The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino garners praise for its pristine cleanliness, with guests consistently commending the tidiness of rooms and public spaces. Nestled in a sought-after location, the resort offers breathtaking views and is a stone's throw away from local attractions. While the rustic charm of the hotel's atmosphere is a hit among those seeking a cozy retreat, opinions on the amenities and service are mixed, with some citing additional fees and service inconsistencies. Despite the friendly staff, guests are divided on the value, pointing out high costs and varying room experiences.

This is a beautiful property on the lakefront surrounded by tall pines.

I only stayed at the hotel for two nights but would have loved to have more time to explore. I was here for a wedding which took place on the cottage green by the lakeside cottages. The staff that handled the wedding were marvelous and professional, the setting was divine with lake views under a canopy of tall pine trees and the food was superb.

Guest registration service was smooth and very professional and accommodating, with plexiglass screens and sanitizer. My room was impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable. I stayed in room 160, a double/double lake view w balcony or patio. Room 160 is on the first floor and is a room attached to the cottage suites in the lakeside cottages. This particular room is in the closest cottage to the lake, with a patio with Adirondack chairs and superb view.

Amenities in the room lacked for nothing: bookcase filled with interesting reads, a mini glass door fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, robes, large closet, safe, gigantic flat screen TV with Chromecast so you can stream your own media like Netflix and Prime, automatic floor lights that illuminate if you get out of bed in the dark, many hooks for clothes and accessories, nice toiletries, plenty of USB points, a sofa and table, reading lights, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, makeup lighting surrounding the bathroom mirror, charming window shutters and a second door out to your private patio practically on the sand.

Because I was busy with wedding stuff, I didn't get to try the two restaurants that were open on the property, Lone Eagle Grille and Cutthroats. There is also a provisions store inside the main hotel building by reception for food and supplies to go. The restaurants are operating at 50% capacity so you will need reservations.

Hyatt is taking covid very seriously and there is a mask requirement across the entire property and sanitizer stations are everywhere, and the beach and pool areas have a chair spacing system and I saw cleaning of the chairs between uses. My room was very very clean and I felt very safe.

The only negative thing I can say about my experience was that the connecting door to the adjoining room was not soundproofed and there was a party going on from the time I arrived at 1 pm until approx. 11 pm. It was a wedding party so I did not complain and wished them well, but it was disappointing that all their folding camp chairs were blocking my path and view of the beach and that they were so loud that I could not hear my TV or enjoy a peaceful time on my patio. They checked out the next day but I felt sorry for the poor staff cleaning the room and patio and collecting the seemingly hundreds of bottles and mess went on for hours. Not their fault but some good soundproofing would go a long way to preserve the sanity of those in an adjoining (expensive) room!

In any case, I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning for a longer stay when covid is a distant memory!

I booked too rooms at this hotel using AMEX Fine hotels and resorts. The AMEX website clearly stated that each 'King Room' sleeps three people. When we checked in we were told that the Room has only one King bed and practically sleeps 2. At first they said extra roll away beds are not available for King rooms. After speaking to the check in supervisor she agreed to add roll away beds to our rooms so we can accommodate the whole family. There was of course a hassle when they initially said it would be free of charge, then charged us $25/bed/night, then agreed to cancel the charge considering the AMEX confusion. So wasn't exactly their fault, but the staff could have been more helpful and offer extra beds to begin with.
Other then that the hotel is nice. Gets a bit busy in the public areas when people go to/from skiing. There is a convenient frequent shuttle to Diamond Peak. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is OK. Not really worth the $26 price. We used the "to go" section of the restaurant that had a very good selection of quality food.

As a hyatt globalist, this was probably the best hotel I have been to in terms of customer service.
We arrived early in the day 01/03 (the plan was to store our luggage and go skiing until our room was ready); however, they checked us in immediately. I used my suite upgrade awards and we had a great room! The front desk agent gave us our keys and a coupon for a s'more kit and a casino voucher.
We didn't known this, but the regency club was undergoing renovations so were only able to use it for one day. For some reason our key didn't work Saturday 01/04 but front desk rekeyed us.
We didn't use our room key for parking (took the ticket on accident) so we had a $120 bill when we went out to dinner the next day (we paid it in order to get out). When we drove back we figured out how to use the key to get in and out. We stopped by the front desk to ask about the parking situation and the young man (J) immediately refunded us for the parking.
He also noted that since the club was shut down for renovations we should have received breakfast vouchers. He provides breakfast vouchers, appetizer vouchers for either the bar or the lone eagle grill, he also threw in a couple drink vouchers, coffee vouchers, and champagne. He was very friendly, personable, and just absolutely amazing. I can say that out of all the Hyatts I've stayed at, his customer service skills have stood out (which is why I bothered writing a review).
Overall though, beautiful hotel, great shuttle service, convenient, you do have to pay for parking but overall it's a fantastic hotel and we will be staying there again!

Wow! Thank you for this phenomenal review and for your kind words about our team. We know who you're talking about and will be sure he gets credit for his service – we appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We'll also take a look at our policies on renovations and be sure to do a better job in ensuring all guests are aware of temporary closures and that our front desk team is proactively distributing breakfast vouchers and (other fun treats!) We're so glad you stayed with us and will look forward to welcoming you back.

This hotel was great in that it had restaurants and hot tubs! However, the customer service was frustrating. The first morning we had to be up early so we tried to order their "Tahoe to go" that says it opens at 6am. It never opened and we just ate cliff bars for breakfast. They accidentally checked us out a night early and twice accidentally overcharged us (they did refund them). Everyday of our three days was a new thing with staff. They booked us a reservation at one of the restaurants but when we tried to call to move it the phone just kept ringing, they never answer it even though its advertised to call and make/change your reservation from your room. Otherwise, the actual hotel was nice and we enjoyed having a hot tub to return to every night (although heads up people still bring their kids into it though it says "no kids" and of course no hotel staff enforce it).

Mara, thanks for staying with us and bringing these issues to our attention. We pride ourselves on a normally very high level of service, so we'll connect with the appropriate teams about the issues you raised and discuss how we can ensure they don't happen again in the future. We're so glad you enjoyed the amenities on property, however, and hope you otherwise had a lovely stay here in northern Lake Tahoe!

We recently stayed from a Saturday to Tuesday to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Well, our trip was absolutely ruined by the construction of an ice skating rink - just outside of our cottage balcony/patio, on a SUNDAY morning. Who does that???? I called to complain of course and the concierge said they weren’t supposed to start until Monday but should only be working 9-5pm.

Well 5pm rolled around and they were still banging and rattling away, but with flashlights now! I called again to complain about the time and finally someone came down and told the guys to head out. But of course, the work picked back up on Monday morning, going all day long just as promised.

Unfortunately for us, we paid for one of the highest costing rooms to simply enjoy the atmosphere by the lakeside cabins and have a romantic weekend.

Unfortunately for the consumers, the Hyatt provides FALSE ADVERTISING. The truth is, booking this hotel is a gamble - rightfully so being situated with a Casino.
You can book and arrive and plan to spend thousands of dollars, BUT you do not know what the Hyatt has planned or what they’ve accepted to go down on their property. Don’t expect a courteous heads up, that’s for sure. If we had gotten one, I would have simply rescheduled to a different weekend.

The location is great in winter if you’re going to diamond peak. Not much else to do but enjoy the hotel. Recommend going on a weekday if you want to avoid families of kids in the jacuzzi at night. Pet friendly in a sense they allow dogs in the cabins and there is nature all around. No extra trash cans with poop bags or anything.

The Lone Eagle grill was incredible eating.
Tahoe Provisions offers great healthy options too. Cutthroat Saloon was very mediocre, we didn’t finish our food.

Casino is fun, bar service in the casino is absolutely horrible. My husband and I had to just sit there waiting even after asking what’s up to other workers.

Thank you so much for staying with us! We know there are a few luxury options here on the north shore and we really do appreciate that you chose to stay with us. We completely understand your concern about the event disrupting your peace and quiet and truly apologize for the noise! We have quiet hours in place to ensure guests can relax, and we'll chat with our security team about being sure to enforce that before guests like yourself have to call and complain. While we do occasionally host weddings on the cottage green, we have strict noise enforcement policies and always do the best we possibly can to ensure it doesn't interfere with guests trying to relax. On the occasion you were here, a small ice-skating rink was being built for a private event. It's the only time we've ever done that, and now, knowing how much it interrupted your stay, we'll look at alternate policies and rules for future large-scale events. We are always very happy to answer questions in advance about events coming up during guests' stays and change room assignments accordingly if desired. We hope you won't let this poor experience tar your opinion of the north shore. We'd love to have you back and promise to provide a more relaxing and peaceful visit on any future visits. Thanks so much!

We spent 3 great days at this property; below are some of the highlights.

Pros:
* Excellent private beach with fun swimming area and lounge seating. We were promptly seated in the best available spot. There are reasonably priced kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available for rent (For 1 hour it costs about the same or a little more than what it would cost to rent these in town).
* Breakfast buffet was high quality and well adapted for COVID (i.e., they have staff behind a plexiglass partition that plate the food for you).
* Warm service and welcome (even though I have no Hyatt status). We received a coupon for a smores kit and welcome glass of sparkling wine.
* Lots of hand sanitizers throughout the property.
* Shuttle service within Incline Village (parking can be a bit of a challenge in some tourist hotspots, like Tunnel Creek road to Monkey rock).

Cons:
* Standard double bed room feels a bit dated, though within the norm for an older property that has been renovated (e.g., no separate tub and shower). However, we did not spend too much time in our room.
* While this is really more a quirk of Incline village, the local food options are not the best for vegetarians ... it was a carbtastic few days for us!

We stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Resort and casino at Incline Village, Nevada. We stayed in a lakefront room that was actually more like separate little cottages. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe. The hotel has good covid policies. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, clean and attractive rooms, the microwave, refrigerator, special touches such as a lantern for walking around at night, 3 restaurants, optional food to-go options, the evening firepits, complementary welcome drinks, s'mores and close parking at the cottage rooms. The hotel is within walking distance of a few other restaurants and shops and just a short drive to the town area. There is a casino on site and did win some but gave most of our winnings back. 1st night even though it was a Thursday it was really hard to get a drink in the casino but on Saturday when we returned it was easier. We were able to ride our bikes from the hotel to the area bike paths. There is a beautiful beach and although we didn't use it a nice pool. We would like to return in warmer months to enjoy swimming in the pool and at the beach. The price was on the higher side but this is a Hyatt Resort on the Lake and is to be expected. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort. We just went for the snow so my two kids can have some outdoor time during their spring break. I usually stay in South Tahoe but thought I would give North Tahoe a try. Overall everything was as expected during Covid. There are plenty of hand sanitizer stations, restaurants were at limited capacity, employees at the casino were at the entrances to hand you masks if you forgot yours. The value of the rooms were good. We stayed in a standard 2 queen bedroom room. You just have to be mindful of the other fees associated with staying at the resort which quickly adds up and was the only downside of the whole stay. Self parking is an additional $26 and the resort fee is $40. Other properties have parking included in the resort fee. So with those fees our room was over $300 a night. Probably would have considered a different hotel if I knew that going in. But overall, I am happy we stayed at this hotel.

We spent three perfect days in Lake Tahoe at the Hyatt. We booked a room with a mountain view and a balcony. I used the rocking chairs on the balcony quite a bit. We had a bit of a walk to get to the main section of the resort (restaurants, lobby, etc) so if you have an issue with walking, ask for a room that accommodates your needs. Our room had the usual hotel things. Mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, small safe. The room was well kept with normal wear and tear (paint chipping off doors). Things are a bit different since there are covid protocols. No furniture in lobby, benches roped off to keep people from gathering, casino games separated for distancing, etc. Just know this going in. I think they did a good job and masks were worn. We received a coupon for a s'more kit and two coupons for two free drinks from Provisions. There is a filtered water dispenser in the lobby if you want to bring a refillable cup. Staff were very friendly and our check in and check out were quick. If you use the restaurants on site, I would recommend making a reservation since things are picking up some. You can't beat the location of the lake! This was our first time in Tahoe so we chose the North part. After driving around the lake we knew this was the perfect place to stay. Feels tucked in and less touristy, that's what we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.

Unfortunately the staff at the hotel’s private beach were very unfriendly, bordering on rude and condescending. From what I observed (and I watched a lot of interactions) they have no interest in helping anyone and they seem to be in a mission to prevent any sort of fun, seemingly unhappy with their jobs. As a result, we ended up spending very little time at the hotel beach which is probably what they wanted. On the plus side, the room comes with a fridge which I highly recommend you stock with drinks from Raleys down the street since your options at the hotel are extremely limited and highly overpriced. Also a shout out the friendly guy at the bike shop in the lobby, and the awesome guy who greets you on the street as you enter the beach side of the resort. He brings a water bowl for passing dogs and was super friendly. We also highly recommend a boat ride with Ryan who was great at teaching our kids how to wake surf (book at the beach - the concierge won’t help you he will just tell you to walk to the beach and talk to them there). Overall I think it was overpriced, offset somewhat with the free Buffett breakfast (although extremely limited options and it gets old pretty quick).
