the best rooms and people for the price. not snooty like the other high end casinos. because it's attached to mandalay bay, you get the best casino, a food court and lots of restaurant choices. the hotel itself is very elegant and services are fast and efficient.
My husband and I go to Vegas at least once a year, and we try to stay at different hotels each time, leaning toward suites whenever possible. This was our fist stay at Delano. We got an excellent room rate so sprung for the VIP Arrival Experience which was DELIGHTFUL! This was to celebrate our anniversary so, why not? We were met in the baggage are by a uniformed limo driver and quickly arrived at the hotel, were we were greeted by a very nice host. She welcomed us by name, gave us our itinerary and gave us a tour of the lobby area. The hotel is like a quiet oasis in bustling Vegas with the lobby decorated in a very natural, woodsy motif. The suites are in monochrome - white/gray and black - which I was not sure I would like but was actually so relaxing. There is a wet bar type area - not a full kitchen. Both the bedroom and living room have large windows. There is 1.5 baths in the king suite which was nice. Frankly, everything was as close to perfect as I've seen in Vegas. Furniture/carpets/bath all in perfect condition. The rooms were QUIET - NO NOISE AT ALL from the outside or from the hallways. Halls, elevators, everything is pristine. The VIP package included access to the 1st floor lounge for coffee and cold drinks, which was nice. The lobby even provided an assortment of board games to play! When have you ever seen THAT in Vegas? There is no casino attached to the hotel but it is a short walk to Mandalay Bay and all the excitement you could want. It is on the very far end of the strip so be prepared to walk to the Mandalay Bay tram to Excaliber and Luxor to access the rest of the strip. It was one of my top two Vegas properties and we would definitely go back!…
Woke up (5am) to room smelling like raw sewage making us sick to our stomachs and we have to work in a few hrs at the convention 😞 called desk and received no info on the problem or if its a health concern😐
Stayed at Mandalay Bay / Delano because of the Michael Jackson: One show. Loved the show, and dinner at Libertine Social. Everything else was very much below my expectations of this place!! Heavy smell of cigarette smoke throughout, no towels or soap in room at check-in, and the cost of in-room coffee...$6/cup??
Two reasons; 1. We came to hotel around noon, they told us room is not ready. We wait till 3 pm in the lobby. It was same last year too, we wait at lobby 7 hours. 2. Your desk desk employees are very rude. At the check in and also at the check out. When we stay at room, I check stuff from refrigerator, and I put it back. I didnt drink anything. When we check out, I saw some charges from mini bar. I told her we didnt drink anything. She start to argue with us "Yes, you drink, because items are moved from location", after argument, finally she take off charges. Also, she said, We will send some to room, we will find out, if you drink we will charge you plus $50 fine. You guys must trust your client, why should we lie to you guys. If we use mini bar, you guys have my credit card, you guys can charge anytime. She argued with me front of my girlfriend and make me down for one bottle water. …
"The west view is quieter because you are not facing the airport. Be aware you are on the extreme South Side of the "Strip.""Read full review
