The Downtowner Boutique Hotel garners praise for its friendly staff and the added value of complimentary amenities, including parking and mini golf. Its location near Fremont Street makes it a hit for those seeking walkability to downtown attractions. While guests appreciate the clean and cozy rooms, some have raised concerns about street noise and dated features. Nonetheless, the hotel's affordability and family-friendly retro atmosphere, coupled with its cleanliness, make it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers.

I would be grounded in LV due to an airline and global IT issue, I panicked; I would be in LV for another 3 days and not for pleasure. My wife helped me look for hotels in the area and there was very little availability. She told me about The Downtowner near Fremont St. I was excited about.

We booked it and a few hours later I checked in. The process was VERY smooth and the room, location, amenities, and vibe were great. I thank the staff for being prepared for the millions of people grounded for days, as well as for having such a nice motel near a great location in downtown LV.

Stay at the Downtowner for business, pleasure, and all other reasons while in LV.

As guest who has stayed at this property multiple times and has stayed at most properties in Las Vegas, The Downtowner is in my opinion the only Downtown Las Vegas accommodation dedicated exclusively to delivering happiness.

The Downtowner is a comprehensive property that features FREE parking, complimentary coffee, a pool, fitness center, putt putt golf, bar and more!

The Downtowner is located Downtown Las Vegas, East of Fremont, the most popular LEGIT area of Vegas—the casinos, the restaurants, hotels, rental cars, shows, putt putt golf courses, activities, events, shopping, nightclubs and more al within footsteps of your amazing and clean room.

The staff at The Downtowner is nothing short of WOW! Checking in is a breeze and they always greet me with a smile. I feel like Ive known them even though Ive usually never met them as I check in/out at different times. They handle everything about your stay with a giant smile and really make you feel welcome. My last stay I had to print some documents and they totes did it for FREE! I was blown away.

The rooms are clean and decorated in faux mid century furniture. I hosted a business meeting during my last stay and the size of the room coupled with the in room desk was nothing short of spectacular.

I see some reviews in which people complain about the other guests. YOU are in Vegas which is a 24 hour city so if YOU think people should be in bed by a time that YOU deem appropriate then YOU should bring earplugs or do whatever YOU need.

Self empowerment!

Ive been a returning guest and I will continue to patronize The Downtowner as I return to Vegas almost monthly. Hats off! Bravo! A big round of applause to The Downtowner Las Vegas and its caring staff. A+++

Last minute I needed to find a hotel in the middle of the night due to domestic issues and this place was very affordable despite it being a weekend which was awesome they were quick to get into a room and despite it being a non-smoking Hotel the hotel staff had taken notice I was a smoker and gave me a room on the 1st floor around the outside of the building so i could be near the sidewalk without so I didn't have to walk through the entire hotel to get outside every time I wanted to smoke. Every morning housekeeping would wait to check on my needs until they saw me come out for my morning coffee and smoke rather than bothering me before I was awake. Everyone was so polite, thoughtful, seeming to genuinely care about how i was doing each day, all of the ladies here made me feel like family, i felt safe, protected, looked out for and comfortable immediately which is exactly what i needed in a time of crisis. I felt like i was home. Ive been here 12 days now and will be checking out in the morning and can honestly say i will miss being here. Downtowner is a home away from home!

Dee and the rest of the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and just 2 blocks from Freemont Street, you couldn't ask for a better location. I like staying in this location better than the strip with so many economical dining options as well as a vendor that will pick up your laundry which is a bonus for a business traveler like me. Thank you for your hospitality! 5 Stars!

The downtowner was perfect for our one night stay. My partner and I had stayed at the el Cortez a few years ago and it hasn’t changed; cigarette smoke, smoke and smoke. The downtowner is next door, smoke free, has quiet time in the late hours and the beds are comfy!
I love the the atmosphere and hearing my favorite song tadow, upon entering their front door where you check in at the beautifully, clean and kickback bar, I would stay here every time I visit Vegas❤️
Thank you to the staff who made our visit so easy🙏🏼

The moment my wife and I walked inside we felt comfortable and was greeted with a smile from front desk young lady.

The Downtowner is a No frills Hotel.. you're not paying for things your not using. It's a few blocks from Fremont Street, and all you're wanting to do is enjoy the art district scenery, and Fremont then why would you need any else but a comfortable bed in a clean room (covid clean), shower, toilet, TV and enough closet space for luggage. Just sleep, show and explore!

And if there's any types of problems/issues with anything just call (use your personal phone) or text the front desk and they will immediately handle the situation.

Pet lovers - Unfortunately they're not allowed. But that's okay, sometimes we pet parents need a break from them too. lol.

Hope y'all enjoy your stay here too...

Reminiscent of Jim Crow but I couldn't find the Confederate Flag anywhere.

I was disgusted and pretty damn frustrated with the Downtowner Boutique Hotel's discriminatory and illegal policies and practices.

I made a reservation online with the Downtowner through Hotels.com (Expedia) thinking that it would be a decent place to lodge for the evening and interesting as I have not yet stayed there. I always appreciated it's colorful nature and what appears to be pretty nice interior design and renovation for a lesser-known to pretty much unheard of property in the Las Vegas downtown area.

I arrived to the property shortly after making my reservation and approached front desk / bar area and was promptly met with verbal indifference and very obvious physical exasperation from the front desk employee (Adyen) who made me to feel as though I were without any importance and appeared to be considering possibly not giving me the time of day at all.

Finally she had asked me for my I.D. to check in and immediately told me that I would not be allowed to stay there because I was a local Nevada resident. (In disregard of federal fair housing laws) and offered to book me at a different property (GoldSpike) ..

I was a bit surprised at the situation and I certainly didnt want to stay somewhere I hadnt wanted to or already paid for in the first place. Then Adyen (I'm assuming is her name, only thing I could find on the paperwork) proceeded to tell me that this policy was listed on both their website and on hotels.com which is entirely false, it was not on either.

She refused to properly cancel the reservation and refund me in full which had forced me to deal with support at hotels.com and I had to wait nearly a week for the funds to be returned to my account on top of having to make a reservation elsewhere at the cost of nearly $100 .. Thank God I had it and was able too but on any other day that might not have been the case.

In summation, I was lied to, discriminated against and did not receive the service which had paid for entirely defrauding me in the agreement that we had voluntarily entered upon with the third-party hotels.com

I would never recommend staying at this property and each and every time I hear it mentioned I will tell this story as is and recommend avoiding The Downtowner with extreme prejudice.

Loved my time here. Free putt-putt golf, parking, gym and Wifi. Staff is helpful, particularly Lesley, and are always at the bar ready to serve a drink, offer directions or help you with any issues in your room. They certainly don't deserve 3.5 stars when you consider how much you're paying for. Would definitely stay here again

The reviews I’ve only seen her recently because each guest room to see if you dream check out if they give the hotel a FaceTime with you the moment we pulled up to the mountain, we have a Toppers pass it to me I’ll be homeless and that really set the context for the first day. And air-conditioning is working in the courtyard was super noisy at night if you like the smell of urine and are OK with staying in a really cheap place, the downtowner is for you. Again, don’t trust the recent reviews.
