This was a family vacation with my sister and her young kids. The villa slept the 6 of us very comfortably and was perfect. It was very clean and comfortable. I loved that I had an en-suite master bathroom to myself. I truly enjoyed sitting on the balcony with coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. The box fan in the unit was helpful in the evenings since there is no a/c. Since the 2 bedrooms are on the lower level, they were cool and comfortable at night. I would think the loft would be too hot for me personally but the kids didn't have any issue. We enjoyed the short walk to the area that has corn hole and horseshoes. The kids loved the pool and I enjoyed relaxing on the pool deck reading. Hats off to the front desk staff who came out periodically to remind people to put on their face masks - despite a little push back. I applaud you and wouldn't want that job as dealing with different attitudes isn't always easy. Kudos to the 2 young front desk ladies working around 6pm on 07/31. I wish I would've noted their names so I could've completed your 'Pat on the back' form you have in the unit. Rays was sold out of aluminum foil and I had casually mentioned it and they went into the bar area and tore off enough for us to use until the next day when we could go to a different store. The community beach had just closed to non-residents but no biggie as I wasn't planning to go there as the fees are a bit high in my opinion if you paying for 6 people. We enjoyed beautiful Sand Harbor beach. I wasn't keen on trying to arrive by 7:30 am in order to get in line so we went at 5 pm on the dot and got in just fine. It was my first time to North Lake Tahoe and I hope to be able to go back and I would definitely stay at Club Tahoe again. It had everything we needed and was more affordable than other places in the area.

Check in went quickly with no problems. Everything explained about the area and resort at check in. Lisa was especially helpful during our stay.

Our unit was a two bedrooms / two bath below with a small loft with two twin beds above the living room area. For the most part the unit was a little small and dated but overall clean and serviced our needs for the 5 of us nicely.

We found the location perfect. There are restaurants, shops, and grocery store just a few min away. Hiking trails and overlook areas also very close.

We snow skied at Mnt Rose for two days and really enjoyed the small ski resort that we were able to drive right up to the resort and park our SUV. Much different than the overpriced massive Heavenly ski resort that we skied at a couple years ago. Very convenient to go back to the vehicle and have lunch. There are 3 ski resorts very close. Mnt Rose took us about 20 min to drive to, Diamond Peak is about 10 min, and Northstar probably is 20-30 min away but we did not make it there to take a look.

One day we drove around the lake and hiked at Emerald Bay and checked out several overlooks. Hiking is everywhere! We had fun even though there was snow on the ground and it was 35 degrees.

I would stay at Club Tahoe again in the future if available on RCI trade and look forward to a visit in the summer..

Club Tahoe Resort is a great choice for any season. Lake Tahoe water activities and many hiking trails serve the area for warmer weather; winter skiing sites are nearby as well. Food service options on site are quite limited, but there are a grocery store and a good variety of restaurants within one mile.

I have had the worst experience here. It all started two days ago at check-in. I found it frustrating that the front office closed before the scheduled 10 o'clock time listed on their website and on hotels.com. The after hours check-in person who helped us get into our unit was useless. He totally forgot to tell us that we needed to do a formal check in the next day. As we didn't know we needed to do that, Gladys, the front desk person, decided to cancel access to our room two days into our stay and announced exactly that to my son in front of all the other hotel guests. Nice way to embarrass us!

When I went to the front desk to do our formal check-in, Gladys announced that she wouldn't let us into our unit on the incorrect claim that we snuck into our unit via the housekeeping staff and that we needed to pay additional cost to their hotel because they weren't properly paid from Hotels.com. I insisted that she was incorrect and showed documentation as proof. She refused to listen to us. Thankfully Kayla, the supervisor, eventually stepped in and worked with us. While she was more helpful than Gladys she put the burden on us to contact Hotels.com and address the problem. In the end it turned out that the error with the payment had nothing to do with us and everything to do with Club Tahoe incorrectly processing the payment.

To make matters 10 times worse an elderly hotel guest decided to stick her nose into this whole debacle and harass me for defending my position. I felt strongly that the hotel should have told her to butt out. Another strike against them.

Now let's review the unit. Its spacious and in a nice wooded setting. Unfortunately, It's old and rundown with cobwebs hanging and a couple of spiders.

The fact that the hotel never did anything to make up for their many mistakes, obnoxious staff, and their inappropriate accusations of us sneaking into the hotel means I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

This used to be one of my favorite places to stay dating back 25+ years. It was one of the first "timeshare" resorts built in the area and offered both a high quality experience and a great community of long term owners and long term local employees. A place where "everybody knew your name." It unfortunately has been in a long obvious slide into decline for years now due to poor management and a questionable long term board of directors.

Great location.

Despite advertisements to the contrary....the tennis courts have been unusable for years. The bar is currently closed (the bartender walked out along with several other staff members not too long ago). The large kitchen & snack area is closed/vacant. The hot tub is closed as indicated by an unseemly yellow tape barrier. The "gym" is a collection of archaic equipment housed in a very old windowless former racquet ball court. The arcade games haven't been replaced/updated in generations. The BBQ's are taped up with ugly garbage bag like materials to preclude use apparently due to fire control mandates. There are no more planned group social activities/events/classes. Mid week restocking of supplies and any cleaning services for multiple week stays ended with Covid. The internet is slow, unreliable & necessitates frequent reconnections - never updated despite numerous complaints going back years. The new staff works for the out of state management company rather than for the owners, and it shows. It's often a challenge to even get someone to answer the front desk phone. The clubhouse has been closing early frequently despite a stated closing time of 10pm as employees simply check out and leave.

The units themselves are relatively spacious but are very dated circa 1980's and have similarly been neglected in terms of updating for years. A variety of patchwork repairs are obvious in most. The bedding in the second bedroom and loft is around 30 years old, if not more. Duct tape was holding refrigerator shelving in place and a $2 plastic trash can was placed in the living area for use rather than the apparently broken built in trash compactor during this stay.

Given a steady increase in fees every year it is difficult to understand the corresponding lack of virtually any visible improvements. There seems to be something going on behind the scenes which is not being communicated to owners. It's such a shame to see what was once a true gem of a place being deliberately driven into the ground.

Good:
The location is one block from the only grocery store, Raley's, two blocks from Starbucks and cafes, and ~4 blocks to the lake's beaches. Incline Village has amazing natural views, hiking, dining, golfing, disc golf, hotels, e-bike rentals, beautiful homes, etc.

Bad:
Club Tahoe itself has not been updated since the 70's. Seriously. It looks it. From the inside to the outside.

After almost 20 years, they replaced the standard dining room table and padded chairs with chairs with no padding, and a bench seat for one side, took out the carpet in the main area, replaced the couch and loveseat with an el shaped sectional that is like a giant piece of hard foam covered in the cheapest, most thin polyester material I've ever seen outside of H&M clothes. It is so uncomfortable that we had to prop all the pillows around us to sit with any comfort at all.

They did not replace anything else inside, obviously (see pics of contents literally purchased in the 70's), and when I complained multiple times about getting splinters on the dry and peeking stair rails on the porch, they simply glued other pieces of wood ON TOP of the old wood.

The steps are truly dangerous. I could not let my parents come, as I knew they would fall on the many unsafe steps and wobbly railings around the condo and property.

The guest shower is literally so tiny and the two shower heads so short that my hair would get wrapped around the shower heads every time I showered. See pics.

The beds are very old, and roll to the middle. The kitchen is stocked with items I so cheap I could bend them with my bare hands. See pics.

The third floor stairs are very, very narrow and it's a tiny spiral staircase to boot. It gets very hot in the summer, so you need a fan up there. There is only one fan provided for the entire three-story condo.

Also, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. We arrived on a very hot three-day weekend, and our one fan provided had a cord about 2 feet long. It was too short to plug in and also have it in front of any window., as there was no extension cord. We had to wait for days for an extension cord, with temperatures in the 90's the entire weekend.

Honestly, it's shelter. You go there to shower and change. Eat out, have fun, go to the beach, and that's it. Do not expect anything more than that. Again, the location is fabulous, and very walkable to any place you want to go in Incline Village.

I've been going to Club Tahoe as an RCI Exchange for about 30 years and it is perfect for a quiet, spacious and well maintained vacation location. It's centrally located between the South Shore, Tahoe City, Truckee, Carson City and Reno.
The units are well maintained and clean. Enjoy the Stella Blue Jays who inhabit the area and the fresh mountain air.

When I called to find out about WiFi speed, because I MUST work while on this site, I was told that it is a shared network and they could not help me with information . They forwarded me to 800-627-4955, where someone who had no idea what they were doing, read from a script that it was 1.5 MBPS upload and 5 MBPS download. I said that was unbelievable since I get 970 upload from Spectrum now. It had to be at least 500 mbps - Spectrum's lowest level of service. WTF. I now must go and by and configure a hotspot for this location. What a hassle. And they seemed amazed that I would have the nerve to ask about internet speed. OMG.

The property has a great location, and is adequately furnished. There were cosmetic issues that could be addressed like chipped paint and missing caulking. In addition, our smoke/ CO2 alarm sounded at 4 AM one night and when we called the after hours emergency line, were asked if we could just wait until the staff arrived at 730. Without our persistence, I do not think the staff would have called the fire department to check the air quality or the alarm.

Depending on your standards and your priorities, this place has pluses and minuses. Pluses included good size unit, spacious living space, nice amenities (pool, tennis courts, clubhouse), and convenient location. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the place but you can only do so much due to the outdated condition of the unit. Big minuses included disgustingly dirty carpet, floors and couch, old dated bedroom furniture and decor in general (i.e. walls of mirrors, built in dressers and bed stands falling apart) and smelly bedroom (pillows/mattress?).

Mt Rose is just up the hill but the Tahoe area is so rich in ski areas, just turn location on and search for ski areas near Club Tahoe, incline Village NV in your GPS map app and you should see 18. Calling the resort front desk will help. Diamond Peak is right in Incline Village. North Star is not far. Heavenly is in S Lake Tahoe while Squaw Valley and Alpine are on the way from Tahoe City to Truckee. In addition, there are cross country ski areas and you can strap on snow shoes anywhere. I have kayaked during the winter. You might want to call the Coast Guard about safety. They encourage adventure.

We stayed at Club Tahoe in June through RCI timeshare exchange so it is hard to believe that the price would be that high. But possibly it’s the time of year for the booking. June is considered low season.
