Treasure Island - TI Hotel & Casino offers a nostalgic vibe that some guests cherish, though others feel updates are overdue, noting a tired feel. Its prime location on the strip garners praise, but guests have expressed dissatisfaction with hidden fees and questioned the value. Experiences with amenities are varied, pointing to clean yet dated rooms and fluctuating water temperatures. While the service can be friendly, concerns about slow service and room inconsistencies persist. Cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with certain areas needing attention.

The location is perfect (most rooms overlook the Strip) the rooms are cleaned every day and there is free parking. Unfortunately the elevators lead directly to the casino slots and often smell of cigarettes because smoking is allowed in certain areas. However, the quality/price ratio remains good. We only had breakfast once and, like everything else in the USA at the moment, it was extremely not cheap.

When I booked, TI was the cheapest strip hotel that had king sized beds and good reviews. And what a fabulous room! Reviews said go for the newest rooms which are Tower rooms. King sized bed, two huge bathrooms, comfy couch with plenty of light to read by, numerous pillows on the bed. We were awakened at 4 AM by a strange noise of a waterfall in one of the bathrooms. I called the front desk and a plumber came within a minute or two. He looked, said that the water coming from the bathroom ceiling is probably from the room above, left, and returned minutes later to report that the couple above had left the water running which overflowed the bath tub. He also offered to mop it up and left a pile of clean towels for us to soak up the last bits if necessary so we would not slip. The room was surprisingly quiet; if we were awake and quiet, we could just hear commercial jets landing or taking off (one or two per hour). Check out was quick and the front desk personnel was gracious. We didn't eat there so don't know about the restaurants, but we did pop into CVS (no need to go outside to get into CVS) and found a refrigerated case of fresh fruit salad and bottled water and bagged snacks; next to that is a Krispy Kreme stand. That Tower king suite has ruined me for all other moderately-priced hotel rooms.

Before staying here I saw both good and not so great reviews of Treasure Island, but this hotel and casino has always looked solid from the outside so I decided to give it a chance and stay here. I'm glad I did, especially at the pricepoint this place offers. Everything up in the guest areas was in good repair and the rooms and guest hallways were seemingly recently refreshed. No damaged or patched ceilings or walls, the carpets all looked like new, no paint on the outlets as I've seen even at some higher-end hotels, etc. This hotel and casino has a decent snack and sundries shop - I ended up buying some gifts there, 2 Starbucks and a Krispy Kreme for morning coffee (no in-room Keurig machines or similar, but that seems common in Vegas), there's a full-sized CVS off the lobby and plenty of bars and restaurants to serve most any clientele, food craving or desired price range.

Each room has a safe and a refrigerator, the TV had plenty of channels, WiFi was free and fast, and the bathrooms had small bottles of boutique lotions, shampoos and soaps. The bed was comfortable and I slept well here, but I must admit I missed the experience of sinking into the bed and being covered with the puffy duvet that I had at another hotel on the strip some months ago.

I found Treasure Island to be a solid value overall, and it's adjacent to the Fashion Show mall, and directly across and a quick walk to several other hotel/casinos. This was my first time staying at this end of the strip and the view from the room was great, and I spent time at both TI and most of the neighboring properties, but I think I still prefer to stay at the other end of the strip as there seems to be more life overall and the view down Las Vegas Blvd from the intersection at the far end of the strip is tough to beat.

The only downsides I found with TI were that; The window of my room was filthy on the outside. My view of the strip was nice, but the dirt on the window was very noticeable. Also, they must have installed shower heads with very restrictive flow to conserve water. As a result, showers took twice as long as normal to try and rinse off as it barely trickled. Lastly, the comments about the strong smell in the lobby and casino area, which is overpowering and just hits you as you enter, are accurate. It seems they're trying to use chemicals or sprays to try and cover up cigarette smoke and other odors and it just makes it much worse. Lastly, while the guest rooms and common areas upstairs are fine, the ceiling above the drive-up entrance and some features above and around the bar and casino floor appear to be a throwback to the early 1990s when this place was built. It's not terrible, and it'll never look like the Bellagio, but it could use a bit of a redesign and update.

I typically stay at the Venetian or Bellagio and this was the first time booking Treasure Island as the others were sold out.

The room was dirty (pubic hair on toilet seat and bathrub) upon me entering the room for the first time. The bed was supposed to be a king size deluxe, yet it is much smaller than my own regular king size bed at home. The mattress was highly uncomfortable and sagging like a hammock. The windows were very thin, I could hear the street noise on 12 floor and the window film was broken in spots so white patches came through. My room was located exactly opposite the vending machines and ice machine and next to elevators, I tried to move right away when I noticed the location but was told to come back next day at 8.30am, I did and then they told me I should come back later at 11, which I did again and they said to come back at 1pm. I couldn't come at 1pm so showed up at 3.30pm and was told it was too late again to switch rooms. Highly disappointing. The inquiry person Keisha told me I could still order room service when I checked in at 9pm but then I called room service and they said they were closed. Thermostat were old from the 80s, couldn't set a temperature and it was ice cold so I just turned it off alltogether. Overall very disapointing stay and would rate this a 3 star hotel for future reference.

The property is in dire need of a major overhaul.

Room Conditions:
   •   Cleanliness: Dust was prevalent, and the carpets were visibly worn.
   •   Furniture: The bed and its frame were in poor condition, and a drawer was broken.
   •   Air Conditioning: The outdated system struggled to cool the room adequately.

Check-In Experience:

I paid an additional $60 for an early check-in, only to spend that time changing rooms multiple times due to consistent issues, including standing in line repeatedly.

Overall Impression:

This hotel falls short of acceptable standards. I would not recommend staying here until significant renovations are made.

There idea of an additional $70CDN a night for resort fees over and above the price that was already charged for the vacation package is highway robbery. When asked what they are for the reply was for use of patio pool and hot tub, (which was closed) the fitness equipment (small compared to most hotels in an other cities that do not have resort fees ) the spa which charged additional fees over and above the resort fees for use of sauna and hot tube or any other amenities and for house keeping to give you clean towels and make beds. But they hang a sign suggesting to only use the cleaning service if it’s really necessary. Wonder if the house cleaning staff even clean the rooms properly considering I found stones and gravel in my bed the first night. Wax there and a hot water tap that was broken off.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. For starters, they don't provide water (or anything) in the room, and it costs $5 to get a small bottle from the shop near the entrance. The chairs in the room had bits of what seemed like food in them, and they remained for the duration of my stay despite 'cleaning'. Door handles and lift buttons would often cause shocks of static electricity when touched. The shower was constantly dripping and used the same handle for both power and temperature (so you'll get a pretty chilling experience if you're already inside). Breakfast was the poorest I've ever seen, and no cutlery except forks was provided (I had to spread jam with a fork); not even water was provided one morning, and I understand the hotel imposes hefty charges if you bring your own. Upon checkout, I was directed to the "bell desk" for luggage storage; they expected tips both when leaving luggage and when collecting it. After giving a generous tip when leaving my luggage and none when collecting it, the person at the bell desk turned passive-aggressive and insulted me behind my back as I left. Restaurant options in the hotel are pretty poor, and scheduled entertainment options were not actually offered (Gilley's bull riding contest was cancelled because "the bull operator was sick").

Let's also not forget that aside from the cost of the hotel, you pay a hefty deposit per night as well as "resort fees". The latter include a bunch of things we didn't use except WiFi, which was purported to be high-speed but in fact wasn't. So, this means they're essentially charging people to use mediocre WiFi in a hotel where they're already paying to stay.

On the whole, this was a pretty sad place to be.

I stayed at the TI for 4 nights in a "panoramic" room, booking a room with "Strip View" through Booking (6 months before and then cancelled) and then through the hotel website with a "Non-Refundable" formula (one week before) obtaining a good saving and a better room ("Overview").
Again via the Hotel's website, by paying 40 dollars more, you are given the opportunity to check-in and check-out at advantageous times and register via the box so as not to waste time instead of at the desk (there is always a queue ).
As written by many users, the hotel is dated and certainly needs renovation; reading the reviews of other similar hotels it seems that they are all in the same situation, so it is better to find the one that offers you a more advantageous price.
The two things I didn't like were the permanent bad smell present in the common areas (especially at the entrance) and the 400 Dollar credit at the Box-Chek-Inn as an invitation to play the Slot Machines.
I had to go to the Desk to have my credit removed and check the Check-Inn again because I wasn't interested and I preferred to be asked instead of doing it automatically.
The room was on the 27th floor, large-spacious with two floor-to-ceiling corner windows with panoramic views of the Strip...beautiful view (especially at night with a view also of the new Sphere), apparently clean (even if with carpet) and furnished with dark and (now) dated furniture; there is manually programmable air conditioning and a small refrigerator (empty)... a bottle of water a day could also be put in the room instead of having to go and get it from the dispenser on the floor (3 dollars).
The bathroom is large but dated, with a marble finish, a bathtub with only a shower head (not very functional), a complete set of towels (replaced daily) and various products.
At the entrance to the room there is a built-in wardrobe for hanging clothes, with a hairdryer and iron.
There is a casino on the ground floor (as in all Las Vegas hotels), always open and you have to go through everything to reach the elevators that lead to the room floors (deliberately done to make you stop to play at every step) where it is present of the staff who monitor and do not allow strangers to pass through.
There are some restaurants (for lunch/dinner and early breakfast) and souvenir shops; I stopped for dinner the first evening but I wasn't happy (very expensive and I didn't eat well).
I recommend the TI for the competitive price for being on the Strip.

My wife and I stayed at TI for 3 nights. We have stayed at other hotels in Vegas. The casino has a fun vibe it’s not fancy like some of the other casinos but it’s alot cheaper and you will enjoy your stay here, rooms are nice and clean. Housekeeping came by everyday and cleaned up room and you can’t beat the location on the strip. Easy walk to Caesars and Venetian. Getting an Uber was easy too just go out the front and walk 50 feet to the right. Would definitely recommend TI to anyone looking for budget friendly hotel right in the heart of the action.

I've stayed at several different hotels on the Las Vegas strip. Treasure Island is in a great location and is a pretty nice hotel and casino, and is less expensive than a premium hotel such as Venetian or Caesars.
I stayed in a suite on this vacation, and I expected a nicer experience from this hotel. Overall, my stay was pretty good, but the hotel is suffering from a lack of maintenance and is deteriorating around the margins.

The only major complaint I had about my stay was that there was zero cell service in my room and the hotel wifi kept cutting in and out.

I have several minor complaints however. 1) The shower drain was missing a screw on one corner and was sticking up. I cut my foot on the sharp corner. 2) The soda vending machine on my floor was broken for the entire stay and the snack vending machine was mostly empty. 3) The toilet and sink ran the entire time. 4) There was no way to heat up water in my room... no coffee maker, no microwave. A drink is like $8 at the Starbucks in the lobby. 5) It's an incredibly minor thing, but ended up being quite annoying... I'm the kind of person who does want the cleaning staff in my room during a hotel stay, so I typically leave the privacy door hangar on my door the whole time. The hangar here kept falling off the door every time I'd go in or out of my room, which doesn't sound like a huge deal, but I ended up picking it up off the ground probably fifty times during my stay. This is a hotel with annual revenues exceeding $100 million, are you telling me they can't find a way to keep the door hangars on the doors? It's this kind of thing that shows Treasure Island just didn't pay any attention to the details, and are much more focused on extracting money from you at the casino.
