We had a nice view from our room. It's really a town on it's own. Good and friendly service! We also enjoyed the swimming pool and the free towels. And we had a nice sweet breakfast at Dunkin Donuts :)
Sams town is a great place to visit or stay at. The restaurants are great and the prices are good we visited TGI Fridays we had steak and lobster tail which was excellent and costs $14.99 the buffet is also great and excellent value. We also played on the slots and found they were the best value for money compared to the strip and Fremont. If you stay on the strip there’s a free bus service check out details on the internet you won’t be diapointed.
We have stayed at Sam's Town hotel countless times and have never had a bad experience there. Rooms are always extremely clean and quiet. Beds are very comfy. Employees have always been very friendly! Recommend to anyone!
This was my second ever solo trip to LV but my 25th time total visiting. 98% of the time I stay in the trip. As I was solo, I wanted the best value so for my first two nights I stayed at Sams Town on a weekend comp (resort fee waived). A true value if you ask me. Joining BOYD and gambling at their locations in LV has earned my multiple free nights and as they waive the resort fee on those nights, I get to stay completely for free. Checked in Saturday night around 730PM. No line, quick check-in. Was assigned a handicapped room (thats what was offered at the time I booked my comp) and although I requested a non-ADA room at check-in, she said they were booked which was understandable. In the end, it was no big deal. One perk, was that my room was 15 feet from the elevator. Everything was the same as a standard room except the shower was larger. Room was clean and organized and comfortable. Coffee provided and a small fridge---neither I used. TV was large and modern and got plenty of use while in bed. I tell you what, being at all the Strip casino properties dozens of times each, Sams Town is a little gem of architecture. Mystic Falls Park is really really nice and clean and smells wonderful----you cant hear many waterfalls in LV. A nice little stroll----looks like you are in the middle of a town due to the setup of the rooms. My room looked over the park which was a nice change of scenery from the mountains or bustle of the Strip. Anyways, nice casino layout---pretty large by off-Strip standards, two floors. Cheap table games, plethora of slots, BINGO, keno lounge, poker room, etc. Something for everyone. Although I didnt partake in either, the movie theater and arcade are a nice touch. The food options are sort of something to be desired. Since its the only casino/hotel in the immediate area, I would have expected more although truthfully I knew what to expect since I did research on the website. Most offerings were food court/quick service related. There is the Angry Butcher for a more upscale meal and thats about it----their menu does look good and affordable and their happy hour menu looks to be a true value. They do have a TGI Fridays which is standard in every city now however they do offer lots of specials to pull people in. Although they dont offer it on the physical menu, the Sams Town website states TGI has a daily breakfast special til 11am. I asked about this and indeed they do offer it daily. With a drink purchase (coffee $3.25), you get eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, and hash browns for $3.99. I partook in tis back to back mornings as I didnt want McDonalds or a buffet. Portion was solid and you cant get it for $4. Good/cheap way to start the morning. Believe it came to around $7.50 with tax and coffee. I did earn enough tier credits on a single day to get a $10 food credit to the sportsbook deli. Nice little setup. Got the steak philly to-go and that came with fries. Added on a drink and minus the coupon, I paid $2. It was good however the meat needed salt and pepper, dont think it was seasoned at all. The veggies on it...can tell were handcut and very fresh and crisp. All-in-all, I really liked this place. Didnt have too many hits on the slots, (a couple for around $150) but did lots of gambling. And although the food choices are limited, I still think I can easily spend 2 nights here and partake in lots they offer. For the gambler, there is something for everyone. The option of taking in a movie is also nice. Ohhh ohhh I forgot the free shuttle offered between the casino and Harrahs and the casino and downtown----took it twice ---a good savings since I didnt need to Uber/LYFT-----and the shuttle was HUGE-----comfy leather seats and air-conditioned. Was surprised how nice it was. Its Vegas, but not overblown Vegas. Old Vegas? Maybe? I enjoyed it a whole lot and would easily return. Everyone I rubbed elbows with was courteous and friendly. Theres a million ways to do Las Vegas---this one was quite different and quite enjoyable.…
Have been to Vegas a couple times and wanted to visit a casino off the beaten path of the usual spots. My friend's name is Sam so of course we had to come check out Sam's town. We had rented a car so it was easy to get to. Free parking and plenty of spots in the garage. Love the theme! The center has a little "forest park" like setup with tables, trees, lights, and a waterfall. While gambling on the slots we noticed a light and water show had started at the waterfall. That was awesome because with our timing had missed the volcano shows at The Mirage and the fountains at the Bellagio. Didn't have a room, just came to play the slots.
