to sleep. I found this campground and they had availability and great pricing. I emailed Melanie to let her know we would be late checking in, she got back with me promptly and told me exactly what to do and even gave me a number in case we needed anything. Only got to see it in the dark since we headed out early, but the place was neat and clean and literally right off the interstate, just like we wanted!

The place has large spots, with full hookups. Very nice, huge lawns, next to a lake and a cornfield. Suoer nice. The couple who run the place bend over backward to help out. Lots of well maintained flower beds. About 4 mikes from a nice little town. The lake has some small boars you can borrow.

It gives me pleasure to write this review. This is a very small quiet campground owned and operated by Todd and Patty who are very friendly and appreciative of visitors business. The campground is very clean and has a moderately stocked store. It has a small lake with three paddle boats for use at no charge. The first bundle of firewood is free. All sites are pull thru. The grass area between spots is fairly narrow. Only drawback is the small bugs in the afternoon and evening. During the Covid pandemic, only 50% of the site are rented. My compliments to Todd and Patty for doing their part to stop the spread of this disease. This an old KOA they have purchased. I truly hope they do well and I will definitely stay again when in the area and will highly recommend this property for a nights stay

This place is beautiful. We arrived at almost midnight and everything was ready for our stay. What a surprise the next morning to see the lovely grounds: the lake, the trees, the nearby cornfields--and, this property has a sizable storm shelter tucked into the hillside! We were sorry we had to leave.
Instead of going a bit further west to the more visible chain campground, do yourself a favor and stop here. It is worth it!

Prairie Oasis Campground is a wonderful place to stay! Patty and Todd are so nice and hospitable. The price is amazing and the campground is extremely well kept and beautiful. They have free paddle boats, horse shoes, a sandpit with toys , swings and lots of open grassy areas.

My husband and I stayed at Prairie Oasis in June 2020 on our way from Chicago to Colorado. Such a nice clean campground. It had so much to offer. We spent time by the lake and also played horseshoes. The owners were very friendly and were attentive to our needs. They brought firewood around to all the campsites. We would definitely stay here again. The price was very reasonable, especially for all the amenities.
