I checked into the El Cortez last Friday after making a reservation on Expedia. The price was excellent and I selected a vintage room above the casino. I wanted an experience that wasn't your typical, Disneyfied Strip hotel. Cool. Unfortunately, when I arrived early on Friday afternoon, I was told that all the vintage rooms had been taken. Strike one....

Hello-We do apologize that you did not get the Vintage room you had originally booked. The pavilion rooms are considered an upgrade since they have the flat screen TV’s, refrigerator and are a little larger than the Vintage rooms. We would like to make sure the billing on your account is correct. Expedia would need to do the refund. We...

Room was small and the bathroom was not clean. It was a regular king bed room. Overall, it was the bare minimum for a business traveler. Casino appears to cater to locals and older gamblers. Easy walk to Fremont street experience, which was nice. Also can walk to some box car based shopping mall, which seems geared to kids (playground...

We forwarded your information to our new Executive Housekeeper. We are doing some additional training with our housekeeping staff to make sure the rooms are of quality standard. Our rooms are set up more for the leisure traveler rather than the business traveler. We do have a large local base for our casino, many which have been coming to the...

We stayed in the Cabana Suites, which are completely separate from the main hotel. The decor is a little cheesy (lime green walls and white leather headboard anyone?) but hey it's Vegas. We ate and gambled elsewhere so couldn't comment on the restaurants and casino. The room was clean, the bathroom had a good shower, and the staff were pleasant....

After a huge fight with our friends we decided to stay at another hotel and chose this one because of the price. I have to admit we were in for a suprise when we got to the room. It was very clean, nicely maintained, and spacious. We stayed in a non smoking room with 2 queen beds and had a...

I booked 2 nights with them. Paid in advance. This was for my daughter who was in town for a job interview. They insisted at 8PM that she use a credit card for a deposit. She didn't have that much money on her debit so she called me. I told the woman that I would pay the deposit with my...

We do apologize for our staff coming across as not caring. We do require the credit card deposit upon check-in even for prepaid reservations. We do not accept cash as a deposit. We state this on this on the third party websites to alert the guests in advance of our policies. Thank you

This place is a Vegas landmark. You should go walk around and check it out. Then go play elsewhere. As I mention all the time, I DO NOT BASE REVIEWS ON WINS AND LOSSES. The House always wins. Having said that, the dealers here are inexperienced and tend to make mistakes, especially on Baccarat. The limits are low, and the...

Our apologies, while we are in a constant training mode, we do attempt to monitor trainees and rectify errors as painlessly as possible. I assure you we also have very experienced dealers who seldom make mistakes, and provide a pleasurable and fun gaming experience. While I feel our table game comps are very competitive with the industry standards I will...

We decided to do an unplanned trip to Las Vegas for my Wife's 50th birthday. About the only place we could find a room at was the Cortez. Apparently there was an event called the EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) going on and rooms were pretty scarce. We booked a Junior Cabana Suite, a little pricier than usual because of the...

Nice casino with good gambling. Clean, safe, beautiful rooms in the Tower. Good odds for gambling, good food in the restaurants. Walk down a block and you can experience Fremont St and all that it has to offer. If you want a change from the Strip, this is the place to go
