It had been 23 years since I had been to Reno, and it’s definitely gone downhill. The Eldorado remains one of the nicer hotels downtown, but it still needs some upgrading. The room itself was great, but there is definitely some wear and tear throughout...More
This was our second stay at The Eldorado for Hot August Nights. We enjoyed it as much as last year. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from and the casino was a nice size and not too smoky. We especially liked the security...More

TRIP ADVISOR should have sent you a confirmation number via email or text. I would call them and let them know what your concerns are. I know more about the El Dorado Hotel than I know of Trip Advisors methods of everything they do. I do know that you should have a confirmation number when you went through Trip Advisor. Also, once you have the confirmation number, you will need to contact the hotel you've chosen to stay at and make your reservation. Don't ever assume the other party will do everything for you and even if they did, I stay with the old saying, "CYA" (cover your buns!) Always cover your own back, get names of people and/or take notes if needed. Good Luck!
