Arrived at The D and it's true the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours and the Fremont Street experience until the early hours. Went to the strip the next day and thought wished we'd booked up there ! Next day went to the strip again but the novelty of the big hotels

How far away from strip is this hotel ?
As others have said Fremont Street is its own little strip of several blocks. It is 5 to 7 miles from the famous Las Vegas strip where Caesars fountains & everything else is located.

How far is the strip? What’s the best way to get to there during the day?
Day or night, your cheapest option is the bus! You can pick up a 24 hour pass for $8/person or a 3 day pass for $20/person. The Deuce boards on Las Vegas Blvd, and makes a lot of stops on the strip. The SDX boards on Casino Center right alongside Binion's and makes only a few stops on the strip. With the bus pass, you can just hop on and hop off whenever you want. There's an awful lot of walking involved on the strip, so the bus comes in handy!
