Home of the $5 breakfast, there were plenty of other good value options. We had chicken fried rice and a Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. The service was friendly and helpful and the portions were large. The restaurant area was pretty basic and as Brits, we found the 20% compulsory service charge excessive, as we felt it was going to the restaurant and not the staff.

This is a run down place besides the stratosphere casino and hotel. It is a very cheap looking place and dirty. I walked in an out. Don't waste your time it's Las Vegas and there's a huge choice elsewhere.

We've just returned from Vegas and stumbled across the Aztec following a reccommendation from reservations at the Stratosphere. We just happened to pick the busiest week in the Vegas calendar and all the hotels apart from the Aztec were full. All I can say is it's great value for money. The food in the restaurant is cooked fresh to order and has the 'home cooked' taste as opposed to the plastic meals served up in other places. The bar is packed full of characters and with happy hours prices of 75c for a Bud what more do you want. We were in Vegas for 8 days and split our time here and the Stratosphere when they had availability. The rooms are adequate with no frills and great value at $59

Of all the places to eat in Las Vegas, we picked this place, only because someone said they had $5 eats for breakfast. We arrived at the seediest parking lot with homeless people in the parking lot with a shopping cart full of stuff. We went inside & went straight to the café. The waitress was friendly, but that's where it ended. We looked at the menu & almost left then (should have). We ordered the only thing on the menu that was $5 - the bacon/egg/toast. It was average. Points of interest:

1. They only had whole wheat toast.
2. They did not have water to drink but would sell us a bottle. I have never eaten breakfast before without drinking something.
3. The coffee was $3.50 a cup and no free refills so I didn't order it.
4. They only permitted one check per table (strange).
5. They served on paper plates.

The toast was hard like it was overtoasted. I ordered crisp bacon and received wiggly bacon, and when I told the waitress, she said "sorry" but didn't give me crisp bacon.

Bottom line - go to the miracle mile mall to Blondies or the Cantina if you want a good $5 breakfast.

So I saw the reviews and have driven by this place in an Uber a couple times.

The place is an absolute dump and the reviews did not disappoint.

The area is filled with bums and other crap of society wandering around like the walking dead.

The exterior looks like a weathered street walker in need of a hot shower.

The inside is worn just like the outside and almost comedy how bad it needs a facelift. Most of the machines had sketchy folks at it and the employees looked like they were at the end of the road in their careers and job satisfaction.

I wish this place the best as the dirt is worth more than the bones. Only a matter of time before someone grabs it up and turns it into a gas station or liquor store.

Check it out as it’s worth the sh!tshow…🙃🙃🙃

We saw a sign advertising cheap rooms so we checked in here for two nights.
A typical seedy motel set-up, bad air conditioner (hotter inside then out), typical motel room set-up with very cramped bathroom facilities.
Dubious cliental( I suspect rent by the hour)but we never felt unsafe or ...in the wrong place...
For a few dollars more we could have stayed across the road at the Stratosphere which I assume would have been a better deal.
Located at the far end of the strip it is a long way to the big casinos like New York New York, Ballagio etc.
We felt safe walking at night though, no problemns there.

I am a frequent traveler. August of 2012 I made my ninth trip to Vegas. In my many years I have eaten at thousands of buffets. When you walk in to the Aztec's pizza buffet a sign says "please seat yourself." I assumed this to mean that you help yourself and they bring you a check. I was wondering why no one was coming to provide drink service. About 15 minutes latter an unclean looking waitress came out and began arguing with another customer about the wait time on a drink refill. The other customer and myself were the only customers at apx. 1:30pm on Friday afternoon. The waitress then very rudly told me that I should have paid first by a sign that says "checkout." Just because she is mad with another customer does not mean that she needs to be rude with all customers. Also, the sign did say "please seat yourself" and it is a buffet. The pizza on the buffet was cold. The first round of pizza that I had was cold plain pizza. For the second round I filled a plate with sussage pizza. The sussage was so cold that I did not want to eat it, it may have never been fully cooked in the first place. I was going to alert the waitress about the cold pizza on the buffet, but after clearing the other customer's table she never came back out. Also, she never provided drink service. I decided at this point to just leave the uneaten pizza and go someplace else. Also, they charge you a dollar if you pay with a credit card. This is the only time in my life when I have never a tip at a restaurant. I have never worked in a restaurant, but understand that sometimes customers can be mean. However, the waitress in turn does not have mean to all customers. Also, there were only two customers in the restuarant at the time.

I stayed at the Aztec in February of 2003. There was absolutely no other rooms available on the strip for less than $140 per night. I did not expect much by looking at the outside, but the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I felt safe. I spend very little time in the room and this was all I need for the appropriate price. You can do better during the slow times in Vegas, but this is an excellent deal when the rooms are gone.

Happy traveling. Satisfied guest

We were here for a pool tournament and found this spot right across the street from the Stratosphere hotel. The location is not the best and a little suspect. I was definitely expecting the food to be a waste like all the other bland food here in Vegas. I'm from Chicago (food heaven) and currently live in the south (home cooked everything) so flavor is everything to me.

Trust me when I say this is the best Thai food. The chicken chow mein, mixed fried rice, and Philly cheesesteak were AH-MAZING! I was so caught off guard that I had to write a review.

To make things better the owner was working and interacting with the customers. He was wonderful and I'd love to see this business grow. Give it atry you won't be disappointed.

I just started using tripadvisor.com, and although I stayed here in 2000, I thought I should write to say it was really bad. Rooms disgusting. Unless they are under new management, do not stay there. You definitely get what you pay for, and it was very cheap.
