Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino offers a unique stay with its medieval theme, but some travelers feel it's lost some luster with a dated atmosphere and rooms in need of a refresh. While the staff's friendliness stands out, guests have had mixed experiences with service speed and professionalism. The hotel's location near the Strip is a highlight, yet its value is debated due to hidden fees and costly amenities. Moreover, noise can be an issue, and guests are split on the cleanliness standards. Despite satisfactory amenities, the lack of modern room conveniences like fridges is noted.

The room booked did not have the amenities listed. When I went to the front desk and inquired, There was supposed to be a coffee maker and a mini bar in the room as stated in the description, but there wasn't. I had to get back in the check in line three times in a row because the key wouldn't work. I inquired about a refrigerator and was told there would be a $25.00 charge per night. The resort fee and parking fee on top of the room and refrigerator fee just doesn't add up to the quality of the room.

Hotel's Favourite
Over the years I have seen The Excalibur Hotel and Casino get a bad rap in mentions as not being a good selection for a hotel on the Vegas Strip. I was pleasantly surprised to find my room large, clean, in good shape, and with outstanding housekeeping service keeping me in towels, washrags, and toiletries daily. Something many hotels are skimping on using Covid as an excuse. The casino was also modern, clean, and with a great variety of slot machines. Excalibur is also well situated on the Strip near New York New York and Bally's.

Loretta at the Excalibur Dragon Lair store is AWESOME! Every time I come to Las Vegas I visit this store and hope that she is there... and she WAS this trip! This store has cool merchandise at reasonable prices- My Daughter and I bought several things during this last visit and Loretta- as usual- packed them up with great care. I cannot recommend her highly enough. THANK YOU Excalibur Retail Operations for hiring such a great employee! She and this store made My Las Vegas Day!

Went to the snack shop on the first floor and was greeted by Dexter H. Dexter was professional and super friendly even though it was late in the evening/early morning. I appreciated his smile and great service! Excalibur and its customers are lucky to have Dexter H. Serving the customers.

The Excalibur has the friendliest customer service staff. Shoutout to Brenda at the front desk, letting us check-in early and having a late check-out. We stayed there for 6 days. Royal Tower 27th Floor. Great Room and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping team was nice daily. This Casino smells better than others down the strip. We went into all casinos down the strip and a few that are more $$$$ have went downhill and smell badly. The food prices are overpriced and that is in every casino. We went to the Target & ABC Store on the Strip and purchased food & drinks. Excalibur you can walk to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay without going outside which is nice. Avis Rental is Onsite at Excalibur and use the MGM App, and you can get a discount. The Pool is very nice. To get the free lounge chairs get out there when it opens up. You can get great spots. There are 4 pools.

During my recent stay at the Excalibur Hotel, I was greeted Luchie at the front desk, who exemplified exceptional customer service. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel valued from the moment I arrived. She efficiently checked me in, answered all my questions with a smile, and even provided me with helpful tips about the hotel's amenities. Luchie truly exceeded my expectations, and her friendliness added a special touch to my overall experience. A definite standout in hospitality!

First entering the lobby, it’s nothing special. Heavy carpeted and a hill to climb at every entrance. Small dumpy elevator and once we exit to our floor, I noticed the low ceiling, narrow halls. It’s dark and dumpy. The rooms have a 1” gap at the bottom of the door. The room smelled like musk, something like pest poison and Chinese food. I noticed some sort of round packets wedged in the air vent… pest repellent? Not sure. The wallpaper is stained and old, outdated furniture that is worn and then there is the bathrooms. The shower is very 90’s and leaks so the floor gets sopping wet when used. The rim of the shower has mold all around. I guess if you don’t mind all that, then you have an affordable option right on the strip.

This place is a hellhole. Arrived on a Thursday evening after a delayed flight so everyone was tired. Queued to check in, extremely unfriendly receptionist - we asked for one of our rims to have a nice view as it’s my parents 60th wedding anniversary, they stuck them in a tired room which stack of stale cigarette smoke and looked out at a wall about 10 feet away. Ron 3143 - avoid any and all rooms around it!! My keycard stopped working the first full day here - needed to access my room urgently as I had the show tickets, only to find a receptionist - CINDY - who just shrugged at me after I’d trolled back to reception and said I needed ID, which was, you guessed it, in the safe in my room… she told me a member of security would have to meet me by the escalators… 15 mins later and still no sign of anyone from security, however a security lady on duty nearby took pity on me, spotting I was getting upset, and offered to take me up - thank you ALESHA!!! The only helpful member of staff we found at the horror show that is the Excalibur. Loud noise through the night kept everyone awake, shouting and arguing all through the night. Dodgy lamp in mum’s room? Pretended she didn’t hear. Stay somewhere else - anywhere else…

Check in was fine. Slots too tight for 4 days. Cage Cashier, Barbara, was the friendliest staff member of all!!! Room had no tub - sad. Did not experience pool due to chilly weather. Overall stay 👍
