This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Golden Nugget Hotel garners mixed reviews, with guests appreciating its vibrant atmosphere and prime Fremont Street location for exploring downtown Las Vegas. While some guests enjoy quiet, clean rooms, others are troubled by noise and dated decor. The hotel's pool, featuring a shark tank and water slide, is a hit, but reviews about the value and cleanliness are split, citing unexpected fees and inconsistent housekeeping. Service is often commended for friendliness, despite some hiccups with room allocation.

There was black mold in shower! They were too busy with huge long lines everytime we went to desk to discuss (even calling). So didn't use shower and figured I'd email and they would make it right later. It was Rodeo week, and we stayed only Wed-Fri. When I got home I emailed and was told they could only credit us the resort fees for 1 day.. I thought at LEAST 1credit for 1 day/ price of room (since we paid to have use of FULL room, but weren't able to), very disappointing! On top of that I have mold allergy so felt those affects as well. Friends staying in another room had crumbs, hair and wrapper on the comforter. Just CRAZY, it was visible. So the Housekeeping is a DEFINITE issue and cringe worthy.

It was a very good stay, golden nugget exceeded expectations. The food inside the hotel was all good and everyone was friendly. All the casino staff were very helpful and friendly. The chick fil a was awesome and very fast for the amount of people they accommodated. The experience as a whole was awesome.

We picked the Golden Nugget for the location on Fremont. We stayed in a premium Gold Tower room. The location of the Gold Tower right over the casino was convenient. All the employees we met were great except for one, more about that later. We didn't eat there for any of our meals because most of it was very expensive except for Starbucks. We also didn't gamble there becuase we liked some of the other casino on Fremont better. The room was nicer then I thought it would be. The Gold Tower is a bit outdated and needs some new upgrades. Carpets in hall were worn and dirty. It was a bit noisy since our room faced Fremont so if we stayed again I would ask for a room off Fremont. Our problem started when security did a welfare check since we hadn't had our room cleaned in three days. Instead of knocking on the door and saying welfare check...he pounded on the door and was screaming loudly open the door. We are both elderly and have PTSD. He scared us so badly we were afraid to open the door. Things escalated from there when my husband finally opened the door and there was a very loud and tense exchange in the hallway. Bottom line.. security at a hotel should not be scaring the guest. We thought he was going to break the door down.

This place is prostitution ring. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without hookers surrounding my husband. They are literally everywhere! And they are super aggressive, even with female guests! Someone had their wallet stolen by one of them at the bar and security told them if they filed a police report there was nothing they can do about it. I was just in awe at how obtuse security seems to be with all the pimps and hookers. The bar staff and cocktails seem to care more than security. Seriously, this place is hooker and pimp central in Vegas. Do not recommend!!!

Great experience from checkin to eating breakfast to bar service. It was clean as well. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again in the Rush Tower. A bit loud throughout the night but not disruptive. Can’t go wrong.

We stayed at the Golden Nugget for the first time (we usually stay on the strip). We were there for 5 nights and had 4 large suites. They failed to disclose the concert venue that literally vibrates the windows as well as your room until at least 1:00 a.m. Their solution - complimentary foam ear plugs on the night stand. Rude dealers in the casino - don’t ask a question or you may get yelled at! I would highly recommend a different hotel/casino.

Needed to stay an extra night because we were too tired to drive back. Hotel staff got us a last minute reservation and was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the value was perfect. Convenient location and parking was easy and free. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and personable.

I love classic Vegas and was looking forward to staying here. Unfortunately, they don't tell you it's a 50/50 chance your room will be facing the Fremont Experience. There are several live stages that have cover bands blasting until 2am. Not an exaggeration. I heard Guns and Roses every night until 2am. The Nugget will not mention the issue when you check in, because they know everyone would ask to move or many might cancel. Instead they throw cheap earplugs in your room that say "Enjoy a quiet nights sleep." Earplugs don't black the booming base in your body. And no way you can't hear the music with them. Front desk refused to make any accommodation saying it's part of being in "The Entertainment District." Like visitors should just know this without being told. Instead of moving me, even on a Sunday when I'm sure plenty of rooms opened up, they only offered to upgrade me for $60. You might think they would wave the fee as a make good on my two previous miserable nights. Nope, they don't wave any fees. Like the $15 dollar fee to move my check out from 11am to noon. They nickle and dime the hell out of you. No housekeeping all 4 days we were there. Garbage cans had to be left outside and then I had no garbage cans. If you sleep like a log or get lucky with a room facing the strip you might be fine, but I will never stay here.

Great service all around! Love the location. Yes, the rooms can get loud with the music outside, but that's to be expected. If given the opportunity, I highly recommend upgrading to the spa suite. They are AMAZING! For a quiet night, I recommend the Carson Tower.

We have been visiting Las Vegas every year for the past several years. We stay on The Strip, but always enjoy a visit to Fremont St. and The Golden Nugget Hotel. We always park in the Nugget’s parkade and enjoy the buffet and casino. This year was no different although, we were only able to stay for approximately 2 1/2 hours. It was the first time using the QR code scanning to pay for the parking. About 2 hours after leaving the Golden Nugget, I had a good look at my parking receipt and was PROFOUNDLY shocked to see that I had been charged $51 USD for parking!! (I had been expecting about $25 as the signage had indicated. Upon calling the hotel, I was informed that this was the “Event Parking” rate due to President’s Day weekend. Neither my husband nor I recall seeing any signage to this effect when entering the parkade. I find this to be an absolutely outrageous and frankly unacceptably high price to pay. On future visits to downtown Vegas, we will be choosing an alternate place to park, eat and play.
