Even though the Motor Lodge is separate from the hotel and casino, it is a mere short walk away from the main building, is quiet, comfortable, well maintained, and has ample parking. The ac was a welcome relief to the 100 degree outdoor temperatures endured while visiting the Carson Valley.

Thank you for your nice comments regarding our Motor Lodge. It is a more affordable alternative to our main hotel, but the bedding, towels, beds and amenities are the same as the main hotel. We always get a couple of weeks of really hot weather in the summer and fortunately the temps are dropping back to normal this week. Thank...

We stayed here for one night as we passed through on our way to Yosemite. We stayed in the Motor Lodge which is actually affiliated with the Inn & Casino 2 doors away. All the facilities at the Inn are available to Motor Lodge visitors and while not far away they will even shuttle you back and forth if you...

Thank you very much for your nice assessment of your stay in our Motor Lodge. I'm really happy to hear that our staff was so helpful with your wife getting her luggage up to the second floor room. Please let us know if you need anything else. Yours Truly, Matt Carter Director of Hotel Operations

We've stayed several times at the CVI and its always pleasant. This trip was in the Motor Lodge which was a first. The service was nice and the room was adequate. The Motor Lodge is a bit dated but they keep it clean and accommodating. We enjoy the main hotel more and would not hesitate to return to the CVI....

We stayed in the motor lodge. Contrary to other negative reviews, I thought the motor lodge was really nice. The king bed was very comfortable, the A/C was great, the bathroom had everything, and the room was very large. It was just a short walk to the main building. We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. We wanted to eat...

Thank you for your nice words regarding our Motor Lodge. I do think that among guests who have not been here before there is sometimes disappointment not being in the main Hotel. Guests select the value of the Motor Lodge and when they get here they realize that the main Hotel has so much convenience and is so nice. If...

We like to go to the Minden/Carson area for some down time every two years. This time we drove via CA-89, CA-88 which turns in to NV-88 and eventually onto 395. Could not get over how desolate Alpine County is in CA. We asked for room by the elevator. As usual the Wi-Fi system in the room leaves a lot...

This trip we stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. Great room, very clean. The breakfasts in Katie's restaurant were outstanding. We ate dinner at the CV Steak restaurant four times and all the meals were outstanding. Maggie the server was great. If you like lamb chops, they are outstanding. The dining room has many booths and has a great...

This hotel/casino is dated , but convenient. The bathrooms are huge and tons of counter space! Rooms are a little noisy with upper level walking, but the price is good. Clean, roomy and the casino/hotel is small enough for big groups to meet and greet during stay. Lots of conference rooms available for cocktail/meetings.

We came for a wedding so spent two nights. I booked us in the motor lodge instead of the inn because it was cheaper. I did not realize it was a couple of blocks to the inn where the gym and pool are. Decent weather so okay, but I wouldn't do that again. No refrigerator or safe. Those are almost...

Thank you for your comments. Our Motor Lodge is 300 yards from the main hotel/casino/restaurant complex. Our RV Park sits between the main complex and the Motor Lodge. While we have made many upgrades to our Motor Lodge in recent years, there are still some more we need to make. Thanks for mentioning the refrigerator and safe. All of our...

My family and I stayed at CVI overnight for a wedding reception. The casino, restaurant, and reception area were clean and well maintained. The rooms really need some work... I'm sorry to hear there were some issues with your stay. I'm particularly upset about the bath towels and toilet cleaning because this is something we normally do really well. Carson Valley Inn has the main hotel & casino, separated from the motor lodge by a parking lot. Thank you for your nice review and noticing that we have continued to upgrade the Motor Lodge.
