This was a great stop to stay the night while on a road trip elsewhere with our dog. I’ve never seen a more pet friendly hotel. They have a great dog park where your pets can play and toilet. Our room was clean and had nice decor and the floors were LVP so no worries about any accidents. We had a nice dinner at the cafe in the casino. Fast WiFi, hot water, and friendly staff. There is a nice gas station next door so we could easily gas up and grab road snacks to resume our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

Where do I begin. Don't stay in a room at the end of the hallway. WI-Fi is awful. I actually had to go in the hallway, get connected and then I could go back into my room. Yes, I had to do this every time. No password needed. Smoking is allowed in the casino and the 24/7 Restaurant is pretty good for the money. Ate there numerous times. They do close down the restaurant one night for a deep cleaning in the kitchen which I can appreciate. Ask which night. As far as the rooms being redone. Yes they were but they weren't thinking in certain areas. There is no fridge in room or a room safe. There is no pool. Despite what web site pictures show. I think they turned it into a doggie park. I could be wrong. I forgot to ask. Hot water takes quite a while to come up but when it does, it's hot. So much wasted space. Small computer desk. Desk lamp took up quite a bit of space. There are quite a bit of places to charge and plug in devices. Only one small counter between the beds. If you're a CPAP user, ask for an end table next to the bed. The heater and A/C unit were old but worked ok and not too noisy. Bathroom too had a lot of wasted space, If two people were staying in the room, you'd be hard pressed to put all your night stuff on the counter. Also the shower stall seemed a bit tight and I'm not a fan of glass doors. One of my pet peeves is a round toilet. Please stop putting these in. Elongated, elongated, elongated. I can't say that enough. Australia had the best toilets. Not a lot of drawer space for two people in my opinion in the main area. The TV is too low to the dresser. You put stuff on the dresser you block the screen. I will say they do have a good selection of shows including numerous HBO channels. There is a new Holiday Inn Express right across from RPH. I might check into that next time. That reminds me, if you're looking to check in, use the door right across from Holiday Inn. RPH has no directions as to where the front desk is. They also don't have a lot of handicap parking spaces. The woman at reception said it was okay to use the Holiday Inn spaces. I was Leary as HI actually posted signs saying for HI guests only. Good luck to all that stay here. It was okay for my purpose.

Glad they are doing a renovation because it sorely needs it. Handle was missing form the front door, very dark lobby. Room was in need of more electrical outlets. The bathroom was less that adequate. Shower was moldy. I only stayed one night.

Please note that the hotel is under renovation. The room we stayed in was NOT yet renovated. Boy, does this place need a renovation. It may well be much nicer after the renovations are complete. I would have given a rating of 2 were it not for the responsive and kind people at the desk. The first room we had was infested with bugs - carpet beetle larvae crawling all over the top of the beds. The good news is they don't bite. The bad news is they must have hitch hiked onto some of our stuff in the brief minutes our bags were in the room because we fought them all weekend, and even found some came home with us. Everything had to be washed and fumigated. Do not put anything down in the room, even on the floor, until you have checked for bugs. We were assigned another room without argument. The fire alarm went off at 5 am. We all evacuated but were told to go back upstairs as it was a false alarm. They could not turn it off for 2 hours. The food at the Iron Rail Cafe is always good. Has been for years. Best French toast. Great steaks. They do need to hire more help. The wait staff was very nice but were trying to cover too many tables. Would we stay again? Well... we were there for an event held on the grounds. IF they renovate it before the next such event, and I can be assured of NO bugs, yes, I would.

The property was extremely dated and dirty, especially for the price. I was told at the front desk that my room was non smoking but, upon entry found it to smell like smoke and there was an ashtray on the table. The bedside lights did not work - both were plugged in but, for one reason or another nonfunctional. Although the hotel provided single use toiletries, there were also large dispensers in the shower - one empty and one full of clearly very old product. The carpet was heavily worn and clearly in need of a good cleaning. The furnishings were very dated and "well used".

We were flying in late Friday night from a cruise, so we were stuck with premium weekend rates and this was the cheapest motel we could find at nearly $100 on the outskirts of Henderson. We got in after dark and the signage was terrible as they are in the midst of switching over to becoming part of the Ramada chain. We had a hard time finding the entrance, let alone where to register once we were inside the casino. Once we did locate the desk, which wasn't anywhere close to where we were now parked, we were greeted by Jared. He was very personable, gave us suggestions for meals, and was probably the best part of our stay. We'd planned to get a players card, but after waiting nearly 5 minutes at that desk without anyone acknowledging us, we finally left and went to the restaurant. The waitresses were friendly and our shared quesadilla was very tasty. The motel and room however, were pretty bad. The hallways were dark, smelly, in disrepair and "decorated" with old shabby furniture. Our room was large, but was again in disrepair (bent rods, tilted lamps, bulbs out in the bathroom) as well as having a pretty powerful musty/cigarette smell, and a not so nice view of a poorly maintained roof. The carpet in the room looked and felt really nasty, so we wore shoes when our feet were on the floor and made sure our clothing stayed in our suitcase. The floor to the shower was also questioningly discolored so we opted to not use it. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows very flat. On the positive side, the AC did work well, the bedding itself appeared clean, and we didn't experience any external noise during the night. We got up and left earlier than we otherwise would have because, being non smokers, the smell alone was more than we could stand. The price we paid was WAY too much for the condition, but we would not stay here again (even at half the price) without some MAJOR renovations. Kudos to the staff we had contact with, but thumbs down to management. They need to give these employees a place where they can be proud to work.

Highly disappointed and will never recommend your property to anyone. The bed dipped down in the middle and we spent the night trying to keep from rolling down into the dip, we slept very little. We did not get into bed until 1130 or so and did not inspect the bed when we checked-in because we have never had an experience like this and had no idea that any reputable establishment would allow such a thing to happen, this was a first for us. At that point, we had to choose to either try to make the best of it and sleep and check out in the morning, or be forced to pack up at midnight and be moved to another room. Again, no reputable establishment would put any paying customer in that situation. When I woke up, none of the lights would turn on except the little light hanging over the table, the entryway, and one single bulb in the three light fixture in the bathroom. I searched the room lights for switches and when I bumped the light switch on the lamp beside my side of the bed it turned on. The tv switched on, but then immediately went blank and nothing on the remote control could make it do anything. The room was grimy on every level, the bathroom was barely clean and the towels were white, but had holes in them as if someone had used too much bleach on them-which may not be a bad thing, all things considered. We went down to check out and cancel the second night and there was supposedly no manager to assist us with these issues. A manager happened to walk in from the Holiday Inn and basically said there was nothing she could do and made us pay for our stay in that filthy, disgusting room. She did, however, not charge us for early departure and explained that they were getting ready to renovate the entire hotel. I should also mention that we were ignored while trying to be seated at the cafe, and when we were finally seated we were never waited on while several other people were seated and had drinks and their orders taken. I finally asked a server if we could get some help and when she rudely stated she could get drinks for us and that was it. We walked out and also cancelled our reservations for the steakhouse on Sunday night. We drove in to Las Vegas to eat. Congratulations to you Railroad Pass Casino and flophouse, you taught two old dogs that we can still be surprised and disgusted at our ages.

reading the reviews, i was braced for the worst... but we found the rooms clean, large, and comfortable... a variety of slots that seemed to be paying off... i would definitely stay here again ! the basic price of the room was great, but with a cleaning fee and small dog fee, we paid a little over $100...still an ok price...

You'd think when promoting a place as historical they would keep it in decent or better shape. This place was a huge disappointment, and stinks literally! From the excessive smoke to an odd stagnant water type smell in the room it's just horrible. Our supposedly non smoking floor smelled of smoke. The mattress is like sleeping on rocks and the shower floor was stained and worn .And seriously, they can't even replace torn lampshades?! We checked out after one night of our 3 nights stay. Historic or not if they can't afford or won't do MAJOR renovating they should bulldoze it and build a second Holiday Express ( which is behind it).
