Halfway on our journey from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe, we sought out the Santa Fe Saloon, a nice oasis, friendly gal, Sylvia, taking care of business. We enjoyed our visit, enjoyed the history, and will make it our regular stop when taking this long trip.

Rooms fine, simple but comfortable and decent price. Restaurant (only frozen pizza so don't count on food) and bar up there with the least friendly I have ever visited. Grumpy bartender. Cool mining relics and antiques in vicinity of hotel, and bar itself interesting. Historic buildings.

Maybe this is not the ideal vacation spot for some but we spent a couple of nights at the Santa Fe during a road trip and found the motel facilities exactly what we wanted. The room was clean, very spacious and comfortable and certainly quiet being about 1/4 mile from the road. The facilities are basis - eg. no coffee...

I travel to Goldfield about every other weekend . Sometimes every weekend . You will not find a more peaceful Motel in all of Nevada . The saloon ( the only saloon in town ) is right out of the early 1900's . Don't let the sign scare you away , because the Bartender ( Laural ) is the coolest...

As you pass through Nevada, there is a little town called Goldfield, Nevada. They have very few open businesses but it's a quaint town with very friendly folks. I happened to stay in the only motel in town. It has only 8 rooms. It is clean and comfortable and very quiet. Exactly what I wanted. There are no amenities except...

A Great Place! The Saloon where one checks in is a period piece out of the 1800s, but the room is certainly 20th century. Heated and cooled, clean and comfortable, it was a great find on the road between two places. Definitely Western!

Most people never stop in Goldfield. They don't have a gas station only a small mini-mart type store and one restaurant. But they do have a hotel and bar. The Santa Fe is one of the oldest bars in Nevada. The hotel is nothing special but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It's a great place with...

Saw good reviews. Looking for a good place to ride dirt and mine trails. Thought we would check it out. Great room. Great old, sad, historic, cool, quiet spot. Walked around Goldfield for hours. Great room, Quiet enough that you can't even hear the highway.

We stumbled upon this little gem twenty years ago on our way south and when I knew we were going to be back passing through I made a reservation to return. It took me several calls before I got someone to answer to take my reservation, so don't call in the morning, no one will answer and there is no...

What a gem in the middle of nowhere. We stayed here for a night on our trip (only place to stay in Goldfield NV). It was so filled with history and a nice saloon. The rooms were big, very clean and quiet. This is a no frills place so you might want to bring an electric tea kettle and coffee...
