I was very surprised that this hotel is currently owned by MGM. When you drive up to the front it looks like the 60's (all you need is some Senontra blaring from the speakers of a Cadillac). The casino was nice and no smell of smoke; probably because nobody was really in there. When we booked the room, we thought we had requested a tower room but instead went very CHEAP and booked a manor room. We did have an opportunity to upgrade our room for $20 a day, but the hubby declined. The elevator looked like a service elevator with lots of graffiti carved into the 1970's lite oak wood paneling. This room was like staying a dirty old 'rent an hour' motel room. The walls had water stains from the ceiling to the wallpaper boarder. The carpet was very dirty, stained, and raggedy. Surprisingly, the beds were comfortable and clean. The room was advertised with a flat screen TV...more like a flat screen tube TV. (Do they even make these TVs still?) Then there was the bathroom. Yuck, yuck, double yuck! The tub was a showe/tub combo. The porcelain of the tub was cracked. Tile looked dirty. I guess MGM thought if they put fancy bathroom amenities it will spruce it up. 😁 The towels were thin and not very white. I think they were the retired towels they wanted to throw away from the tower rooms. In the last day my husband was poked by a carpet rack object between the bathroom and the "dressing" area. He notified the hotel desk and all he got was an apology. We now have a 50 copy for a doctor visit and lab work to make sure he didn't catch anything contagious. Tha k goodness I always wear my slippers when traveling. The walls are very thin. A group of men stayed next door and in the wee early mornings you could hear about their night of fun. The floors creaked and I'm sure the people below us could hear our footsteps. I wouldn't consider staying at Circus Circus again; as you get what you pay for.…
It stinks weird people around and a pack of little twizzlers $6.98 expensive and awful and Outdated so don’t go to any hotel like this ones even if ur on a budget so I recommend staying in another hotel
When I booked this through hotels.com I honestly don't remember it saying I'd be living in the manor. When I walked into the building it looked like something left over from the 60s and 70s. My key card didn't work the first 4 times but on the 5th it finally did. I opened the door and I was flabbergasted. My god! Do they not care?! It was old, a little dusty and smelled like a sewage back up. The tv, while flatscreen, did not work very well. Few channels and they were mostly snowy. Every time you changed the channel it would stay on that channel for a few minutes before changing back to the hotel prevue channel by itself. I wouldn't say that the area I felt unsafe but I did feel very isolated. I don't know what the tower rooms look like but one thing is for sure, I'm never going to stay at the manor motor lodge ever again.…
I never write reviews, but feel the need to warn fellow travelers about this hotel. It is dirty, old and the area is unsafe. Please don't stay here. Live at any other motel and save money because the amenities will be the same and will cost half the price of this hotel.
This hotel was recommended by a friend and on paper looked great. I wasn’t aware that it was a budget hotel but that’s fine as I’ve stayed in lots of budget hotels between Chicago and Vegas over the last few weeks. However I must say that this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. So the elevator in our building didn’t work, the key cards for the rooms worked every 3 or 4 times, the rooms where very dated, the tv was very old and the remote didn’t work so we had no tv for 2 days. There was what seemed to be a bullet hole in the headboard, the shower was too weak, it wasn’t very clean. We weren’t aware that the manor rooms weren’t attached to the main hotel as it didn’t say anything when booking. It didn’t feel altogether safe outside whilst walking around the hotel complex. The casino was ok but dealers weren’t very friendly and seemed annoyed if you asked them any questions. To be fair most staff looked like they didn’t want to be there or simply were unhelpful. One guy we asked said he had no idea where the exits were as he only started 5 days ago. In summary I would never stay in this hotel even in the main building as the whole experience has put me right off. It’s definitely time to knock this down and build a new one.…
