My husband and I stayed at the El Dorado for the first time during President’s Day weekend. The desks clerk was courteous and knowledgeable. We had a great view of the Reno Aces ballpark. The windows in the room were huge and there was a lot of light in the room. We stayed in the king supreme room and it was a good size room. I enjoyed the small couch and the separate table next to it. The light in the bathroom was good and I appreciated the magnifying mirror located on the wall near the sink. The room was exceptionally clean and the decor was elegant. We will be returning to the El Dorado!

We spent our second night in Reno at El Dorado. We were given a room on the 11th floor, right next to the elevator area.

We were happy to find a clean room. We had a nice view of the parking garage attached to El Dorado, but the views of the snow capped mountains in the background were beautiful.

We were very happy to find a fridge in the room too! We were able to bring our leftovers back to eat for late night snacking.

The hotel is attached to Circus Circus and Silver Legacy. There is a food court and multiple other restaurants around, that are easily accessible and have some pretty good food.

Our room was great - with the exception of some loud and rambunctious guests who decided that they couldn’t hear each other talking normally, while standing 3 feet from each other & decided to yell every communication at each other. Thankfully that didn’t last long. I think some extra noise is expected when you’re right by the elevator, but that’s the only noise that bothered us.

The beds were comfortable. Fell asleep very easily. We loved that the thermostat was accessible and we could adjust the room temperature to a comfortable setting. We love the dimmable reading lights over the beds too - wonderful for anyone who likes to read in bed.

When we called the front desk to request extra towels, we got them pretty quickly.

Check in and check out were very easy. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. We wish we had booked all the nights of our trip at this hotel.

This is the second time my boyfriend and I have stayed at Eldorado and we were just as pleased as the first time. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and the prices are good for what is offered. The staff is also kind, as well, which is a huge factor for me as I used to work in hotel management and customer service can make or break a stay. Kudos on the kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help!

The ONLY thing I can comment on that needs A LITTLE work is attention to detail. I placed an order for a Sweetheart’s Package (roses, chocolate strawberries, and champagne) through Room Service a week prior to our stay and was told everything was taken care of. I’m glad I double checked earlier on during the day of our arrival because I was told there was no order for this, which was a bit annoying as I’d provided a credit card number and all. While this was a minor annoyance that I’d have liked to not have experienced, the woman who helped me was super sweet and made sure she took care of everything. Despite this small snafu, when we arrived, the setup was so pretty and everything I’d hoped for! My boyfriend was surprised and loved the cute heart of rose petals on the bed, the delicious sweet treats, and the excellent champagne! The care taken by whomever set up was great and made up for the mistake. I know things can get crazy around certain holidays, I’ve dealt with it first hand, that’s why it’s was a small deal, but still worth noting should management support staying on top of things.

Otherwise, we had a fabulous time, we’ve decided to make this our “go to” hotel for future stays, and we will be returning as soon as we can for much needed relaxation and fun!

We came to Reno to get some work done, but since we hadn’t been anywhere in a while due to the pandemic. Overall staying in a hotel is supposed to be low risk and because there were some killer deals combined with probably not taking a real vacation this year, we splurged for the biggest suite available. The pictures looked good, it was highly rated, was conveniently located, and I was impressed with the described Covid precautions so we went for it.

We arrived pretty late so we just wanted to get in and get food. No valet understandably, no room service, also understandably. We were given an info sheet with all the food options available and told we could call in an order and pick up that night. Except everything on the sheet was already closed. Fortunately we could see Mels Diner from our room so we placed an order there and walked over to pick up.

Masks are being “worn” and they took our temperature at check in, but many are wearing their masks under their noses and sometimes chin. They are not checking temps when walking into the casino nor is there staff enforcing mask wearing.

The room is spacious and the views are nice. However, the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, which was annoying. I always choose nonsmoking rooms but I didn’t get the option when booking and the front desk didn’t ask so it seems like they are tired of trying to enforce it.

As expected, no housekeeping until after we check out, but options for additional towels, etc if needed. There was plenty in the room though. The bed is soft/broken down. Didn’t bother me as much, but hubby had a sore back when we got up.

Cleanliness in the room was just ok. There’s spots on the windows where you can see the imprint of other people’s faces/heads. Sheets had small stains on them but at least they were laundered and there was no bedspread to worry about, which was nice. And not having a mini bar (another Covid change?) meant we had a fridge at our disposal.

The worst thing is that in the middle of the night I kept waking up smelling strong cigarette smoke in the room, which was concerning. We are trying to be as careful as possible (I’m working from home, we always wear masks, don’t eat out, avoid groups and mostly stay home) for multiple reasons and eliminated any properties who didn’t have a covid statement on their website. With a pandemic that is mostly spread through breath vapor and droplets, I’m very uncomfortable with the idea that our room is possibly connected to others through ductwork. I’m really hoping there is another explanation.

The price was very reasonable but this experience has made me reconsider travel during the pandemic.

At 3 pm check in only 3 people to register the long line. Then we got to the non-smoking room and it had obviously been smoked in. Our only options were to have them spray or put an ionizer in the room for 30 mins. We have been waiting 15 minutes for someone to show up. Not a good start to our much needed vacation. Won't be coming back.

The hotel offers a very good combination.

I stayed on one of the newly renovated rooms. The room had a very nice update. The cleaning staff did an excellent job!!! The fridge was quiet and the shower was good. Everything worked and and I slept soundly. I did not hear the rooms next to me.

All four pillows were thick and the same - suggest bringing your own, if you sleep on a medium thick one.

I had to move from the seventh floor to the tenth floor to escape the vibrating sound of the roof top HVAC units a few floors down - suggest asking for the highest floors. It seemed like the larger queen rooms were on the opposite side of the tower and might not have this issue.

There was about a 1.5 inch gap under the door. The sound transfer from the hall could be very audible during the day. The hotel guests in my section were quite and I was not bothered by it at night. Suggest stuffing a towel under the door, if it might be an issue.

The staff was very nice overall. The casino and public restrooms (newly renovated )were kept very clean. There is a good collection of restaurants and for all budgets.

I had a lot of fun going between the three casinos. The RTP was good. The drink service at the slots was above average and friendly. The Laugh Factory was good and recommended!! I enjoyed all my meals. The music was also very good In the gaming areas - a nice treat.

The Automobile museum just down the street is excellent!!

Overall, I had surprisingly good time. I usually play in Vegas and I wanted to try something new. I will come enjoy the Row again, in the near future.

Recommended!!

The staff was extremely nice and professional. Check-in was fast and the attached parking garage made it very convient. The room and bathroom was large. My complaints would be the wall thermostat was difficult to read and set. And the shower needed updating and water pressure was lacking

This was our first trip since COVID and we headed to Reno via Amtrak from the Bay Area - which was the purpose of the trip. We booked the El Dorado due to its proximity to the train station (2 short blocks). Masks were optional in the hotel, and the majority of guests were not wearing masks. We paid over $200/night and had a good sized premium King room on the 21st floor. A/C did not seem to respond to changing temperatures - room never went below 70 degrees, so not as cool as we would have wanted. Poor value for money which is really down to the little things: Keurig machine didn't work properly, no stirrers provided, creamer containers were curdled, no 'Do Not Disturb Sign',

When the usbc open national tournament is in Reno we always stay at the eldorado. In the last 6 or 7 times we have never had any problems and always enjoyed our stay. This time I chose to get a suite thinking it would be more comfortable for my husband. Turned out to be the worst experience of my life. The room was filthy even found food in the ice machine in our room not to mention the drugs that were under the bed that I found while trying to find a item of my that the maids had accidentally thrown away because it was under a towel. My husband had to sleep on the couch because the air conditioning wasn’t working and it was too hot to sleep in the bedroom. I reported everything to the front desk and out of the 7 major issues ( one was the deadbolt didn’t work) they only fixed one which was clean one thing I asked them to please clean but when they did that they picked up the hand towel and threw away one of my items that I had under it. I understand that they were full but how can they let people stay in a room that doesn’t have a working air conditioner. They finally offered for us to move rooms late on our last night there. I was told that the property manager was busy with a vip event and didn’t have time to talk to me but they would call me on Saturday. I was told that 6 times and now it’s been three days and still no response from anyone about my lost property. No I have to pay 4000.00 to replace my missing property. The worst thing is that they make us check out of the room before I got to get everything taken care of or at least speak to the resort manager so they could have it ready for the next guest. They didn’t even fix the problem with the air conditioner for the next guests either. This hotel doesn’t care about their guests unless you are a high roller and or spending lots of money in the casino. I’m so disappointed in staff at the hotel. The only people that even tried to help us were the security guards staff they were great.
