I'm saddened to write this review, and honestly surprised at the experience I had, given the overall positive reviews on this site. The good: staff was SUPER nice...truly. Which is why I find it hard to write this review, but I have to bring a little balance to the universe. At almost $200 a night, I expected better...much better in...

My hubby and I returned to the scene of our wedding, the lovely Grand Dame of Virginia City...the Tahoe House Hotel. We spent 3 nights and had such a time. First of all the hotel was very sparsely populated this trip and the other folks who were her guests while we were there we seldom saw or heard. The owners...

This is a genuine old hotel beautifully fitted out with appropriate furniture, right in the middle of a 19th century mining town. We were given a warm and helpful welcome by Tammy and the whole experience was idyllic.

I stayed at the Tahoe House for one night mid-week. I was a little hesitant because of the price (it's slightly most expensive than the other hotels in town) but it turned out to be worth the price and then some! Amazingly, my boyfriend and I were the only guests in the entire hotel! We got got checked in and...

I recently returned for another visit to Virginia City and the Tahoe House, my 4th. This trip I stayed 4 nights at this beautifully restored piece of history. I was treated like royalty by the beautiful hotel manager Tammi Davis. She is wonderful. I stayed in room 3 again. It has a fireplace and was very charming and cozy. The...

My husband and I ended our road-trip vacation in Virginia City as that is where my grandfather was born and I had never been there. I pored over places to stay and Tahoe House stood out as the right place for us. The Tahoe House Hotel turned out to be a wonderful place to stay. Tammy, the manager, did a...

This hotel was awesome! Where to even begin? We were greeted by the friendliest woman, Tammy- who was even nice enough to carry our bags to our room- the Mark Twain Room. The hotel's location was perfect- right on the main street ( which is where all the action happens), with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was totally...

My husband and I had a memorable stay at Tahoe House in Virginia City, NV. The owners have paid close attention to detail and we could feel the pride they have taken in restoring this old hotel. The old west antiques are beautiful without feeling like there's too much clutter. If you want a romantic get away this is your...
