The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is lauded for its prime location, particularly for those attending conventions, and for offering easy access to transportation. While the hotel's lively atmosphere and range of amenities, including entertainment and dining options, receive high marks from guests, opinions on the rooms and cleanliness are mixed, with some applauding the spaciousness and others pointing out upkeep issues. We had a nice stay at the Westgate. It was our first time there and we'll definitely go back, it will be our new go to hotel. Nice sized casino, awesome concert venue with quite a history too. The location was great if you are mobile and like the Pepper Mill, El Gordo, Bagelmania, Circus Circus - all within a 15 min walk. It's next to the monorail too.

The AC wasnt working the first night but it was fixed by the second. That would've been a deal breaker. I saw a housekeeper in the hall and got my room cleaned one day too (rare for vegas these days) . Easy to communicate via text to an AI robot (at least i assume it's AI but actually helpful).

The downside was check-in and $45 to stay past 11am. Only 2-3 workers checking people in so lines were LONG. The employee checked us in quickly but the (customers were slow b/c every one seemed to be wanting to make changes or look at book of suites they would never stay in or who know what) just not enough of them. Would be great if a kiosk was an option.

Also need MORE Elvis.

Waitress Linda & Renato are the best. They consistently took all of our plates & kept the table clear as well as kept refilling our drinks before they were empty. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I canā€™t wait to return to this amazing resort.

First time at this hotel. Ample parking deck (10$)/day. Big open first floor with storefronts , nice size casino area, many different restaurants, they even had a three bout boxing fight in the auditorium that night. The tram picks up on the grounds. Clean, easy , nice hotel with big rooms. The beds are med/soft with soft pillows. The rooms can be a bit cold from the ac not getting hot, just call room service and have them adjust ac. The food can be a bit pricey but Iā€™m sure thatā€™s true of most hotel in Vegas. For the price itā€™s a perfect hotel off the strip. Will return to this hotel when back in Vegas

My Week at the Westgate Las Vegas: A Trip Report
* Overall: Extremely disappointing stay marred by constant problems and a general feeling of neglect. This hotel is clearly prioritizing its timeshare guests, leaving regular visitors feeling like an afterthought.
* Room: While the room itself was a decent size and somewhat modern if you like an early 90s style, it was far from clean. Finding hair from previous guests in the bathroom is simply unacceptable. To add insult to injury, daily housekeeping was not provided, a fact never mentioned during booking or check-in.
* Amenities: Calling the amenities "lacking" would be generous. The pool was closed during my entire stay, the elevators were constantly malfunctioning, and the Wi-Fi was completely unreliable. Forget about getting any work done! As a resolution one was asked to call some external 1800 hotline.
* Service: With the exception of a few friendly faces, the staff seemed either overwhelmed or indifferent to the hotel's problems. A particularly unpleasant encounter with a snappy and unhelpful phone operator left a sour taste in my mouth.
* Outdated: The hotel has a dated feel, with worn carpets and a general lack of upkeep in the common areas. It's clear that this property has seen better days.
* The "Resort Fee": Adding a mandatory resort fee for amenities that were largely unavailable felt like adding insult to injury. While the hotel did eventually refund two days' worth of this fee after some uncomfortable back-and-forth, it shouldn't have been necessary to fight for it in the first place.
Would I return?: Absolutely not. Until the Westgate addresses its serious maintenance issues, improves its cleanliness, and starts treating all guests with respect, I would strongly advise staying elsewhere. You have plenty of better options.

This is the worst hotel. The service is terrible. I had to complain to the manager and he was rude to me. My husband and I had breakfast in the restaurant - just an omelet each - and the bill was $80. There is no coffee in the room. The tissue is single ply and scratchy. There is smoke smell everywhere. The ceilings are low. The elevators donā€™t work. There are 6 elevators near my room and only one works. I asked for daily housekeeping and I have been here one week today and I have gone without housekeeping five days despite waiting at the front desk for 30 minutes to complain and then have the manager be condescending and rude. The restaurants are open to the casino and the smoke wafts in. One must walk through the low ceiling casino full of smoke to get to the convention center and the smoke smell is in the air conditioning. There is marijuana smell wafting in from outside too. The rooms have no insulation and you can hear everything from the hallway and the adjacent rooms. Do not stay here.

Very bad, room not clean and in need of renovation. Hair and false eyelashes found in the bathroom. Shower doesn't work properly, half the water keeps running into the tub and you take a bath at the same time. Internet is practically non-existent.
Room service was not carried out despite calling. The water supply was being serviced, so the whole hotel had no water at all from 11 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning, toilets, showers were all shut down. As compensation, there were three 0.1 liter bottles of water.
In short, Elvis would turn in his grave if he saw this.
Sorry, simply not recommended!

My room was one of the updated rooms and it was lovely and well-appointed. The mountain view each morning was incredible. The access to the Convention Center via The Tesla Loop was a terrific bonus.

Where my stay fell short was with housekeeping and front desk customer service.

I was there from Monday-Friday and didn't receive housekeeping services my entire stay. Because I was there for a very busy work trip, I didn't make it back to the room until after 8:00 each night. Each night, I was disappointed to not have fresh towels, fresh toiletries, a made bed, and trash removed. Because it was late (in one case past midnight) and I was tired and didn't want to deal with it, I didn't call down for housekeeping. I was always hopeful it would be resolved the next day, then was disappointed when it was not. I even double checked to make certain my Do Not Disturb hanger wasn't out.

Upon check-out on Friday, when the Front Desk Agent asked me about my stay, I let her know the situation. I framed it as, "I don't usually make complaints and I'm not expecting anything, but I wanted to let you know so future guests have a better experience." The agent immediately got prickly and said that housekeeping is available only by request (that is not true, my coworkers had daily housekeeping). She said if I wanted housekeeping, I should have called each day to request it. Her answer was very frustrating and terribly delivered. This isn't a Hampton Inn. This is a full-service hotel with a $45 resort fee. Daily housekeeping is an expected service that I shouldn't have to beg for each night.

My company had over 50 rooms at this hotel for a week's stay. I'll request they book elsewhere for future events.

When we first pulled into the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the lobby and interior, we were there for a teaching conference and were greeted by who we thought was a member of customer services telling us they had a gift for the teachers at the conference, unfortunately this was the first of many encounters with the timeshare people. Iā€™ve stayed in other Vegas hotels where there were timeshare opportunities but they were no where near as pushy and intimidating as the ones at the Westgate.

Now to the room, we had a signature king room, the positive was that the room was a nice size and had a good view with a mini fridge. The negatives were the multiple days without cleaning service, overflowing pile of dirty towels, no clean towels, no garbage chance. The outdated and grimy bathroom and the lack of working wifi. For $109USD a night plus $50 of resort fees, there are many nicer resorts for a lot cheaper. Not exactly sure what you pay resort fees for when you are getting absolutely nothing. I called after day 2 of no cleaning and asked for towels and cleaning service, they only brought towels. The next day I called and asked for it to be done and they said they donā€™t clean timeshare rooms, I stated we were staying at the hotel side and they showed up an hour later.

The resort itself has some nice amenities, the conference area is nice as is the Sportsbook and food court. We also really enjoyed the steakhouse.

Overall, I would avoid Westgate unless you want to be harassed by timeshare people and have to reuse dirty towels and shower in a grimy yellow tub.

I literally just left and checked out a day early because housekeeping cleaned my room every 2-3 days and I stated at check in I wanted my room to be cleaned everyday since I was spending 9 days at the hotel working the Sema show .At first I thought they still had their go green initiative but after the second day of no one coming to clean I called and got the same response .I will let the housekeeping manager know .So finally someone shows up to clean did a great job on Wednesday.that was the last time someone came to clean my room .So after another 2 days without housekeeping I call again 2 times once at 7 pm after Sema show and again when I get back to my room at 10 pm same response the housekeeping manager is aware of your first call .Nothing was done no one came to clean follow up nothing . I was supposed to stay until Sunday but I was out everything towels soap shampoo toilet paper So I checked out early because I felt like I would get sick if I stayed any longer and management their does nothing .Also the lobby smells like smoke .I will never stay at the Westgate Las Vegas ever again
