We arrived mega early & the room type we had reserved was available but with an early check in fee - usually places will let you in without extra charges, but it was before 10am and so i was happy to pay a surcharge to access the room for the rest of the day (and make use of the facilities). Check in was quick & easy enough, but the lady wasn't over friendly.
The casino is large & has all the usual extras you'd expect (buffets, cinema, restaurants etc) and we were entertained well enough throughout our stay. One of the main reasons I booked was the pool area looked nice (although it wasn't as good as the Aliante) and the rooms were large for the price. Our room overlooked the pool & the neighbouring golf course & was clean, spacious & had a seating area with a sofa, desk, etc. The AC worked fine & kept the room cool and we never heard any noise from any of our neighbours, which is always good!
We spent some time at the pool, choosing to go early on before it got busy, but we were able to get a cabana or other comfy seating no problem, and everything was nice and tidy/clean.
The food was decent and we opted for buffet eating most of the time (as was so cheap) but did also try a meal in the italian/pizza type restaurant, but have to say the quality wasn't much better than the buffet despite the higher prices. I guess that's the case in most casinos, but you're paying for a different eating experience by going into one of the restaurants and don't have to dine amongst the hungry hordes if you don't want to! (Separate reviews for the buffet to come).
I'd stay here again, as well cheap & cheerful, however I'd prefer to stay at the Aliante over this hotel if given the choice. A good off-strip option for those looking for a quieter Vegas experience though.
There were so many food options in the hotel that we never got tired of the food.
The beds were comfortable but the sheets are a bit stiff as they have been ironed. Who does that these days? Anyway, clean and pleasant room for a night stay.
The staff and the room were great, my major concern was the lack of restaurants to eat at. The awesome Italian restaurant Salvatore's is now closed forever, the Peng Zu Chinese restaurant is not open, the St. Tropez buffet is closed, the Game sports bar/restaurant is closed, The Subway is closed, the ice cream parlor is closed, and the Java Vegas coffee is closed ! also the bagel corner deli has Limited hours. They want to charge $35.00 for an early check-in even though a room is ready. The penny candy machines are now $.50 cents. No valet or Bell service. The Free WIFI is a joke and this is included in your B.S. " resort fee " We are done with this place !
For whatever reason the cigarette smell around the lobby seemed stronger than last time we stayed, not sure if the vents are not working or simply not being used.
They have a temperature check and wearing a mask is enforced. Overall a decent place to stay.
"The location is nice for Summerlin, but I would not want to stay here if you want to spend most of your time on the Strip."Read full review
