Detailed Reviews
This review is only for the 777 restaurant, and the public portion of the lobby.
Monday, January 27, 2025
We were staying on Fremont Street and walked to MSS for dinner.
777 is a fun, clean brewpub and restaurant. It was crowded and loud, but not in a bad way. Everyone appeared to be having a good time. You could still hear and talk with your own group. This ceilings are really high. I think that helps control the volume of all the people. The food was delicious. Everyone in our group had something different and all were good. Our server, Chris, was busy with several tables, but he checked on us and got us anything we needed. I got one of their house beers The Marker. It was a good micro brew style beer. Nothing like your average Budweiser or Coors (which they have if you want). The Mochiko Chicken was really good. It was served plate lunch style, with a scoop of white rice and macaroni salad. Chee hoo!
After dinner, we walked around the lobby and entrance areas. Lots of beautiful craftsman style woodwork throughout and antique slots on display.
Our group was impressed with not only the restaurant, but also how nicely the hotel presents. We all decided we will look into staying at MSS on our next trip.

We booked this hotel as a cost effective option on a multi stop USA tour. Knowing how little we would spend in our room we opted for a budget hotel. We stayed here Christmas Day, and just a warning although there was a Christmas Tree up the hotel nor Vegas really celebrate so if you’re looking for festive, this isn’t the place. That’s in no way a criticism, just an observation.
The hotel room was clean, but coming from the UK where smoking is banned indoor, the smell of smoke on the corridors and all downstairs was really disgusting. Our room didn’t smell thankfully. The window glass is really thin and you could hear busy road and railway 24/7, if you’re a light sleeper then ear plugs are a must. For £25 a night it was a bargain, and very close to Freemont Street. About 5 mins walk away from the hotel is a 7/11, here we bought some cereal/milk/snacks/beer to have breakfast etc which saved a fortune, there was a fridge in our room to store bits.

Update 2023-A nostalgic hotel. The bed and room were comfortable and newly remodeled since last time we were here. Brunch is still a good value at about $23 plus tax. 777 still good but changed to a cheaper wine list with less offerings there. Beer list still good and menu less than before Covid. Check hours at the Triple 7 as they at this writing close at 10pm. Rooms are the high point along with Boars head bartenders.
**** Resort fees have approached $30 per day now 2023 ( you don't get much on site besides parking and internet)- If you want the pool it's a walk, gym is a walk next door at California & and of this writing pool was closed.

Pros: plush mattress, room recently updated, location. Cons: getting housekeeping service is like pulling teeth, loud noises from trains. Booked a stay for 12 nights. We don't need daily housekeeping and only wanted housekeeping service 3 times during our stay. Hotel info in the room suggests several ways to request housekeeping: remove "Do Not Disturb" sign before 12:30 pm, contact the housekeeping department, or ask a team member. We used all three methods but each housekeeping service required requests over several days. Sheets were changed only once on the 10th day of our stay. Housekeeping staff called to apologize for lack of service on the 10th day. What did they offer us for our inconvenience? A free meal? Free cocktails? Gambling voucher? Nope. They offered us one cup of coffee. One cup for both of us. This is the only hotel out of about 10 we have stayed at in the past year that did not follow up with a customer feedback survey after our stay. I think I know why. If you like housekeeping during your stay, you might want to seek lodging elsewhere. And if Main Street Station tries to respond here with an apology or explanation, remember that we were there, in person, for 12 days and the only outreach we received was a housekeeping staff member offering us a cup of coffee.

Our first trip to Vegas as a family and this place totally has us not wanting to come back. We booked for an entire week and our flight came in late Wed so couldn't check in until Thursday after midnight. Do you know they still charged us a full day with the resort fee (which offers no amenities for this bogus charge) they charge you for coffee and 2.50 for little small water bottle. You will pay the same staying at the better resorts where your resort fee comes with things like free coffee and water. There are no microwaves so you get to loose your leftover meals every single night and they offer no where to warm your food up. It's beautiful and clean and totally over priced and not accommodating to guests who have a long stay. Don't plan on visiting Vegas soon thanks to this stay. I'm sure they will give the basic robotic response they are not worried about gaining new customers.

LaTasha, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're disappointed to read what sounds like an unsatisfactory experience. To ensure accommodations are held for late arrivals, especially longer-term stays, reservations are charged and honored as booked.

We enjoyed our stay at the Main Street Station Hotel, which is close to the Fremont (Street) Experience - a very lively area.
The staff were helpful - though when enquiring how to access the free internet, it would have been good to have been told that we would be charged if going over a certain limit.
The room was spacious, but the en suite would have been vastly improved had the door been placed so as to include the sink, which was open.
We were disappointed to have no coffee making facilities, nor a supply of coffee. There was no welcome bottles of water either. The latter both unusual for hotels these days.
We liked having a fridge and we loved the ice machine, which was close to the lifts.

I was hesitant on letting everyone know about this hidden gem. This is a review of the hotel, staff, their service and casino. Initially, we checked in a bit early and thankfully Joe was kind enough to consider our needs which was simple.. a quiet room with not so much foot traffic and we made sure it was away from the noise on Fremont street. Our rooms were 1515 and 1513. I was very pleased at how the room was exceptionally clean and get this, the shower pressure was excellent.
Why they are missing a star...
In room 1515 their was a problem with the A/C there was a loud somewhat whistling sound so we decided to leave it on the lowest temp and high pressure setting in hopes it would go away on its own. Thankfully it did.
Please work with house keep as our door was knocked on at 9am and asked if we need service for the day. It was extremely inconvenient that we were woken up by that noise. Every day we were their housekeeping knocked on the door. I have a solution for this... where's the privacy signs?
Lastly, the casino tables aren't open at night. I get it you can walk to California but we were at Main Street. Didn't make sense...
If your looking to enjoy a quiet hotel this is the place to be.

I don't like giving negative reviews, but this visit was very disappointing. We were RVing in the area and had pre-booked a two night stay at the RV park belonging to this business. Upon arrival, we called into the front desk to let them know we could not come in to register as our unit was too large for the parking lot connected to the hotel. They provided us our site number and completed our registration by phone. I asked if there was anything further required and they said no we were booked in. Great right? Well, the stall we were given didn't happen to align with our hookups (due to the way they wanted us to park), so we asked to move to another vacant space where we could connect too the services. They allowed us to move stalls and again confirmed all was complete.
We took a walk around the strip to sightsee (as first timers to the area) and upon our return we were met with a security guard who was extremely rude about the stall we were parked in. He insisted we had to go in to get permission and basically harassed us about having moved spots even though the front desk was the one to move us and sign us in. Did he bother to speak to the front desk? Obviously not. We were made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable we decided to refund our second prepaid night and leave. It was horrible.
Funnily enough, the security guard must have been off having a doughnut or something when a homeless person on drugs was canvassing the RV site knocking on units for money. I don't fault the person for knocking as they are in need, I am simply saying the security guard was obviously picking his perceived infractions to persecute. Perhaps the hotel needs to better instruct their security staff not to harass paying guests and contact the front desk if they have concerns.
When the front desk staff heard of the issue from my husband they should have done something to apologise for the treatment we received on their property, as that is how good customer service works. Unfortunately they didn't. Our experience was connected to an RV stay, but the lack of apology or anything else upon hearing how we were treated would discourage me for patronising the hotel as well. This experience really tainted our first visit, it was so unnecessary.

In a word I can describe this place " Vintage" it has a Classic feel to it. The room I had was clean. I didn't have a coffee machine in my room, but the front desk was able to accommodate me. ☕👍 They did have a very nice " in house buffet. All u can eat for a modest price.

Whenever I visit Las Vegas I make a point to visit the Garden Cafe at Main Street Station, the people are always friendly, the dining area is kept clean. The selection of breakfast items is good, not great. But I go because everything is very relaxed and never rushed. Even though these is not a great buffet, the price and other positive points will keep me coming back. I will be in Vegas in June and I plan on eating here again.

Ok are you traveling solo or with others (only asking because it will effect my response)
Ok if you are going solo ( I do too ) then you may like a economy room,
If you are traveling with ur partner & or friends the a room for 3 to 4 people a room with 2 queen bed would be ideal. Best not to book during any major holidays. Hopefully I answered you question? ☕🤔
Main Street Station is a block away from Fremont Street, so it is easy to walk there. Main Street Station and Fremont Street are both about 20 minutes from the airport.
Do you have a seafood buffet
Nope, never had an issue.
