The hotel looks pretty in the common areas, and they have a lot of very interesting old items (old fashioned cash register, slot machine, pinball machines, etc). The rooms though were very outdated and in need of general maintenance. The service in the restaurant was very slow, we ate dinner and breakfast there. The food though was fine.

Weekend away in the mountains, great mountain views, hiking trails, great food at the restaurant (breakfast skillet kept me full for 24 hours). Restaurant has windows overlooking the mountains. The rooms are small and functional, the mattress and pillows are uber-comfortable. Killer "Bloody Mary" in the morning starts the day off right. The hotel was quiet and comfortable with a... More

This is a nice, pleasant place but you may want to bring your own food because it is difficult to eat in their restaurant. You will simply stand around waiting forever for someone to see you; let alone get waited on. No staff. No internet service or PHONE service so drive the kids crazy with a visit here and let... Title says it all. Completely unreliable to treat my friend and his guests (including me) this way. Mt. Charlatan more like it. Reservation deposits paid by individual guests. Told that refunds would be sent----still waiting. Scam. Swindle. Shady.

If you're a Las Vegas local or just a out of towner seeking refuge from the city then this place is for you. The service is friendly, the rooms are cozy and quiet, and the restaurant has yummy steaks and hearty breakfasts. Just being there for a day was a full refresher. The resort isn't huge but simple and not... More

PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't book here. Our son's wedding was booked for months and THREE DAYS before the wedding we were told that our block of 20 rooms were overbooked and we had to find accommodations elsewhere. VP of sales was not only difficult to work with but very unprofessional for what would have been a very... More

The Hotel was really nice, the staff was super friendly. However, the room and bathroom was dated, and needed updates like a refrigerator and microwave, and patching holes where older window dressings were. Additionally, the shower head comes out of the wall at the 5'9" mark and points down, so any normal male has to duck in the shower, which... More

I was there for a wedding and only had a drink at the bar - didn't stay. There was only one bartender for a crowded bar and it took forever to get a drink. He wasn't terribly friendly nor accommodating either. The place itself has a nice ambiance and some nice views, but I wouldn't visit the bar when it... More

Really relaxing, very pretty hotel with a lodge feeling. Only one restaurant with not too many selections, but BIG portions. A side could easily be a full meal. It is understaffed, but you have to consider the traffic, it isn't ever that busy. The outside and decorating were beautiful. I wish they would clean the mountain facing windows more so... More

This was once a fine hotel. It is currently an under-staffed disaster! The front desk clerk is frequently absent from her post, because she is also cleaning the rooms. The cook didn't show up on in the morning so there was no food service on-site. Which is a big deal when you are staying at a property in the middle... More
