No problem we went to the bar where the bar personal had our reservation and keys to our room. She gave us a tour of the hotel and was very friendly. I asked her what if the bar was closed when we got there she said they would have left the... More

Very cool and fun. Nice rooms. Bar is classic. Check out Virginia City. This is a historic hotel in a very interesting part of the NEV history. Dinner was a buffet with a surprising amount of good tasty food.

I was really looking forward to the stay. The room is historic. But poorly furnished. No desk, two stuffed swivel chairs that were so low and soft as to be unusable. No staff on site over night. When my wife tried to use the hairdryer after washing her hair it did not work.It was 8 AM. I wandered over the... More

Our room was nice, spacious, and comfortable with the exception of one thing - The AC could not keep up with the baseboard heater, which would not turn off! Chris, the bartender, was able to move us to another room the first night while they worked on it. The second night we had to move back to the original room.... More

The hotel is reportedly the oldest in Nevada. Lovely old looking building full of character. Lots of haunted tales and mines around it that 37 miners lost their lives in over 100 years ago. We booked a double room with bathroom . Very small room , bed small too. Clean but basic. But after all that's the character of the... More

We have been here several times, usually just for a drink in the great rustic bar. We have also had bar snacks that were excellent. As on previous occasions we struck up conversations with other people at the bar - always something interesting. This time we also stayed for dinner. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the food... More

I do not think I have ever written an overall negative review, so this will be my first. I usually find something good to share. -We decided to stay because on the restaurant menu online it showed burgers and typical bar food, which is what my husband and I like. Nope, only steaks and seafood, but it was late and... More
