The Cromwell hotel garners mixed reviews, with its prime Strip location being the only consistent praise among guests. Many reviewers are disappointed with the amenities, citing cleanliness and maintenance issues, including limited pool access. The best location on the strip without being in a huge impersonal hotel
Excellent check in. Friendly and No queues. All done in 5 mins
Small hotel so room to street in 5 mins not 25 mins like Bellagio etc
Room size was great. 2 big very comfortable beds dressing mirror as well as full size mirror huge shower and plenty of towels. Tv was massive with lots of free channels. Rooms are not too dark as some have said and decor is kind of shabby chic but nicer in a way than the usual clinical hotel room. We loved it. Few scuff marks here and there but it added to it's charm and best of all everywhere was very clean.
Casino was small and darkish and felt more intimate than large bright noisy others we visited. Much calmer and Bethany was the best and friendliest waitress exer encountered in any casino.
Our flight home wasn't until late so they let us keep our room key to access Caesar's pools and then we used the gym shower later at no extra charge which was a bonus.
Only small downside was the rooftop pool which doesn't belong to hotel.
Although hotel guests can use it for free from 11am weekdays you cannot use the beds and can only sit at the bar for free. To use the sunloungers there is a minimum charge of $100 and $10 towel rental. They were not very friendly and we couldn't take our bottles of water in so we didn't bother. Go across the road literally a 5min walk to Caesar's as Cromwell guests can use their pools for free. You get free towels and there is cold water to drink for free. We could take our own bottled water in as well and 4 gorgeous pools to choose from as well as loads of free sunbeds to use. Grest bar area with fab cocktails and some food. Caesar^s pools fab Drai^s pool not fab. The receptionists at the Cromwell need to make this info clearer to guests.
We visited several other more famous hotels and we were so glad we chose the Cromwell as it was so clean and quiet and just so much nicer.
If you want to share your hotel with thousands of guests and tourists and take 25mins to get from lobby to room then book Bellagio or Caesar's or Venetian but if you want best location and clean and quiet then go for Cromwell. Wouldn't stay anywhere else even if rooms are a bit shabby chic it is a great hotel.

So check in with Adoria was not nice, she was very unwelcoming, unfriendly, coming off as very rude, gave us no information about the hotel or how to get to our room. Just looked annoyed and did'nt care about us! Thankfully the next day had a lovely supervisor at reception called Gavin who helped us with everything, was amazing, friendly, so helpful and could'nt do enough for us. Thankyou Gavin! Apparently management are aware of Adoria's attitude and are dealing with it! They need to, it really gives a bad first impression of the hotel! to be fair did'nt see her the rest of our stay so hope she's gone!!
The rooms are nice and plush, i like the style of them. Strong smell of bleach when we checked in so they need to look at that but nice and clean. Shower very good, bed very comfy. has a safe, hairdryer and iron with an ironing board so is all good. the fridge is full of drinks and stuff which is such a shame as would've been lovely to have a fridge you could put water and breakfast stuff in. I would recommend the hotel do this as no one drinks the expensive drinks anyway!
The fact the pool was not owned by the hotel and you had to pay hundreds of dollars for a cabana to go was very disappointing as one of the big reasons choose to go there was the pool! you can go between 11am-12pm for free once a day. but we never managed to get there! they really need to put this on everywhere you can book the hotel as is a real negative! you can go to flamingo and ceasers pool but not the same!
It's a nice small hotel which we preferred, bar staff very nice, great location even though a bit noisy. Would've stayed again its just the pool!

Right from the get-go Michelle got my vacation off to a wonderful start. We arrived quite early in the morning with a check in reservation in the early evening. She was extremely professional, courteous and seem to use all her resources to make our stay on a level more than pleasant. I felt superb leaving her presence. Other than not getting contacted for the early check-in (which Michelle waived the fee) & the fridge being packed with items that Cromwell wanted to sell. (Hopefully next time they can take that stuff out for us so we can put our stuff in there) we loved the room with it's great view of the strip, how clean almost everything was throughout the hotel/casino & the location. At checking out Michelle was there to greet us and waved the resort fee for my birthday which ended up being the clincher of me gambling at the Cromwell later that day. $800 profit for the Cromwell. Thanks again everybody especially you Michelle.

The hotel was in a great location. It is smaller casino but that was OK. The big negative was the front desk. (Customer Service) We checked in late upon arrival due to our flight. For some reason, the night shift canceled our 4 night reservation for a "no show". Even though the hotel was prepaid through a 3rd party. So the front desk reinstated the reservation for only 3 nights which we found out later. The front desk charged us an extra night (already prepaid), late check out (checked out 1 hour early) and for coffee (we brought our own pods after reading reviews). I questioned the extra charges but the front desk blew me off. After returning home, those charges were on my charge card. It took a few calls and proof of prepaid hotel. The Cromwell issued credits to make it right for all 3 issues. Our prepaid reservation should have never been canceled. My advice: bring your own coffee, do not pickup any items on dresser otherwise will be charged due to sensor and check your credit card statement.

We have been going to the Cromwell for several years now. We enjoy the casino and the staff of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location near all the other major strip hotels. Unfortunately, over the years the rooms have gotten old and outdated. They are very dark with very little exposure to the light which many people going to Las Vegas might enjoy. However, along with that they are usually dingy and sometimes a little dirty looking. There is no carpet in the rooms and the floors usually look dirty or not very fun to walk on in bare feet. For example, I stayed in room 533. The room has an overlook of the delivery area or a back alley and late on Saturday all you can hear or feel is the pounding of music coming from the club until it closes. The hotel gives you a white noise machine, but it has no USB ports for charging. There was one USB port on the console under the TV, but it didn’t work. When I pulled the console out to see if there was a plug there was a pile of garbage and dust that look like it had never been touched since the room was created. If anyone gets room 533, you can probably check there again and that pile of garbage will still be there. I almost guarantee it. The leather handles on the closets were a cool idea, but now they are, falling apart. My closet door handle fell off. Room 533 is a handicap accessible room apparently and the shower is about the size as a small closet. The shower heads are adjustable, which is good, but it is very tiny space if you are a full-size person. Also, the Cromwell charges a resort fee, which is about 40+ dollars a day which is true of all the hotels and casinos. They don’t provide anything extra in the rooms. The bottled water they have in the rooms are $10 each And they are smaller than the ones you can buy downstairs for seven dollars. I don’t think it would hurt to include a couple of the small water bottles for free in the room at that price. They basically charge you $40 a day and then try to get even more money from you with amenities in the room. It’s total BS. I’m gonna try to get my friends to stay somewhere else on our next trip and then we can just visit the Cromwell casino which is awesome.

Walking up to the hotel it seemed very nice, we paid a fee ($30) for an early check in and everything was quick and smooth. The room was well appointed with roomy showers and a great view of the strip. (Bellagio fountain was kitty corner). We wanted to head to the hotel pool but was unaware of the many rules and policies. The pool is actually a day club with blasting music and scantily clad patrons. (I get it.. it’s Vegas but there were many wardrobe malfunctions) Items not allowed to be carried in included water bottles, gum, eye drops, mints, towels, cologne and perfume, athletic gear and ribbed tanks. Purses and bags are inspected on the way in and everyone is wanded. All seating in the entire pool area must be reserved and cost $$$. Options for everyone else is standing in the pool, standing around the pool or waiting in line for a drink. As a patron of the hotel we did not have to pay the entrance fee or pay extra for a towel. We stayed at the Cromwell on a Saturday night where the club is open until 4am. We stayed out that night until 2am (late dinner after concert at The Sphere) and came back to the room completely exhausted. The entire building was shaking from the music from the club and I had one of the worst nights sleep with an early departure. In short, don’t stay here if you like to sleep or are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. If you’re 22 and don’t plan to sleep this may be a great option.

TLDR: Go to Paris or Flamingo/Linq instead

We've been to Vegas multiple times, and have always enjoyed walking through the Cromwell and gambling in the casino. There's a cozy yet cool atmosphere from the smaller hotel. When we booked our last trip we were excited to stay there; the costs were relatively better than the last times we had booked. Unfortunately, now we know why.

The sound proofing in the rooms is literally non-existent. You can hear every sound from both the hallways(even inside other rooms) and outside. We were particularly unlucky to have the buskers across the street point their amps directly at our window all day and night... Maybe it wasn't quite an upgrade to get strip view in this case, ha!

The room is good. They were definitely nicer years ago as everything shows a lot of wear and tear. A good size bathroom, with a large shower. Vanity desk. No mini fridge. Found it a little weird to have a 2 way mirror from the room into the shower...

Not sure how typical this is, but our wi-fi had issues the entire trip. The TV couldn't load at any time the 4 days we stayed. They called us in the morning and gave us just a 20 minute warning a tech would need to come into our room to work on it. The next day the bathroom sink flooded while we were out and had to have the drain replaced. After all of this the front desk was kind enough to knock 5$ off of their $62 resort fee... Maybe we could have been rude about it and gotten more but that's not our style.

Overall I don't see us ever staying here again. The location is still great, and the distance from the elevator to the strip is probably second to none, but the room build and finishing quality is low and the price is high. In the same (or better) price range head South and check out Paris. For similar quality at lower rates (that also has a pool that's not a club), head North to Flamingo/Linq.

This hotel is so far past it’s prime. It’s actually kind of sad considering what this place used to be.

It’s tired and worn down with a front desk staff (except for a couple of people) that don’t at all care.

Elevators

Good luck having both elevators working at the same time. There was only one elevator working during the entirety of my stay and nobody had any idea why both weren’t working.

Guest Rooms

Good luck finding a room that has everything in it, thats supposed to be there such as telephones, lamps, etc.. And it would require even more luck finding a room that doesn’t have a plumbing issues be it drainage back up or sewer smells.

Cleanliness of the rooms is another issue. Dust all over and hair in the bathrooms.

Valet Parking

There apparently is no rhyme or reason as to the hours of the valet parking. The valet parking attendants are super friendly, but they don’t staff enough of them to have it running with any consistency.

Front Desk

This is probably the weakest aspect of a hotel. There are two people that work Sunday evenings, they lead and an agent that are absolutely delightful and not like anybody else that works at the front desk at this hotel. The rest of them are devoid of personality, don’t care to actually do anything to help people to the point of being rude and then you have one manager that lies to cover up when she forgets to do things and another manager that doesn’t even have any idea what it means to resolve issues.

Casino

the casino is the only consistently good part of the hotel. Dealers are friendly, cocktail servers are friendly, pit bosses are friendly.

My husband and I travelled to Vegas on July 9th and stayed at the Cromwell.
When we first walked in the room, our initial impression was that it looked kinda cool but that it was very dark.
As we started to unpack and get settled we started noticing the filth and dirt. We had already had an issue with the staff at the front desk about our requested check out time, so we decided to stay and try to ignore. We were only staying 3 nights and we are not very particular normally. I had Lysol wipes and wiped all surfaces, we used towels to sit on and I kept everything in my suitcase. The filth on the wipes was horrible. It was gross and creepy.
The furniture has leather like handles which could not be sanitized. The sliding floor on the bathroom had so many handprints I doubt it had ever been wiped. The corners around the door and shower were nasty.
One smoke detector looked broken with no cover and the other had a disgusting mess on it, shown in pics.
There was a Kuerig coffee maker in the room, but no coffee, cups or cream and sugar.
Thankfully we read the sign on the fridge that said if you remove (remove, not consume) an item you will be charged and that if you use the fridge for personal use, you will be charged 50.00!
We had a small cooler so we were able to use that for leftovers and cold drinks.
The casino is ok but very small and dark.
The takeout restaurant charged 8.00 per plain coffee.
When we left, we had to wait while the bellman ran next door to the Flamingo to get us a taxi.
We were charged 50 per night service charge!
The only good thing was the rooftop pool. It was lovely, although we weren’t allowed to sit in the chairs with umbrellas unless we ordered a minimum of 100.00 food and alcohol! If you did not order the minimum, there was no service, the servers did not bring us anything, we had to go to the bar, not a big deal, but paying 23.00 for a very small plastic glass of margarita, it might have been nice to have one of the many servers bring it to us.
We had to show ID and had our bags checked upon entering.

I am including photos (the first photo shows the dirt that was in the block that the bed sits in. This was visible when we removed the bed cover)
The location is fantastic and that is the only good thing about this “boutique” hotel.

If you are British do not stay here! Treated like second class citizen!!They will automatically assume you don’t tip and treat you like wise! Your probably coming here because of the beautiful pool we’ll think again as you won’t get to use it unless there is not a private event on. THEN when do get in you will perched at the side of the pool with the blazing heat beating on your head and no shade! There is no sun loungers but you can hire a bed or cabana for between $700 to 6k ! Despite the fact you’ve already paid the resort fees that doesn’t matter your only spot is to sit on pool tiles.
The drinks are $34 and water is $10! We all got sun stroke from having no access to shade on the day we got in. There is NO room service in this hotel and no food or water so if you’re dying of dehydration you need to walk to a store. The room is so seedy and dark within days you feel like you’re in a prison. The mini bar water is £20 for a small bottle of Fiji water. The air con is dirty and everyone in our party got the cold within 48 hours was so unwell had to pay for a vitamin IV. That was prior to sun stroke. The reception staff are absolutely shocking. You cannot believe how rude they are even when you’re nice as pie to them. Only lovely lady at reception is the blonde girl from hungry who is so so lovely and helpful. Rest are awful. The mirror in the room is connected to the shower and is see through so if your looking for privacy think again the other person in the room will get a full show. Don’t think for one minute after a day in the vegas heat your coming in to a nice clean room and towels oh no you come home to the same hovel you left and have to call and argue to get clean towels. ALL the other Caesar hotels are so nice and you just walk around feeling sheer regret that you spent extra money to come to the Cromwell. Do not book this hotel. If your booking because of Drais you can still stay at Caesars palace and use drais you will be a lot happier. You will bearly get to use the drais pool anyway and when you question they will tell you in a condescending manner to just use the other Caesar hotels pools that you need to walk the streets to. They also take chargers off your card that you don’t know about. Trust me after a long flight and jet lag you will not want to stay at this place where you’re thirsty and hungry and no access to food! There is one little cafe that’s shut half the time. So save all year and stay here at your own risk ⚠️
