We love staying downtown and wandering in and out all of the older casinos... The tables are cheaper and the people more friendly. The GN is a gorgeous hotel with top of the line restaurants. You can get a beautiful corner suite for the price of a basic room on the strip. It is my favorite place to stay in...

My wife and I stayed here in order to experience New Year's Eve on Fremont. We checked in on the 28th and left on the 2nd. Using the self check in kiosks by the Carson tower is a great way to avoid the lines at the main registration areas. We were very happy to be able to check in early...

Well this is the best to offer downtown. Seems like all the others they have let run down terrible. Easy check in and friendly staff was well appreciated. Nice indoor pool. Parking can be a challenge downtown especially during big weekends.

We were on a suite floor, 22 I believe. The room was really nice and the bathroom was also huge and well appointed. The elevator area on the suite floors has treats at all times of the day, usually bowls of peanut M&M;s, almonds, bottled waters, and coffee in the morning - a very nice touch! The room was great...

This is an incredible value for money (all the hotels are cheap) but I had this one with a promotional rate that was a joke. It is really far from the centre and you should consider to pay more be more central. Althought there is lots of buses connecting the hotel you should compare the rates to decide.

We stayed at the Golden Nugget because we wanted to be downtown for New Years Eve. Little did we know that you had to pay $40 per person extra to get onto he street! Really? One would think that for what they were charging for rooms this would be included. They gave us one free pass - big deal -...

We stayed at the Golden Nugget the week of December 14th. We have always stayed on the strip & this was our first time staying downtown. We stayed in a Carson room. The room needs updated, but was very clean. The staff was friendly. We arrived around 8am & had no issues checking in. I would stay here again!!

My room was spacious but a bit outdated. There were excessive prices on the coffee and water in the room. Also there is additional fee that will be charged not included in your payment. First I was given a smoking room, but what I learnt while traveling in US is that you have to complain. And after doing so I...

We normally stay on the strip at Bellagio or the like, however, downtown seemed appealing for one night prior to heading home after a quick golf trip to Palm Springs. We booked a room in the new "Rush Tower - Deluxe King." Unfortunately there was a terrible accident on the I15 creating a 4 hour traffic jam on a Friday...

The Golden Nugget rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. We stayed in non-smoking, which is a good break after walking through the smokey casino. The air conditioners are loud, which I like as it cancels out any hall noise, not that there really was any. The beds are comfy. The decor is average and dated. If you are staying in...
