My definition of a suite is, I guess, different than the El Cortez's definition. To Merriam-Webster a suite is "a group of rooms". To Dictionary . com a suite is "a connected series of rooms". To the Oxford Dictionaries a suite is "a set of rooms". So imagine my surprise when my "junior suite" at the El Cortez Cabana Suites...

I took a chance and stayed in downtown Vegas for the 1st time. Normally, I prefer staying on the strip because everything is within walking distance but wanted a different experience and seems that downtown has an abundance of highly rated eats and cocktail bars when I searched online. A friend recommended El Cortez Cabana Suites and I'm glad that...

Got to las vegas and had easy check in. Parking was easy and convenient. Slept very well in junior suite beds were comfortable. Front desk and outside guards very polite and overall good stay for 4 days. Liked pricing too.

The Cabana suites are a block away from Fremont Street and just across the street from the main El Cortez hotel and casino. The rooms are huge, clean, and cute. And so quiet. We were in the back room 6308 and you could not hear any night club or party noise but it was all going on like crazy for...

Showed up before noon and asked if early check in was available. The gentlemen that helped me was able to give me early check in at no extra cost. The Cabana suites are across the road from the actual hotel and are huge (the Superior queen suite). The casino itself is so much cheaper than the strip. you can play...

Rooms here are small but updated and clean. Big enough for 2 of us but you won't be partying in the rooms. Only complaint was there is no view on the first floor. Rooms are quiet and off the main road. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was a little tight but access to...

The property is clean and quiet and it is a completely seperate builiding from the actual El Cortez hotel and casino. The building is located across the street from the actual El Coretz. Great location for downtown Las Vegas, The Fremont...

I keep an eye on Fremont Street. It used to be pretty run down. It seems to be having some life to the west, with several trendy bars and restaurants. At the end of the block is the El Cortez. I am a gambler and they have single deck 3:2 blackjack. They have plenty of tables open. They have good...

I had never been to Vegas before and wanted to see as much as possible. My husband and I decided to spend our first night checking out Old Town, Freemont East area and got a room here. We absolutely LOVED The Cabana Suites. I was initially concerned about the space of the room after watching some YouTube videos but our...

My husband and I went to Vegas got our 1 year anniversary and decided to stay off of the beaten path. What a delightful surprise. Not only is the El Cortez the oldest hotel on Fremont, (which some people cautioned me against), it was beautifully redone. The new Cabana Suites are convenient, quant and just really cool. Great customer service. Our...
