After a 5 hour drive to Las Vegas we were quite tired and needed to rest. The room was supposed to be ready at 3:00, but we had to wait around until 5:00. Since we had already paid for one night in that room, it should have been ready at 3. Also, we were disappointed that the hotel didn't offer...

Parking was really easy and close to the front entrance. It took us about three minutes to check into the hotel. The rooms are fully renovated and comfortable. The coffee shop restaurant has a very wide variety. The Italian restaurant is excellant but the steakhouse is really a treat. Consistently one of the best steakhouses on the strip. The staff...

We were in the Bungalows as they called it and the room was very nice although the walls were so thin we could hear our neighbours performing their morning ablutions as if they were in the same room. It had a small balcony which was nice although it overlooked the car park which was not so nice. The lady who...

Not a bad hotel, but since we stayed at The Mirage last week I think it's safe to say the latter is a better choice. Better/more parking, better buzz in casino, overall more value for money compared to Tropicana. We stayed in the Paradise tower, so called a plus room compared to the Club tower. As the Paradise tower was...

I stayed at the Tropicana for a wedding in November and to my surprise it was nicely renovated and part of the Double Tree/Hilton Family. Upon arrival our room was not ready, it was two hours past arrival time and so I asked if any other rooms were available and that I would pay the difference. After checking, they upgraded...

Two night stay which was very enjoyable even though I do not gamble. Rooms good, staff very professional but not over pushy to relieve you of your chattels. My wife had a bit of a flutter and enjoyed the experience and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel for a Vegas experience.

Using Tripadvisor to guide my choices of hotels mid-week in Las Vegas, I managed a $64 per night rate (including the crazy $19.99 resort fee) at the newly renovated Tropicana Hotel. First, the hotel is very well located, easy to get into and out of, and such good access to the freeway taking you quickly to the rest of the...

I was really surprised this hotel was a Hilton. There was even a resort fee on top of the price I had already paid on hotels.com which was disappointing. In addition, the resort fee only paid for the slowest internet speed and they considered discount comedy show tickets to be part of the fee as well. In addition, the line...

I guess I'm a bit of an anomaly because, unlike other middle-aged people, I prefer to stay at the old casinos in Vegas rather than at the modern mega-resorts. I love the Tropicana for that reason. Although it has been updated and modernized, it still has the feel of a casino rather than an amusement park or shopping mall. There...
