Club Wyndham Desert Blue is often commended for its family-friendly pools and convenient shuttle service, nestled in a prime location close to the strip. While guests enjoy the spacious rooms with well-appointed kitchens and the hotel's clean and peaceful atmosphere, some have found the rooms to feel outdated. The cleanliness receives high marks, yet the value is sometimes questioned due to high costs and aggressive timeshare pitches. The staff's professionalism and helpfulness are frequently highlighted, adding to the positive experiences of many travelers.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, and wow, I liked everything about the place. The rooms were large and luxurious, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and everything was immaculately clean. If you don't like waking up in the morning in your $500/night hotel, only to have to go downstairs and wait in line for 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee, you might want to try the Wyndham Desert Blue. Coffee and a coffee maker are provided, along with a good sized refrigerator to store drinks. The room comes with a nice kitchenette with microwave, dishes and silverware- basically all the things that you need for a comfortable stay but are usually lacking in "high-end" hotels.
The strip is only a mile or two away and the Mercedes van shuttle has convenient hourly runs. The drop off point at Treasure Island is literally only a 5 minute walk to the world class restaurant row in the Venetian. The buzz and nightlife of the strip is easily accessible, but it's nice to come back and sleep in a quiet hotel with some amenities that are greatly appreciated. I've probably stayed in 75% of the strip hotels, but the Wyndham Desert Blue is my new favorite place to stay. It's a 5 star experience.
If you book a stay, walk down Twain street a couple of blocks and try LIttle Italy's pizzeria. It's frequented by locals, and it's fantastic. If you like to gamble, and you like the best odds, try the Gold Coast casino, also only fifteen minute walk away.

Such a pleasant experience! Staff super friendly and helpful. Room very clean and well appointed. No housekeeping service unless you pay extra but easy to dispose of garbage and get fresh linens and there’s a broom and carpet sweeper in the room. Kitchenette well stocked with dishes, silverware, glassware, etc plus a sponge, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and paper towels.

Free valet and self parking. Shuttle to/from Treasure Island and local grocery store is a huge plus.

We had minor issues during our stay - mini fridge and AC stopped working - but AC repaired and fridge replaced very quickly by friendly & professional staff.

Pool area very clean, plenty of loungers, and lots of shaded areas. Ping pong and tons of lawn games available for guest use. Food at pool bar very reasonably priced and tasty.

There is a small store onsite but it’s super overpriced. Other amenities include computer room, work out room, daily coffee bar, social hour in the lobby, and daily craft activities for kids and adults.

We stayed at the Desert Blue for one week and had a lovely time. The room was a good size with a comfortable king size bed, and very quiet so we were never disturbed during the night. The pool area was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers and a snack bar. Although we were asked if we would like to attend a timeshare presentation our decline was respectively received as we are happy with our own resort. We were disappointed that our room/bedding had not beem cleaned during our stay and it was explained that this was due to it being a timeshare hotel but we could pay extra if we wished, our own timeshare do clean the rooms half way through a weeks stay so this was unusual for us, but you could request clean towels etc. The shuttle was very much appreciated, there were always plenty of seats available and always on time, setting off from the hotel hourly and returning from the Treasure Island pick up. If we were to return we would choose this hotel again.

I recently stayed at this resort, hoping for a tranquil escape from the city. However, the experience fell short of expectations. The room was dingy, emitting a persistent dank smell, and clearly hadn't been updated in years. Despite the high price tag, amenities like coffee at the snack bar were exorbitantly priced. Additionally, the resort fees were unreasonable. Throughout the night, loud music blared from a neighboring room until the early hours, despite my attempts to address the issue with unhelpful staff. While security was present, their effectiveness was questionable, as evidenced by the oversight of the disruptive noise. Furthermore, the presence of a disturbing pedo symbol by the pool cast a shadow of unease over our stay, prompting us to cut our trip short due to feeling unsafe. Overall, this resort failed to provide the peaceful retreat advertised, leaving us disappointed and uncomfortable.

This has been the worst resort of its kind I've ever stayed at, as a member owner who just bought the Wyndham membership and making use of my benefits of stay that 100% let down,
the room completely unacceptable, the sofa bed could not be extended completely so sleeping there was impossible, dirty furniture, gnawed table, the mattress broken, dirty and with mold-like stains, the closet door broken, terrible front desk service, and they did not want to make much effort to change rooms. Coming down with photos and videos of the room was when they decided to do something to change us. The new room, we got three half, and in the bathroom there was no liquid soap, I ordered at least 4 times and it was not until the third day that we were given soap.

Upon registering we were told he was Wyndham Presidential and the “newest” in town. But believe me I would never stay there and I will not recommend it.

My stay was from 18 to 22 May

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Everything exceeded my expectations. Staff was great. Free valet. Room was excellent. Everything was top notch. Beds were very comfortable. Great view from out room. Too cold to use the pools, but looked nice. Hot tub was nice.

Don't go to the time share review. Like most reviews they are very friendly and then the HARD sell. Our gifts were to a low budget show and $100 worth of food certificates. We had a hard time using the certificates and finally found we could use them at Caesar's food court, not a buffet. On top of that we had to pay $35 to park at Caesars. Self parking at all the other casinos was $20-25. Save money on parking by getting a MGM rewards card. With that card you can park free a MGM affiliate casinos: Excalibur, Bellagio, Arial and a few others. Check with the Rewards staff on how to use the reward's card and what casinos except them.

Best part of the visit was going to the SPHERE. Ticket prices vary on where you buy them. Best price we found was at Spotlight.Vegas. Use your GPS, Lots of construction and bumper to bumper traffic.

We traveled to Vegas for my daughter’s soccer tournament. We were looking for a hotel close to the strip but not in the middle of the craziness. We booked this hotel last minute and we were impressed. The hotel was nice, modern and clean. The staff was friendly and super efficient. Free parking and valet parking; super convenient with the app that allows you to order your car in advance. The rooms are spacious and clean. The carpets in the hallways and rooms can use a deep cleaning though; overall a very clean hotel. Housekeeping is not available unless you pay but, if you are planning on staying only a couple of days it is not a big deal. You will be approached to attend a presentation; similar to timeshare they do try to sell you the Club Wyndham points program. We attended the presentation and would’ve bought it if our immediate plans were different. They offer a complimentary shuttle to the strip so that is a plus. The strip is literally 5 minutes away and you are close to the freeway as well. The hotel requires a 2 night minimum and extending your stay for one extra night is a hassle. We had issues but Michelle at the front desk saved the day; she was kind, caring and went above and beyond to make sure her manager approved an extension. If you are looking to gamble, definitely not the place as the hotel doesn’t have a casino but it is perfect for families. We will definitely be back!

The rooms are equipped with great mattresses and pillows. We are even considering getting these items for home.
The pool area is nice and clean. The food and drink at the pool bar is delicious and also quite cheap.
The service is very friendly and the hotel offers a free Vegas Strip shuttle that runs every hour. There is a small self-service supermarket in the hotel.
After checking out, you can use the pool area for longer and your luggage will be stored.
There are showers and changing rooms in the pool area so you can freshen up before you leave.

Affordable and clean hotel near the vegas strip. However housekeeping must be requested else you have to take out your own trash. Chute and bins available on every floor.

Hotel offers complimentary coffee on one of the mornings. Otherwise there is a shop at the lobby that offers Starbucks vending machine, and other fridge drinks, snacks and essentials.

There is shuttle to treasure Island. Very convenient.

Friendly valet parking.

There was letter to santa activity and hotel replied to the letters the children wrote with a personalised response and candy cane. Very nice gesture.

Good recommendation if you rented a car and do not wish to pay extra staying on the strip but yet near enough to the key attractions.

Stayed here from 6/22-6/25. On Sunday 6/24 my family and I got the shuttle at 11am to meet the rest of our family, that was staying at another location. During this time, we all went to eat, and rented a party bus. I left back to the hotel and arrived at 6:30 pm by myself, as the rest of my family were still going to gamble and go to clubs. Once my daughter and son arrived back at 4:30am, my son noticed $2,000 dollars missing from his backpack. I felt bad, because I was the only one in the room, other than going to the pool from 7:30pm till 8:45. We searched the room, NOTHING, money was gone. We went down to the front to let them know, what had happened. 2 security ran reports to see if anyone had accessed our room during the time we were gone. Guess what! There was an entrance into our room at 4:27pm. We were all on the party bus at that time and I have videos and pictures of all of us. Next access into our room was at 6:39 when I had arrived back myself. They advised us, they do not have cameras in the hallways. Why can’t they pull up camera footage from the elevators at the time our room was accessed to see who went in that direction? We were also advised that it was our key that opened the door, HOW the keys were in the drawers. We wore our wristbands. So, now we are in the process of working with LV Metro. This is scary, knowing someone was in our room, especially knowing I was by myself. Please watch your surroundings and stay safe and take valuables with you. I will never stay here again. Management dismissed us and did not even come out to speak with us. It was the 2 security guards that helped us and let us know what they had found. Not only are we out $2,000, we were treated as if we were making this up, when I have proof and they can look at camera footage that we were not on the property at that time and someone accessed our room at 4:27pm!
