My husband and I went to Vegas got our 1 year anniversary and decided to stay off of the beaten path. What a delightful surprise. Not only is the El Cortez the oldest hotel on Fremont, (which some people cautioned me against), it was beautifully redone. The new Cabana Suites are convenient, quant and just really cool. Great customer service. Our...

This is my third time staying at the El Cortez Cabana Suites. I just needed a Friday night Downtown before moving on to a South Strip timeshare and then the Cosmopolitan. Check in was fast and easy. Security Guard/doorman was always at the door of the Cabana Suites building. Room was clean, fridge was working, everything was in working order....

My boyfriend and I stayed in a Junior Cabana Suite with a King bed (these rooms are located in a separate building across the street from the main hotel and casino). I like that the building had a security guard out front 24/7, and you had to swipe your room key to get into the building. Our room included a...

We always stay in the tower but had a chance to get a Cabana Suite this time. Wow, what a difference. Rooms are the right size, clean, very modern. Just far enough away from the Fremont noise but not to far, only a three minute walk and you are in the middle of the action.

My hubby and I stay here often when we want to party downtown for a long weekend. We like the funky remodel, the beds are super comfy and the rooms are way quieter than the casino tower rooms. Large showers and mini fridges are a big bonus too. We highly recommend and I actually just got done booking our next...

This was my first time staying off strip so I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Cabana Suites are in a building of the own. The design popped. the lobby and rooms are very chic. Clean with great service. Walking distance from Fremont St. Loved every minute of my stay. I would recommend...

We were looking for a cost effective place to stay downtown and El Cortez is what we found! It has allot of history and is shows in the building (but I'm glad they didn't change it to "modernize" and keep it original) The staff has been polite and helpful, our room is nice and pretty big. There's a restaurant inside...

We stayed at the El Cortez last week and it was great!! I booked a vintage room because I wanted the "old Vegas" overall experience. We arrived about 9:00Pm and check in was a breeze. The room was just as I expected after reading so many reviews (both good and bad) It was small, clean, and quiet. Exactly what we...

Wife and I stayed here for a week Sept 2016. Had an above average sized room with couch and comfy chair. Queen bed was super comfy and clean. If you're considering staying downtown while in vegas, we would suggest considering the Cortez due to its excellent location to Freemont and other downtown amenities but if you need a modern room...

My wife and I stayed here while I was working on a project in Las Vegas. If you travel to Vegas often (or have a wife from there like I do) you probably do not want to stay on the strip; you want something a but more authentic. This location lets you get to a lot of local favorites quickly...
