If you're thinking of staying somewhere else in Vegas - DON'T. We've stayed at the Venetian several years ago, but had drifted to other Strip locations for recent trips. Staying here again just cemented in our minds Venetian is, hands down, the best of Vegas. Casino was fantastic. I am far from a major player, yet my first day on the floor one of the hosts, Luke, sought out and personally welcomed me. Wow. My husband is a poker player and thinks the new poker room is fantastic. It's away from the noise and smoke of the main floor, and convenient for food, has self-serve drinks, and its own restroom. Customer service shone at the Venetian from check-in staff to house keeping. Our room was immaculate and we always felt welcome. Speaking of rooms, ours was a "regular" king suite, yet it was spacious and luxuriously appointed. If I had a tiny complaint it would be that the shower lacked water pressure, but that's quibbling. There are too many amenities to mention, especially for dining and shops. You could happily spend your entire Vegas trip here without ever leaving the resort. Speaking of resorts, I had the best massage of my life at Canyon Ranch. It was the 75 minute hot stone and heaven on earth. My provider was Leydis, I believe. I wanted to go back to her the next day but she was booked. Heaven! The pool area was crowded, but drinks could be ordered on the app. Service was quick, and drinks/food were great. Get the sliders! You'll thank me. The Tao beach club was just over the wall, and if you're looking for serenity, go to a pool further away (there are at least 6). I personally enjoyed the club music. One thing, though, is they closed the pool at 6, which is a bit early. Lastly, we brought first time, value conscious friends on the trip. They literally walked to every casino on the Strip and agreed the Venetian was the best of all. Yay! We will be back soon, Venetian. You guys definitely understand the assignment. If you’re looking for spacious rooms in an upscale hotel that provides easy access to lots of shopping and numerous fine restaurants the Venetian is a great choice with some considerations.
The positives :
1. Room suites are spacious, clean with automatic drapes and a nice bathroom. Two nice size TV’s with a good selection of channels are also provided. Additionally there is a small TV in the bathroom.
2. The Venetian is connected to the Palazzo and share the Grand Canal shoppes which provide access to a lot of (mostly) high end shopping.
3. Between the two hotels there are plenty of excellent eating choices but be advised the vast majority of the highest rated restaurants are Italian.
4. The Venetian is somewhat conveniently located slightly on the northern end of the strip. The Mirage is a relatively short walk but any other hotel requires a significant walk. If you’re young, no problem but if your a senior or handicapped plan on taking some form of transportation.
The negatives :
1. The rooms need to be updated for today’s modern electronics. There are no electrical or usb outlets on the nightstands or near the bed. There is a desk with a couple of outlets and usb connections but it’s in the living room portion of the suite far from the bed.
2. We paid an extra 51 dollars a night (with tax) for a room with a view of the strip. Our view consisted mostly of two cranes on top of a fake building (a structure covered with a million dollar canvas to make it look like a building. We were, however, able to see the mountains in a distance. These views should be discounted. I would ask to see the view before upgrading.
3. Not the Venetians fault but we bought 4 day passes to the monorail which is normally a short walk from the Venetian. Unfortunately the nearest station is surrounded by construction turning a short walk into at least a 20 minute walk through the Bally’s hotel. DO NOT buy monorail tickets for at least the next several months if you’re staying at the Venetian. I think this is something they should mention at check-in.
Finally, we paid about 180 dollars a night before the resort fee (51 dollars a night - complete B.S. but your not going to avoid if you’re staying on the strip. Additionally as mentioned we paid 51 dollars a night for a strip view). This is about the most I’d be willing to pay. I see the Venetian advertised for over 600.00 dollars a night. I would never stay here for even close to that price.
Overall a very nice hotel if you don’t overpay.

Spent 4 nights over New Years with 2 other couples for sister in laws wedding. Requested rooms together twice in the preceding months with no response from hotel. Unable to honor at check in because we booked through a 3rd party. Front desk very unhelpful, we ended up in 3 different wings on 3 different floors. They justified it by saying it was inline with what other hotels of their calabar charge. Inline but realistic??? I could buy an annual gym pass for what they charged for 4 nights. The Grand lux Cafe was a very nice restaurant with excellent food and service. Lots of nice hotels and things to spend money on in Las Vegas, won't waste it on a money pit like The Venetian again.

Stayed here from the 3rd to 7th February and would NOT recommend for couples. Check in was fine and were asked if we wanted a strip view for an extra $50 dollars a night. As this was my wife’s birthday I had no problem going with it as it was our first time in Vegas. On getting to the room the view was of two cranes and a swimming pool under renovation. I didn’t mind this too much but on inspection of the room we noticed that the bed sheets were all creased and torn. I went to reception and after the person was quite rude we were move to another suite. The suite we were moved to had a balcony and the person at reception said that this was an extra benefit for the issue we had with the first room. On getting to the replacement room it had a door in it to an adjacent suite and the wind was blowing through the balcony door. I went back to reception and complained and they sent a maintenance man to fix it. In return from dinner they had duck taped the door and placed loads of towels on the ground. As it was late we didn’t want to complain again and move rooms as twice was enough having only arrived at 5pm. The next morning I asked for a manager and that afternoon we were changed to another room which was fine. The resort fee was waved for two night and we got a $50 food credit which wouldn’t even cover breakfast. If your going to a conference or playing a poker tournament here it’s fine but if your looking for a special place for a special occasion I suggest going somewhere else. All your getting here is a room and not the experience you would get in other 5 star hotels such as the Shangri la.

We visited Vegas again for my hubby bday (40th) and was disappointed with The Venetian. We have stayed at several hotels on the strip previously (Aria, Wynn, Vdara) and have to say this was by far the worst in terms of service and just in general. They did nothing special to mark my husband's birthday despite prior contact and requesting a small gesture (he does only get a birthday once every 4 years after all). The rooms are a bit outdated and the hotel is very overpriced, we paid $50 for burger and fries on our first night after an 11 hour flight we went within the hotel to the food court. Rooms were cleaned daily but not properly - the bag in our ice bucket was only replaced on the last day as well as cups not being rinsed out/replaced with clean ones? They charge extra for a kettle and you cannot even use the fridge for your own items! They charge a ridiculous daily fee for you to hire a fridge or can empty the one in your room for $150+! Quality of sleep was rubbish, despite switching the AC off there was still constant air pumping out of one of the vents, cleaner stated that cannot be switched off. Staff generally were friendly mostly but not the same standard as other 5* hotels we've stayed at to be honest. Expected a lot more Venetian, especially for a 5* hotel, will not be staying here again unfortunately.

As you would expect of this type of hotel in Las Vegas it’s huge and extravagant - what an experience! All the rooms are suites, we stayed in a Bella suite with two queen beds. On arrival we were offered an upgrade (for an extra cost) to a bigger suite, which we didn’t take up and I’m pleased we didn’t, the Bella was plenty big enough for our family of three and would accommodate four easily. There’s a separate sunken lounge area away from the main bedroom. The bathroom was huge with separate shower and bath, double sinks and the toilet is in a separate room as well! The hotel is vast with lots of great restaurants and bars, you could literally spend a whole holiday here without venturing outside. The hotel is spotlessly clean and runs like a Swiss timepiece! The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars and not 5 is the ‘resort fee’. I knew about this before I arrived, as I’m sure most people do and I know a lot of hotels in the US charge it. What I don’t understand is, as this is a mandatory charge, why not include it in the room rate, it’s not like you can opt out so it’s part of the per night cost anyway. At the Venetian it’s around $51 a night including tax, so that’s no small amount to fork out at the end of your several nights stay - just add it to the room cost upfront! All that said this is a fantastic hotel and worth the cost (even with resort fee)! 🙂

Overall nice property - not exceptional like the Wynn, Encore or Trump. Additional resort fee of $45 per day plus tax (on the resort fee) will be added to your bill. Were offered an upgrade - $40 per day for higher floor - not worth it. This "upgrade fee" was then changed to $45 plus tax (on the upgrade!) There is a refrigerator in the room with zero space for your personal things. If you remove anything to make room, you will be charged for those items. Highly recommend staying at the Trump instead, where you will enjoy a complete kitchen, daily coffee, no casino noise and absolutely no smoking.

Im writing this review as i am at the hotel. Stayed in a double queen suite. The rooms are very nice, the food is awesome at the restaurants, but i can not gibe higher than 3 stars due to the deceptive and unfair motion sensing mini bars in the room. We have been charged 60 dollars because we accidentally moved plastic wrapped items on the counter of the living area tv stand. We were NOT informed that simply moving these results in a very overpriced charge, at check in, and there is NO SIGNAGE on the counter indicating as such. The refrigerator is clearly marked so i understand a charge if we has moved anything or opened it. But is it too expensive for the Venetian to make a small plastic label that says “if you touch it you buy it” for the items on the counter? When some one checks in and isn't informed of the mini bar policy and then you get punished for curiosity, thats not customer service.
That being said, everything else about the Venetian has been great, and all the staff friendly and helpful. My only warning is - DO NOT TOUCH anything in the room that is marked “clean” such as waters or chips.
Im not a moron, i know how Las Vegas resorts operate, and i know how mini bars operate, but if you are going to sell items on the counter of the TV stand separate from the Mini fridge that has the policy on it, thats in a closed cabinet, at least put a label in the items saying that just jostling will result in a charge. We ended up keeping one of the items after we viewed our bill since once you move it even if you don't want to, you bought it. All im asking for is SIGNAGE or to be told upon checking that even moving the item is a charge. The items in my photo have nothing on them that say a movement of the item will result in a charge.
I would definitely stay at the Venetian again; but do read up on the mini bar policy before you come in.

We booked thru Expedia a week at the Venetian. This was our first time staying here on our 6th trip to Vegas. The room (29-133) is the best room we have stayed in. We normally book the 'standard room' and this is the grandest standard room. It does have a sunken living area with separate TV. Motorized blinds and curtains. Very comfortable bed with numerous pillows of varing sizes and firmess. The bathroom is very large with separate water closet, dual vanities, with separate tub and shower. No complaints about the room. Now with it being the first week of March they did have only a couple pools open and it was still a bit windy and cool for that. We did notice that there was no real direct sunlight onto any of the pool areas. I suspect later in the year when the sun is higher that may change?
Now to my complaint. When checking in we did not attempt the "$20 trick" at the desk. We simply politely asked if there was anything she could do for us about a high floor and or nicer strip view. She accommodated us with a high floor but said a strip view would be another $40/night. A bit high but we said OK and that was a disappointment. Compared to our other strip views, (Planet Hollywood, Treasure Island, New York New York, Paris) this is not what I would consider a strip view. Technically speaking, yes I can see the strip but certainly not what I would consider a view. Partially obstructed or partial view, would be appropriate terms for this room's view of the strip.
Overall though the hotel is fantastic, with very helpful staff and excellent housekeeping services.

Not sure if it's because of the ongoing pandemic, but my goodness - what happened to this resort? The crowd has gone downhill and I'm not sure if it's because of the lowered pricing due to the pandemic or what. Marijuana smells throughout the casino, loud / obnoxious crowds that can't manage to have conversations without the nearest 20 people hearing them, people not obeying social distancing or the elevator capacity rules (4 at a time allowed in an elevator with the exception of families).
On the bright side, my safety and protection did feel ensured during my stay. Hand sanitizer dispensers almost everywhere and masks/hand sanitizer provided in the rooms. My only complaint is that I am not sure how often, or if the elevators are frequently being wiped down. Expect lines to get in the elevators as well due to the capacity.
Definitely not the Venetian I remembered staying at.

I don’t know but the suite I was in during late September didn’t need updating. All the furniture and carpet were in great condition. From what I saw the remodel includes bed outlets and a non mini bar fridge which are nice updates but not wow improvements. My favorite color is purple. Not excited about the change to red.
