Everything was wonderful--My wife and myself have never had such a wonderful stay at a hotel--All the employees gave us excellent service--40 years ago we spent our honeymoon at the old King's Castle (which is now the Hyatt)--since then we've watched the Hyatt grow into a first class hotel--

We spent a long weekend here, and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean and modern, with some thoughtful touches like coat hooks. (Why don't all hotels have these‽) Bonus points for the TV having a usable HDMI port, and a night light which is motion-activated so you can use the toilet at night without blinding your partner getting there.... Hotel tried to put us in a room that was already occupied. By the time it was straightened out, 40 minutes had gone by. All the staff was friendly, but the check-in mess soured the trip. It was probably just a hiccup, but frustrating nonetheless.

Hyatt never lets you down. This hotel is lovely. We were greeted with champagne flutes when we checked in, and the concierge was extremely helpful with the area. The rooms have a rustic decor, and are large and very clean. The property is on the North shore of the lake so you can grab a coffee and watch the sun... More

Every moment of our stay was amazing, and we rarely left the hotel grounds! Exploring outdoors, the lake, beach-side activities and s'mores by the fire at night. The Kids Camp was convenient and the kids loved it - we could barely get them to leave!

Gorgeous view from the cottages of the lake. Friendly staff. Lone eagle restaurant was expensive but delicious with a view of the lake. Great 5 mile run along the lake! We were able to see the fall colors and then the snow hit. Being from SoCal we loved it!

We had a decent stay at this location on a 1st visit to Tahoe. I think I'd go back during the summer next time. The room was well kept and clean but had no items in the mini bar. We were disappointed in the hot tub being closed down and the alternate amenities were a bit inconvenient.

Stayed for an extended weekend. The check-in was great with champagne. Our room location was not greatest since we had to walk through the convention staff area and the room itself looked out into a partial wall and trees. We were under the impression that we had booked a higher end room. The casino was horrible!!

This Hotel has a beautiful locatio The service was excellent and the staff pleasant and friendly. The value was quite good. I will strongly consider a return, possibly staying in one of the available cottages.

Stayed here for a long weekend. We arrived at night and took Mt. Rose highway. It was under an hour from the airport. There is a large parking area; during this season, it was not hard to find parking. It was an easy and short check-in process. The room was immaculate, spacious (2 adults, 2 kids) and with contemporary in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A spectacular setting on Lake Tahoe’s north shore with 500 feet of private, lakefront beach. Surrounded by towering pines and mountain greenery; 35 miles to Reno/Tahoe Int’l Airport; 40 miles to South Lake Tahoe Airport. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino was recreated in the classic style of a 1920s alpine grand lodge. Exterior renovations of river rock and shingles complement the natural environment with colors echoing the tradition and sense of history of the original homes built in the Tahoe area. Extensive river rock landscaping and two outdoor fireplaces add to the guests' sense of arrival at the "Old Tahoe-Lodge" style entrance. The resort's Grand Lobby boasts crafted stonework, creating a cozy setting amid the warmth of an oversized double-sided fireplace, rich leather chairs and high-beam ceilings. The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel. Offering 138 luxury guestrooms with views of the Sierra Nevada skyline, the addition provides visitors with private balconies and breathtaking lake views. The Spa Terrace replaces the resort's former Aspen Terrace and overlooks the resort's new swimming pools. ... more   less
