We stayed two nights in the Roost in the Barn......it was wonderful! Jeanna is in her element as a hostess and ambassador, she makes it her priority to meet the needs of her guests. We felt so at home and welcomed, she truly shares her home with others and you feel pampered and special. The breakfasts were delicious and gourmet,...

I am a B&B snob, I admit it. So many B&Bs are either too contemporary, too overly-decorated, or just plain boring. When I find a B&B with the charms of yesterday and a room I especially love, I'm hooked! That is how I feel about Whispering Pines, and especially about the Rose Room. Whispering Pines is a 45 minute drive...

Our friends told us about this B and B. We found it to be a perfectly wonderful getaway. Jeanna, innkeeper, greeted us with lemonade and homemake cookies upon our arrival. We enjoyed the hot tub, huge wrap a round porch and scenic landscape of this 6 acre property. Our room was cozy and the breakfast delicious. It was a five...

The tranquility, beautiful landscape and service was wonderful. Jeanna was a gracious host and made our one night stay peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in the Arbor room. The room is very cozy, especially with the huge post in front of the bed and TV. The lowered ceiling panels have water stains and the room felt and smelled damp and...

Hi Rolewis, I'm glad you enjoyed the landscape, service and our hostessing and the rain shower head in the bathroom. But, I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with your room. Had I known you had issue with it while you were here, I would have suggested we upgrade you to the Roost in the Barn. As I'd mentioned...

We needed a getaway from several stressful years. We found this little gem online and decided to visit the barn. The house and barn are decorated with lots of detail. We had a great time. Brought along my three girls - 17, 11, and 4. Jeanna is a wonderful host and excellent cook. The planned dinner was not something we...

I have been meaning to write a review for Whispering Pines for some time now -- our last stay was in May 2015 but we have been regular visitors since 2008. We even made a special trip to spend a few nights of our honeymoon at Whispering Pines. Jeanna is so hospitable and professional. The food is fabulous – not...

We stayed at the B&B and had a great time! Not only was Jeanna helpful in telling us the highlights of the surrounding area, but her cooking is great! Our relaxing stay was just what we needed. These nice place has a few declining features....the barn needs a bathroom remodel and Internet connection improvement. The price has increased but this room is still the same and needs a refresh do over. Would be nice to have up to date television options also. Quaint and great surroundings but we seriously think it is overpriced now.

I’m sorry you were disappointed in your stay. Sometimes things are out of our control, and in this case it was the internet service. We just had our internet service company come look at the problem and there was a failure in a piece of the hardware; so if you stayed recently, that was likely the cause. Our apologies it...

My wife and I spent one night here on way from Kansas City to Omaha after seeing the positive TripAdvisor reviews. Beautiful B&B sitting on 6 acres with a wraparound porch overlooking the grounds.
