Do not rent rooms in the fall! Heat does not move throughout the bedrooms! Also, the bed and especially the bunk beds are the worst! Clean but terribly uncomfortable! Also, the price is too high for the quality! Find another location a few miles away!

I was on a motorcycle trip with friends to Colorado and someone in your group booked a cabin at this state park. Normally there is a two-night minimum, but the there was a single night available for cabin 14 because it was between bookings. When I heard when would be staying in a cabin you never quite know what to... More

I stayed in the cabins and while they weren't fancy, they were comfortable and clean. I could see the Big Dipper at night from the bedroom window and enjoyed sitting in the screened porch in the afternoon watching the Missouri River wander by. The bugs were bad (if you stopped moving) but the scenery was spectacular. This park doesn't have... More

Park was very clean, loved the area, camp hosts were nice, great for bikes and kids, BUT and it's one great big BUT...the game and parks were always in your face and very rude. Definitely on power trips. I can tell you my husband and I go camping quite a bit and this trip was was 50 others. We were... More

Overall a great experience. Stayed with 40+ family members over a long weekend and the setting is simply incredible. Cabins are within walking distance yet far enough to have comfortable privacy. I agree with the other statements regarding the rude park superintendent. Other issue is that unlike previous years staying at Nebraska State Parks, the housekeeping staff will not provide... More

Be prepared to be stalked all day long by the park superintendent. This guy is one rude individual. Absolutely the worst camping experience ever! He makes his own rules and acts like hes just doing his job. Pretty much takes over the campground. I would love to talk more about this guy but he probably will try and have me... More

We stayed in a cabin with two bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and there was a grocery store a short drive away. There is a lovely enclosed porch and we used the charcoal grill to have a cookout. Our kids loved the bunkbeds in their bedroom and it was nice to have the privacy of... More

We stayed in the RV campground and found it to be a very nice facility. The grounds were mowed and very neat. The sites are paved and level. We had a 50 amp site. There are no individual water hook ups, but since we were only staying two nights we managed. The bathrooms and shower facilities are clean and convenient.... More

we stayed in the "primitive" tent sites which were very large and private. Staff was friendly and took the effort to get to know us over the few days we were there. Scenery was beautiful. only a few minor complaints: the outhouses were pretty bad, you had to pay to shower and the pool was kind of pricey. overall, we... More

We came a bit too early in the year for this park. It was still a little chilly and the horse ranch and pool were closed for the season. However, our cabin was great (#5 Broken Pipe) and fully equipped with everything I needed to feed the group. The hiking and photo ops were also really nice. The beds in... More
