Horseshoe Las Vegas stands out for its prime Strip location, which guests have called out as highly accessible to nearby attractions. However, the hotel's atmosphere and rooms often fall short of expectations, with many travelers describing them as outdated and in need of renovation. While the spaciousness of the rooms is acknowledged, issues with cleanliness and room amenities have been a concern.
Guests have criticized the service, finding the staff's attitude unprofessional and detracting from the overall experience. Moreover, the additional fees and high costs lead to a perception of poor value among visitors.

Detailed Reviews

Arrived at The Horseshoe late after a long flight and was delighted with the self check in machines and no queue. We checked in, upgraded our room, arranged late check out (only had option until 2pm and paid resort fees all with some clicks of a button and we had our room keys within a few minutes. (To check out we only had to post keys in a key box and we were gone.) Such a good service. The lobby and casino floor was nice.
The room could have been better, it was large and the bed was clean and comfortable, there was a seating area and the bathroom seemed modern but the windows and carpet and curtains were disgusting. No kettle, but there's a fridge, iron, hairdryer and safe. I was cold through the night too and there was no extra blankets.
The sheets were changed each day and our towels changed which was nice but we didn't stay long in the room only averaging around six hours sleep a night so it didn't ruin my time in vegas staying there and due to its fabulous location I would even stay again.
There's a CVS a short walk away to get your cheap beers in to drink before you go out or fill up a plastic cup and take out with you as some beers on the strip were 15-20 dollars each. There's a nice arcade downstairs with a food court and access to the pool (which was closed our whole stay) gym and monorail. Heading up some escalators from the casino you can make your way to bazar shops with some really cool bars and also through the casino you can walk into Paris hotel with a nice sports bar just on the side. The bell desk guys will keep your bags if you need to check out early and there's a constant flow of taxis out the front however there's a Uber pick up point at the south entrance and Ubers are cheaper by quite a lot.
Overall, the hotel doesn't pride itself on cleanliness but it had amazing links to explore the strip and I only won gambling on the machines in the horseshoe and we had a nice view of the observation wheel and the sphere.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was for a Vegas hotel. The room was clean, good storage and lighting, a mini fridge, and even had a comfy chair with a lamp. The bathroom had a pull-out magnifying mirror, and even though I was on the 17th floor, the water pressure was great and got hot very fast. Also, the room was totally quiet. The thermostat worked, which was fortunate because the rest of the hotel was freezing cold. I did the kiosk cgeck in, which worked well and saved standing in a long line. However, like all of the hotels, there is no coffeemaker in the room, and a coffee in the lobby is $9!

First day we arrived checked in at the front desk went up to our room had to use the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush called the front desk to let them know they said the water was off…didn't tell us when we checked in!! Talked to a few other visitors staying there said they have been having water issues off an on.
Paid an early check in fee of $51 & room was dirty.. hair was still in the shower looked like someone had just finished taking a shower.. floors had something spilt on them that was left from previous person so floors were not mopped..
At 4am the alarm went off the most annoying alarm ive ever heard in my life & they said there was no emergency then it went off again at 6am & they said there was no emergency.
Also the food in the hotel was terrible I've never wasted so much food until now.
To be such a high rated hotel it definitely didn't seem like it and for my first visit ever to vegas was not pleased.
Hate to say it enjoyed the experience to an extent but this will be my first and last time!

Checking was OK, we came in very late for a trade show.
Rooms were OK. Tons of scuffs and scratches from vacuums on the toilets and walls, to torn upholstery on the chairs. Entire room VERY dusty.
Used gum on the water cup from previous guest (ick)
Bathroom clean under black light. Bed clean under black light but with stains on sheets.
No hot water two days in a row and not noice. Minimal comp (other Caesar's hotels would have comped the entire room rate) we only got $50 for not having a shower and having to do business for two days in a row with cold sink baths.
When the show did work the door didn't have a sweep at the bottom and water poured out as it ran down the door, we had to use most of our towels to keep the floor dry enough to be safe from slipping.
Diamond checkin was always understaffed and many Diamond and 7 Stars guests went to the main checkin to get faster service.

Stated at the Horseshoe with a friend while on a vacation to Vegas, we stayed here for 6days. First impressions where good, hotel reception area was clean & fresh, busy and appeared to be a good atmosphere.
We arrived around 22.30, check in line wasn't too long. Upon check-in we was greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in. Do bare in mind they are resort fees and a security deposit to pay on check in.
We was in Room 704, upon arrival in room first impressions where good. Huge room great size, bathroom also bigger than average, beds big and comfortable, and no external noise.
Worth noting no shower gel was provided and we had an iron, but no ironing board? Otherwise all ok plenty of towels in bathroom (more than average). I wouldn't bother putting a towel on the floor by the shower..we did it once and the towel was soaked! better off just letting the overspill water run down the floor into the bathroom floor drain (which was close to shower anyway).
Air con sounded like a boeing 737 jet engine very loud, so we switched it off at night. They was also a safe in the room which was free to use. Room itself was just lit by sidelights (lamps), we scrambled around trying to find the light switches when we arrived, only to find they was none.
Plenty of power outlets to charge devices in room however some of the USB charging points didn't work. WiFi worked fine all around hotel.
Cleaning - room was only cleaned on our first 3 days. We enquired about the room cleaning schedule as we expected it to be cleaned daily, they assured us it would be cleaned again but it wasn't.
In fairness I slept well every night with no disruptions (providing the room air con was off)
Over the days we start to notice certain parts of the room looking tired and in need of some attention to detail (stained carpet, dust, dirty windows) but overall all was generally ok.
Hotel is massive has a huge casino, it's very busy and location wise it's very central on the strip, with bar and cafe areas inside too.
Checkout on us last day was 11am and the team was happy to hold our bags until out late flight back to the UK.
Overall good no complaints. Vegas is a great city

We stayed at the Horseshoe on the 18th floor for over a week November 2023 in a resort room non smoking two queen beds that was advertised as a renovated room. This is totally misleading!!!! It must be years and years since they were renovated as they have not be maintained or deep cleaned. The room was dirty, wallpaper and furniture stained. There was tape hanging down from the wall which remained there for the full time of our stay. Electrical socket loose off the wall. Layers of dust everywhere. You could write in the dirt "clean me". The carpet was ingrained with dirt and dirtied your socks. The air conditioning vents were dirty and churned out dust all day. The shower head needed cleaning. I reviewed the Nevada state law and these rooms need inspecting. The housekeeping staff are very nice, but they only have time to do the basics, change towels etc. We spoke to the desk whose only offer was to try to get us to pay more money for another type of resort room. So I got some antiseptic wipes, wore slippers and tried to reduce the risks to our health. The corridors carpet is rippled and worn so presents a tripping hazard. Minimal lifts available.
I have stayed at over eight different hotels in Las Vegas over 12 years and this has been the worse maintained and dirtiest room I have stayed in. It seems the best rooms that were at the Bally's now the Horseshoe have been given to the Paris hotel Versaille tower and the dirty unmaintained rooms have been left at the Horseshoe. The icing on the cake was the taxi con operating at the Horsehoe - not obtaining taxis and trying to get us to use 45 and 65 dollar transport to the airport. I will be posting another review with photos of the room. Suggestion to owner, general manager and desk staff to actually go and stay in a room. See if you would even spend a night or an hour in a dirty unmaintained resort room.
Please do not stay here until they make improvements so people can stay in a clean well maintained room. They should refund everybody who has had to stay in these rooms as a goodwill gesture as their description of the rooms is totally misleading. I just wish I hadn't believed the description and fallen for it. Shame on you. Treating people with this level of disrespect.

I recently stayed at the Horseshoe Casino and loved the location, but I feel the hotel needs more than just a name change. Unfortunately, the premium room we paid extra for was disappointing. The furniture looked dated and had clearly been painted over multiple times, which made the room feel far from "premium." The bathroom also needs serious remodeling and a thorough cleaning.
Service was another letdown. The check-in kiosks weren’t working, and there weren’t enough staff available to assist, which led to unnecessary delays. Despite requesting housekeeping, we didn’t see anyone during our entire three-night stay. The towels were in terrible condition—old, worn out, and falling apart.
For a property that’s part of Caesar’s, I expected much better. It feels like the hotel is cutting corners on maintenance and staffing, and it’s hurting the overall guest experience. I hope they invest in improvements soon because the location deserves a much better hotel

I regret to share a disappointing experience with my recent stay at this hotel, especially considering the additional payment I made for an upgrade. Upon entering the room, I was dismayed to find it in a state of disarray. The remote control was visibly held together with sellotape and coated in crumbs, while the carpet exhibited unsightly white marks. Furthermore, there were noticeable scrapes on the minibar door and walls.
Having a background in hospitality and catering, I understand the challenges that can arise, but the extent of the issues in this room compelled me to voice my concerns. I promptly approached the reception to convey my dissatisfaction, emphasising that I had chosen to treat myself to an upgrade. Regrettably, my concerns were met with indifference; the staff did not seem to care about the condition of the room.
The culmination of my discontent occurred when I woke up after a restless night of itching, only to discover dry blood stains on the wall that I had overlooked the previous night due to jetlag. Fortunately, the morning receptionist proved to be more helpful and facilitated my relocation to a different room. However, the overall attitude of the hotel management remained unapologetically dismissive.
I am uncertain if the lack of concern is indicative of a broader trend in Vegas hospitality or specific to this establishment, the Horseshoe. Additionally, the entrance did not provide a sense of safety, prompting me to opt for walking in and out of the neighbouring Paris hotel instead. In light of these issues, I strongly advise prospective travellers to consider spending their money elsewhere, as the overall experience failed to meet even the most basic expectations of cleanliness and customer service.

We are staying in Las Vegas for a week for a convention. We are staying at the Horseshoe because all the convention rooms at Paris were booked. We have stayed in Las Vegas many times. At Aria, the Venetian and Trump at various times of year for various rates. We have been pretty disappointed s far and have 5 days left. We checked in and asked if we could have a view of the sphere. They explained it was extra per night, which is fair and we decided to go with the room they had already assigned us. We probably Gould have paid the extra. We got to the room and had almost totally unpacked and my husband, who is 6 foot 3, stepped into the bathroom and realized it was all handicap accessible. It would not work for his height, plus we were going to be here a week and it was not a great bathroom since we aren’t handicapped. He went downstairs and got another room, which took about 20minutes. Our new room was fine, albeit a bit worn. The cabinet door to the refrigerator was only on one hinge and we could not open the drawers without it falling open. We told the front desk about the issue this morning and the sent someone up to fix it, but when we arrived back in our room this evening, they had just taken the entire door off, which was fine, but unsightly. Plus, we went into the bathroom to discover the toilet fully toilet paper and wasn’t flushed, so we figured they must have used it. Just not a great experience so far and the rooms are pretty run down.

Where do I begin. Check in was a joke. Was offered a room upgrade for 25 a night dmfunny thing is that it was for a king room that I supposedly reserved. I paid $50 dollars more for the duration of the stay than original reservation for a downgraded room. On the first night we had a random housekeeping knock at 10:30 PM without a request. Pretty sure someone was trying to pull a room invasion there. There is no way to check what you current bill is by design I assume so when you check out at 5 am there is no one to a rgue with so you accept it cause you don't want to fight anymore. The "Blu Pool" is the biggest joke in Vegas. It's only open Friday and Saturday and also the deep end is open. This is the only reason I picked this place. Don't stay here you will regret every minute. Unless you like paying more for less than you reserved, rude service, and living in constant disappointment.

I believe the security hold is $50 per night. I don’t think there is a charge for the housekeeping, but I’m sure it’s part of the “Resort” fee.
Didn't notice a room service menu on my stay there. It's not something that I would use.
